Have just read a rumour which alarms me! If true, we are supposed to be interested in a possible loan deal for Sissoko from Tottenham? I sincerely hope not. Apparently Levy is preferring a sale, rather than a loan deal and the report states that we ARE interested? Wouldn't touch him with a smelly brown stick after the lack of respect he showed Everton when we were trying to sign him last year. Please Mr Moshiri can you please finally get this deal for Gylfi Sigurdsson done and dusted as I believe he could be a hugely important piece in Ronald Koemans potentially very exciting jigsaw for the coming season and the future. Hopefully get a top striker through the gates of Finch Farm asap and could maybe rival Chelsea for the signature of Oxlade-Chamberlain. Sky just repot ed that Arsenal to open talks with Chelsea in the next 48hrs over signing him. If we can't get Giroud then let's go back to Ajax for Dolman who is about to become one of the most sort afer young talents in Europe. Not long now Blues. season is nearly upon us. COYB.

Don't believe everything you read. The story is nothing more than click-bait!

it's now being reported that sissy is going to west brom for 21 mill so i guess the story linking us to him was from spurs as they drive up the price so stupid of brom to fall for it. i guess he can now help the black and white stripes of brom get relegated like he did with newcastle how can a player like this command nearly 50 mill in transfer fee's in just over a year, crazy i believe newcastle paid around 1.5 mill for him.

Kamil Grosicki of Hull being mentioned. I'd be very happy with this one - he had a cracking end to the season. Very quick and direct and a great cross on him. Any truth in these rumours?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it looks like we are interested tadpole, i have to be honest and say i have never heard of him mate..

21 Jul 2017 22:12:54
Fingers crossed then - He was very good at the Euros in 2016 and very impressive for Hull when he came in January.

21 Jul 2017 22:28:27
He's a good player but is he an improvement on who we have, personally I don't see it, but if he was to become a toffee I would get behind all the way.

kamil grosicki surely ends this sissy talk they are both wingers, at least i hope so.

Ed you have never heard of him? I'm sure he nearly signed under Martinez or we had serious interest in him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - my old brain is getting haggard i think dunc..

22 Jul 2017 06:40:41
Ed 025 - we were linked with him last summer (in the media at least) after he had a 'decent' Euros.
Hard working and seemed to do okay for Hull. We are lacking a bit of width in the squad now with Geri gone, McGeady ( who? ) gone, Bolasie injured and Mirallas still to convince as a wide player. So maybe he would give us options.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i do remember the name now dave, pity i cant even remember if i have put sugar in my tea mate.. :)

22 Jul 2017 16:46:07
I'm not convinced he is a player that will take us forward just like mcgeady.

Hi eds .

Not believing this for a second, but thought I'd ask. but does everton have any interest in blaise matuidi?
The French sports tag l'euipe are saying were after him .

Cheers for any info eds.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - no fanatic its not happening mate, cost mega and juve are after him ..

21 Jul 2017 21:25:48
I don't think he'd come to us, but what a signing he'd be.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 22:13:54
Says he could be available for 18 million, now at 30 years old could be a bargain, and we can offer the wages, never say never.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 23:41:53
Also has Raiola as an agent so probably wise to swerve that one.

22 Jul 2017 08:40:22
matuidi is a defensive mid isn't he? so we wouldn't be in for him anyway this is one position we are not looking to fill not a priority anyway at least i don't think so.

Hi eds any truth in the rumours that Everton are trying to sign blaisie matuidi (way out on my spelling but it's the French guy hope you know who I mean) cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Now that PSG need to sell to make space in the squad and wage budget, Blaise Matuidi is finally open to a move from Paris but the club has priced him at a level where it will be difficult to find a suiter but they have given him permission to talk with interested parties. His agent has made it clear that he will listen to offers from England and Italy and he has spoken with Arsenal and Manchester United, but neither has made an offer. The only offer on the table is from Juventus but it is by some way short of what is being asked. PSG know this needs resolving fairly quickly as they have a replacement very much in mind so they may comromise. I am not aware of any approach to or by Everton.}

Cheers ed great response 😊.

