already got odds of 20/ 1 mate, only thing is he needs to be next manager sacked and I suspect Mr Garde may ruin that bet for me.

The fact he is 20-1 shows either the bookies know something we don't OR they not as aware as we think re the totally worsening gulf between us and him.

michael carrick his next target? surely that will put the final nail in his coffin.

Just had a quick catch up on the recent posts. Predictably anti Martinez. As has been said Moshiri didn't get where he is today by being a soft touch. I'm sure he will do the right things for EFC and be as decisive as required in the club's best interests. We have to trust him. He will know when to act and I'm sure will have his targets.
Thought I'd check my usual bookies site and a few others to see the names quoted at 25/ 1 or less to be our next manager. The majority wouldn't be on my short list and a lot of the names are quite simply, laughable, unrealistic or would incense the fans.
The names: Moyes, Dunc, G Neville, Carragher, Hiddink, Villas Boas, M Laudrup, H Redknapp, Tuchel, Rogers, Stubbs, Klinsmann, Ancelotti, Bielsa.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - bielsa would do me fine tedster..

22 Mar 2016 01:32:19
hiddink, klinsmann, ancellotti for me. no particular order, any one of them.

Agree0 Disagree2

22 Mar 2016 10:59:18
Hiddink not for me, seems to like short appointments and we need someone long term, Ancelotti I would love but Bayern Munich might have something to say about that, Klinsmann yes yes yes, would attract stars but he has had big offers and turned them down already, seems too settled in the US of A, my favourite choice would be Koeman, he would come and attract stars, Mr Moshiri Kerching.

I honestly think Stubbs would be a good manager. Knows the club. He's doing well up north (yes I know it's the spl but what he's doing up there is good regardless) . He knows it's about stopping goals as well as scoring them. He lives and breaths football and without a doubt was the reason on many occasions we stayed up and progressed excellent captain and leader. Talk about dunc is rubbish learned yes coach yes but imho not a manager. Think it's an outside the box idea but think he would be a good manager and have cash to improve and what a manager for stones to learn off a defender of his quality.

I still think Dave unsworth would do a decent job.I know we all want a high profile manager if Martinez gets sacked, but I like the notion of giving someone at the club the chance they deserve,and for me rhino deserves that chance.

Ronda, coudnt of put it better myself fella, 2 cup finals in2 years for a championship side and a win percentage of 61%.

22 Mar 2016 20:08:04
So that's a resounding no to Stubbs then 🙈😂.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Mar 2016 12:51:37
Stubbs should never have left the club, needs to manage at a higher level before coming back to Everton but maybe our manager one day.

23 Mar 2016 14:35:41
As a Scottish fan, I can assure you that Martinez is on a different planet to Stubbs. Be very careful what you wish for.

What a joke, imagine if you can getting paid 30k a week (yes a week not a year) .
Spend most of the time getting yet another sick note from the Doc, then publicly slag off your employers for being 'unfair'.
Christ Piennar it must be a real worry to your misses how yer going to pay the mortgage in July!

Sorry Mush but Peanut is on 65k a week, was on 60k at Spurs and I remember reading that we increased his wages to get him back, poor sod.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im thinking of having a whip round for him degs..what do you reckon mate?.. :)

21 Mar 2016 20:36:22
Ive just read it now Mush, what planet is he on seriously if he thinks he will even get a contract, Everton are not being unreasonable because they won't meet his agent, Everton are not meeting because you are not getting a new contract Peanut, he just had millions for playing 2 training matches of footie a week, lost for words, bye Peanut, you were once good then you wernt, one very rich lucky man.

21 Mar 2016 21:24:33
Ye start the whip eds I'll chip in a half years wage for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - ill chip in as well pb...with 20 lashes.. :)

21 Mar 2016 22:15:21
he can have my winnings from my £30 Saturday bet, a measly £1, glad I don't bet to win :)

22 Mar 2016 01:27:43
What's with the anti Piennar comments? All he's saying is that no one within the club is giving him any indication to whether or not he has a future. I think his service to us is owed some honesty. He just wants game time and I hope we haven't seen the last of him. I think the interview when he was in tears showed how much loves Everton.

Agree2 Disagree2

22 Mar 2016 11:00:38
There were no tears when he jumped ship when Spurs came a knocking, massive gap left when he went, then he came back on more dollar.

Was just about to post that myself murf.yet he hardly played and cost us more than he was worth because of greedy sod levy.

After reading some of the posts in relation to Arsenal and some of their supporters wish to see Arsene Wenger go, if he were to leave Arsenal for whatever reason, what are the thoughts on him coming to Everton if/ when Martinez gets his P45?
That's supposing he'd be available or interested in the job.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Arsene Wenger's contract ends in June 2017 and you can add him to the list with Mourinho et al who will not be joining Everton. Sorry.}

21 Mar 2016 11:24:49
The admin on the site is so negative you are the kind of supported who still thinks everton are a small club why can't we attract big names?

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is not negative, it is simply the truth. Feel free to fantasize all you wish but don't complain about the editors providing less frenzied information.}

21 Mar 2016 12:19:15
Have to agree Jay

In all fairness most eds are good but, this may get me banned bit Ed002 needs to mellow a bit. Too sharp and harsh with comments. Very business like and straight.

I understand about keeping feet on ground and stuff but we are humans and more importantly football fans so we live to dream and hope. Let us keep that, even if you know it's a load of bull.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Humans? I can ban you if you want me to?}

21 Mar 2016 12:45:37
Up to you. Just wish you were a little softer and less matter of fact. We all agree with what you say is fact and especially in terms of finance you know your stuff but we are evertonians and we need constant cheering up and positivity.

And yes. Human nature means we wanna believe that we can win every game and tournament we enter. At least for me anyway. Glass half full rather than half empty.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - The rainbow-haired children were playing in the magical garden where they spend their days on the back of unicorns chasing butterflies. Young Farhad said he was going to buy Everton soccerball team any players and manager they want as he threw colored confetti in to the air and blew bubbles from his Chad Valley Bubble Machine. Talking labradoodle #WonderDogSparky danced around singing "Who Put The Benzedrine In Mrs Murphys Ovaltine".

Actually, unless I lose some weight I will continue to be far to soft.}

That's got to be the funniest thing you have ever said Ed, defo funnier that the other funny comment you posted in 2015 (Xmas)

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Mar 2016 13:54:14
Ed002 is and always has been informative I have found and I believe he is right in what he states I would rather have real hard facts than sugar coated dreams and wishes. The last response there ed had me tickled got the kids bedtime story sorted

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2016 14:52:21
And with that comment I now know that Ed002 is a fair bit older than some would think. I remember the use of Bennies in 1967.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2016 15:25:50
As ed said we would have not change of getting someone like Wenger and almost non of getting Mourinho, however a year ago I would have given Leicester no chance of recruiting Ranieri and they did and look at what he has done. It's the "et al" bit that is going to be interesting. Their has to be a better option than Martinez.
