Sam Byrne to Everton. Can anyone tell me anything about this youngster? Is he any good?

Believable2 Unbelievable8

{Ed025's Note - just google him BH, it will give you some background mate..

22 Jul 2014 08:59:50
He was released by United, so I doubt he's a world beater, but if bobby sees something in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aight. But sometimes personal opinions are great to hear instead of facts and youtube videos. But thanks for the answer Ed :)

Agree1 Disagree1

No idea what he's like but just because he's been released from United doesn't mean he isn't any good. We let a World Cup winning defender go on a free only a couple of seasons ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they also let paul pogba go on a free houghty..

22 Jul 2014 13:30:09
They both left because their respective managers where too stupid to give them the game time they deserve. Byrne just didn't really impress, I Believe. Everyone at the clubs knew Pogba would be world class and Mustafi would be good, no one seems bothered Byrne's left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point ED. Sometimes it can be just a matter of the man in charge believing in you that can make a difference to some of these young lads coming through.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats right houghty..

Not forgetting Pique!

Apparently we've lodged a formal bid to Sevilla of around 8.5 mil euros for Bacca.no hope for that price as they paid around 7 I think.

Believable7 Unbelievable13

Seville are in a bit of financial difficulties and could be forced to sell

Agree1 Disagree1

I did here that Ste but heard same last year and yet they still held out for a good fee for merge do and navas.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hope we can strike a deal for him as the lukaku deal is fading

Agree2 Disagree0

There's doubt he'll get a work permit so looks dead in the water .

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - not yet mate..

Wouldn't qualify for a work permit unfortunately

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Jul 2014 18:57:03
They only paid 1.8 I think

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - £6,16m actually RV..

Seville Chairman has said there is no bid from Everton, or anyone else for that matter. so that's the end of that one too. just more Rag-Talk-Crap

So is Drogba coming back as third choice allowing Lukaku to leave or is he being brought back to coach/inspire Lukaku to emulate him hopefully the former.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

21 Jul 2014 16:07:00
Probably the latter.

Don't know if this is true, but someone, who should know, tells it this way. We will sign Lukaku, but not till after we have played them, 30.8.14, this takes us right up to the deadline, they do not want him to play against them, I sort of get it, but should it not then go threw for some reason, we would be screwed trying to get someone else in!

Believable7 Unbelievable23

I really can't see that being true, it's a ridiculous theory. If we're paying 20 plus million for a player we will want him now not when they say. Why would they be arsed about him playing against them anyway. He would still be able to play in the next fixture

Agree1 Disagree0

Seriously! if that's what is holding this transfer up, than who do Chelsea think they are, or are they running scared of us? either way if a problem why not do an agreement that we won't play him, surely they would sooner have him playing against some of the other 4-6 top teams around them than not.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of tosh if they were that scared of him thy wouldn't sell him!

Agree1 Disagree0

It could be true. Mourinho is not daft is he - do you remember who close the games were with them last season? He will be looking for any advantage he can get out of every situation.

The PL do not allow agreements between clubs not to play players in certain games as part of a transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or this is just a perfectly constructed rumour allowing the op until September to be right or wrong!

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think they would risk him getting injured and failing a medical or do you think RM would risk our biggest signing to a deadline day deal? he would want a striker in from the start of the season end of!

Agree1 Disagree0

That would also mean he would miss him playing for us against Arsenal a much bigger threat to Chelsea than us. Load of b******s this rumour imo

Apparantley Chelsea are in discussions to sell Torres to athleticto Madrid for 13 million, if that true maybe we should stick a bid in! Lukaku won't be going anywhere if Torres is sold!

Believable2 Unbelievable18

Stick a bid in are you serious? Torres is shocking I'd rather play one of the kids. It seems to me bobby is determined to get lukaku and he's willing to wait untill the last minute again to get him. I just hope it doesn't backfire I firmly believe if we'd of had barry and lukaku from the start last season we would have made the top 4, but martinez has a vision and he knows what players fit Iin to that vision. I trust him completley.

Agree1 Disagree0

Torres, come here? Are you mad? I'd sooner wipe my backside with a broken bottle than see him in our shirt. Also, he's garbage, too old and finished. Massive no for me on this!

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm willing to bet that you wouldn't actually wipe your arse with a broken bottle! That would be stupid :-)

Heard off a mate of mine who has a lot of connections e.g players & ex players, he has said nothing certain with regards to lukaku but knows that we are putting a 20+ mill bid in for him this wk, ( have you heard anything ed)

Believable2 Unbelievable12

{Ed025's Note - it seems that we are still interested deano, but i cant see him coming mate

20 Jul 2014 16:48:49
Can any of you Ed's out there confirm or deny the rumour going round on some sites stating we are in advanced talks with Nathan Redmond and his representatives regarding a permanent move to the home of football. I believe he had the chance of coming to Goodison Park a couple of seasons ago but preferred a non ambitious move to Norfolk. Surely it wasn't for the money! (Cynical) Anyway. Is he on our radar. He would be a great acquisition in my opinion due to his pace and eye for goal. Fit in well, especially if Mirallas is off too. Please shed some light if you can guys.
Thank you.

Marky Marc the brummie Blue Nose!

Believable2 Unbelievable10

{Ed025's Note - nothing on him at the moment marky, thank god..

21 Jul 2014 08:03:07
We didn't want him, he publicy, along with leroy fer, said he wanted to join everton, we were never interested in either, so they went to norwich, the end

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think we dodged 2 bullets myself swan..

Swan's right. He publicly stated he was waiting for us to come in for him, but we didn't want to. I think we missed out. He wouldn't break the first team, but he was better than Deulofeu.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought he looked good at the end of last year and under the guidance of Martinez, he could be the perfect replacement for deulefeu for the right price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed got to disagree mate, Redmond is a very good player and RM would get the best out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its all about opinions paul, for me he is too hit and miss mate..

Better than Gerry? You mush be having a tin bath.

Are we likely to sign anyone this week now we are back from Austria ed? We seem to have a different player every hour linked to signing in the next 48 hours!

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - i would like to think so lee, but you know how late we like to leave it mate..

20 Jul 2014 12:55:12
Ed, is there any interest in Roma's Mattia Destro? Arsenal and Spurs both in talks over a possible £10M move? Surely we could afford that? Also? Netted 13 times in the Serie A last season where he was on and off the bench, so the lad knows where the net is. And he was boss on footy manager

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - not anything tangible jay..

21 Jul 2014 08:01:34
He was boss on footy manager? Sign him up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Only a bit of light hearted humor swan! I obviously don't class football mana get statistics as a realistic view on a player haha

Agree0 Disagree0

You should. They're decided by professional scouts who know a lot more than any of us.