{Ed002's Note - It would be a good buy if it were possible.}

22 Jul 2017 11:42:35
Brilliant player, but not sure where he would fit in? He seems very much a Gana Gueye type player, although I may be wrong.

Eds could you please shed some light to why the Sigurdssons transfer taking so long for a final outcome. So far all our business has been no messing. We want, we buy. Done.
As Sigurdsson's our top priority player. Surely you want him in asap, getting settled and on tour with us. Obviously this hasn't happened and I feel bad for him. His head is probably thinking "what the hell" he ditched to go on tour with Swansea last minute quite literally and now training with the U23's. If we ever do sign him. He's now 2 months behind the rest of everybody else fitting in and getting acquainted. As a supporter to me it looks like a lot of messing around. We've had Lukaku's money equal 3/ 4's of what we spent so far. So surely money isn't an issue. We've known the price for him 50 million and we know Swansea are being stubborn about it. So Everton have 2 choices pay or walk away. I just hope this isn't some tactic to have the deadline day headliner. We all know about the possible transfer so to me it would be a frustrated sigh of relief "finally" and not joys and woohoo's.

Now I've wrote this as a supporter of Everton for 23 years. So I don't know what goes on in the background. Like I said this post like every other post is just a supporters opinion on what we see.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Easy. Nobody has made an acceptable bid.}

21 Jul 2017 11:17:41
Do you know of any new player interest ed mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I think much will depend on whether or not a deal can be struck for Sigurdsson Joe. Aside from that we are back to the Giroud situation which will likely need Arsenal to be well on the trail of signing another striker - and they are now heading that way.}

21 Jul 2017 11:33:39
Haha having a melt down here ed02😁.

I understand what you say ed about the fee being agreed. And I get I can sit here and spend Moshiri's money with a click of my fingers.
It's just confusing and I guess frustrating how all Evertons other signings have come across as "Thats the asking price. There you go" But the priority target. The one we'd want in first to settle its like we're dawdling.

Don't shout at me ed hahaha. Just a passionate supporter. I've never been more excited over a new season. And you're probably right getting too excited.

Keep up the brilliant work. I love this site 🤗.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - I understand that it is frustrating but the club need to keep spending in check.}

21 Jul 2017 12:59:07
Thing is mate, who says Sigurdssons our main target, the rags might but I am sure R K knows better time will tell, at the end of the day so far our business has been great cheers, GuernseyBlue.

EFC are in quite a strong position for a deal Mowfee. Siggy has shown his interest in joining us by not wanting to go on tour. Swansea won't want to be accepting an offer in the last week of the window and have 40 mill or so to get in a replacement but no time to do it. If Siggy goes and they do not strengthen properly they could risk a relegation scrap they may not be able to get out of this time. They also won't want a player there next season who's head has been messed with over a failed transfer.

21 Jul 2017 15:53:29
we have chased the player since last summer (gylfi) i mean so you can sort of say conclusively that we are after him and the fact that he has shown a willingness to move to us confirms we have been in contact with his people. however common sense has to be applied in anything you do in life. even if it hardly shows in the prem these days. he simply isn't worth the price it's that simple . i know a lot of fans like him i do myself but the delay is confirmation that we are unwilling to meet the asking price. i would guess that we are waiting to see what gylfi can do his end to force the deal thru. when they gave him assurances on him signing recent improved terms they will have told him, they would not stand in his way if a reasonable offer came in as we probs would have done with the belgian guy if he had been 1% more likely to sign an extension. all that being said swans have stood in his way and priced him out of a move to anywhere. so the ball is in his court,

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 17:12:23
Swansea will have a price to sell and that won't be the price in the media. Until someone bids that amount they will not let him go. It's the same situation as Barkley and lukaku.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 18:36:45
I'd expect they want a bit of clarity on Barkley and other transfers (left sided defender) before upping their bid. If Ross stays then that gives us Barkley, Klaasen, Rooney and maybe Dowell who can play at number 10. Is it really worth blowing the rest of the summer budget on one player who we don't really need?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 18:59:05
What is our budget? I know there are other costs associated with signings but if we look at incomings and outgoings we haven't actually spent a massive amount so I would expect Koeman and Walsh have some other targets bubbling under the radar.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 14:19:25
Correct me if I'm wrong. But we still have best part of 50mill sitting in a safe from the stones sale. Lukaku sale 75mill +adds. We are still in profit from all signings made this summer. Plus money from Moshiri. Plus tv. Plus finishing 7th. If we wanted I'm sure we could spend a lot more money than we are letting on. Activate neymars release claus I say haha.

