Apparently we're after Bordeaux's Yoan Gouffran. He is naturally a winger but he's been playing as a forward lately and finished as Bordeaux's top goal scorer last season. They were interested in both, but it was gourcuff who they nearly signed. gouffran is a good player but i dont think he would come to us... also he is genuinely allergic to grass haha

Loads of reports today suggesting that the pienaar deal is so close and he is gonna sign for a fee of about 5 million. 5 million is quite a lot for us so the money is probably coming from the Yobo deal.
However if we do sign a third person this window, I really hope it's luc Castaignos. He is a striker yet can play on both wings. He would be a quality addition and with him, pienaar and Naismith, I really do think that a champions league spot isn't that far away.

If we can start well. Been saying last few seasons we travel to far in pre season and players tired. Horrified when I heard we 3rd on the air miles in pre season

With our recent signings (January included) Kids coming through and maybe one or two new faces I for one am confident for the new season, if we get off to a decent start there is no reason we can not hit the top four this time around.

Ive read somewhere that we are looking at bringing in 2 players,but cant remember where i read it.
The 2 player are Costa Rica hotshot Winston Parks and Pacey Leicester winger Lloyed Dyer.
I would love the two of them so hope its true!

I'd love the two also if we were a championship side.

rumours going round that pienaar has gone on tour with spurs (twiter) so looks like he's a no go. anyway heard we are looking at matt phillips now as kenwright doesnt want to spend the full 5 million for peanuts

we may be in for Charlie Adam. For the obvious reason I hope it's not true. However, he's a good player........ We wanted him before he made the worst move of his career.

There's no interest in Adam we've got lots of centre mids, plus he wouldn't get near are team so Moyes will strengthen other areas where we need it
