After watching the MOTD rerun I don't think the result is because of United being poor I feel they were scared of us and couldn't cope with our forward play and how easily our attackers found space. This was a perfect performance from the lads and they deserve plaudits for how ordinary they made United look and it shouldn't be about how poor United were, which is how the pundits see it.

That's 10 points from a possible 12 from games against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and United. It's no fluke that we have picked up these points, it's down to the way we have performed. All we need now next season is consistency by playing this way against lesser teams and winning games we should win. Onwards and upwards from next season hopefully.

Hear, hear! Yet, so many Evertonians wanted to get rid of Silva and start over again just a couple months ago, like years of poor decisions could be reversed overnight with a new manager. I reckon the same crowd were the ones pointing to Ole Gunnar Solkjaer as their model for instantaneous success. I'm not making any guarantees, but I maintain that our best chance at breaking into the top 6 (and hopefully top 4) is to see it out with Silva and Brands, who certainly have us on a positive trajectory. And, it very well might be the same for United and OGS, but they have a long project in front of themselves, not an instantaneous fix.

If Silva can get Goodison back to the fortress it used to be it could be worth 40-45 points a season. We can be a very good counter attacking team on our day so could start to rack up some nice away wins too.
Not an excuse but it seems this season we have had some shocking refereeing decisions especially against the bigger teams.
Hopefully VAR will give everyone an even playing field.