25 Jul 2017 15:51:49
yeh rik-efc you are wrong in the sense that we have had 2 more high profile cash injections from usmanov (naming rites on training ground) and another from a banker who is a yank? altho he could be chinese would have to check on that . but everything else you said is right.

there are a lot of varying rumours that we are looking at Sissoko on loan with a view to buy, please tell me this is a very late april fools day prank or the journalists getting it very wrong!

21 Jul 2017 10:16:45
Just ignore papers spouting crap, as if Moshiri and Koeman would approve that after they way he treated us, no way Pedro.

21 Jul 2017 10:40:06
that is definitely spurs trying it on murf, i think they feel they can get rid of him by some sort of swap deal for barkley. how can ross not see that this club he wants to move to won't even pay for him. for a month now they have quibbled about the price, for a 23 year old english player with huge potential and they value him at 15 mill wonder what they will sell him for in 3 or 4 years. spurs are unmoved by us that's the odd thing they are standing they're ground and expecting us to move while they stand firm this is because he wants to go and they no it. well spurs gylfi wants efc move but swansea are standing firm and so should we. imo they have woken up to gunners and manu interest and instead of paying a reasonable price and getting the player, they want to loan us a lemon and still pay buttons for him i hope someone else comes in for ross and takes him not just because of the price arguing from levy and co but because it does not bode well for barkley when the team he has chosen don't rate him and want him on the cheap this clearly defines the fact that spurs see him as a squad player and nothing special his career will be mismanaged be spurs. and he can't see it he really is a fool.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 12:15:09
The thing is you won't get 50million for someone with a year left on there contract who hardly played last season. I believe a deal will be done which both sides will benefit but the price Everton have him at is way to steep!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 12:27:19
From everything we have heard about how RK is not a man to be messed with I seriously doubt he will want to take a player who flopped last season and who ignored his phone calls when we were trying to buy him.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 13:03:49
Well that's my thoughts on it as well Blueray we have always looked to recruit the right sort of player both for their playing ability and their mentality!
No way does Sissoko fit that! I am just shocked at the rumour!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 16:22:22
forgot to add ryan1988 we won't get 50 mill but if spurs don't get serious we may well get giroud for him and i would be happy with that and i probs speak for the 40,000 or so other efc fans, that know barks is an inconsistent player who clearly rates himself somewhat more than his performances show.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 20:55:21
It's actually true about Sissoko. Seemingly young Dan who works behind the bar in the top balcony has left at short notice. Sissoko will be his replacement.

I hope this next rumour is total rubbish. But we are interested in a try before you buy with Tottenhams Moussa Sissoko. No thank you.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

21 Jul 2017 12:34:47
the really odd thing is spurs have put no thought into any deal for sissoko how could he ever even come to our city after the rubbish he was chattin' all last season let alone put on an everton shirt. if we swallow our pirde and take him i would be very disappointed in koeman and moshiri and it shows the folly of football a guy takes a swipe at efc every chance he can get then we take him pay him good money. nah! would consider never going the match again but then i would remember hey i love everton and probs go but wouldn't be happy about it lol i honestly didn't want us to buy him last year one of my friends is a geordie and he has nothing good to say about him showing me clips of his performances during his stay at st james' park he is without a doubt a lemon ask any geordie doesn't know when to release the ball trys to take on too much without lifting his head up really really don't want him that's for sure hope efc hierarchy feel the same way.

{Ed025's Note - i agree totally floats..
