At the beginning of the season Richarlison looked the real deal but then he and a number of other players lost form along with Silva losing consistency. Watford blamed us, personally I thought that a load of Bull, a professional Coach/ Manager/ player at this level should be able to do their job comensurate with the huge wages they draw. 35 Million seems overpriced to me.

Ed’s this Richarlison deals come abit out of nowhere?! 50mil in total with 35 upfront doesn’t sound the worst of deals seeing as he’s only 21/ 22 and still adapting to English football but experience at the same time.
Also hear close to agreeing a few for Digne from Barcelona, 14.6 mil upfront with around 5mil in add one!
If these are to come through. Can we expect so high quantity of players leaving soon or may it be some players leaving for big fees?

I would be happy to use Bolasie as part of the bargaining tool, rather than the guy go out on loan to Turkey.
Any money for Bolasie has got to be better than going to Turkey as they will not pay the going rate after 12 months.

Yeah it's looking like it's time to accept the kid isn't for us.
He will be a star somewhere that I'm sure but why keep him if he wants out?
I hope it's mischief making from the lazy press but the smoke has been pouring out for a while with this kid.
Anyway, we need performers ready now, not being distracted fighting over someone who might be good in 2 years.
We already have a club with a fantastic academy, I'm not knocking it in anyway. i'm defending myself from anyone claiming we need youth.
Yes we do, and we have it. Just this guy obviously wants 1st team football, I respect that.
Let's see if he comes back to haunt us or if he ends up in league 1.

Not just Silva Ed. Koeman, Unsie and even Fat SAM didn’t like / trust him. Surely that tells us something? The kid has ability without doubt but he only does it in patches. Not shown the consistency for me so if he goes, so be it. Just hope we get a sell on clause because he COULD be a top player.

Team comes first. His ability is clear for all to see so you’d have to assume his attitude is suspect or he’s unhappy. Either way, there are other young, talented players in the world who would want to play for us. As you rightly said Ed, up to Silva/ Brands to work it out.

No issues with the ‘odd mistake” but he has seemingly been unhappy for past 18 months or so. We’ve only seen his ability in cameos so, if he doesn’t want to be here,

My take on the Lookman situation. If he wants to go we all know there’s no point in keeping a unhappy player. If the right offer comes in and we have a suitable player lined up unfortanuley we should sell. If he wants to stay offer him a new contract and give him a run in the team.

If there’s one thing we should all have learnt, it’s that you need to see them outside USM holding up the shirt and grinning! I fully expect some of these rumours to turn into actual transfers within the week. 50 million is a lot - but it’s not surprising. No Premier League teams NEED to sell, so they can ask for whatever they want. It’s pay up, or move on. If it was 30ish with add ons, that’d be a great deal.

Gibbo - that time is gone, unfortunately. We're especially in a bind because we're known to have money to burn and we that can't offer Europe. If we want the players, we have to accept the markup. On the plus side, we're bringing in a lot more revenue than those days, so it's all about the same in the end.

Bjarkster - he went missing after we approached Silva and he then left, like quite a few of them did. I wouldn’t hold that against him. He looked quality to me and, while I think £50m is extortionate for someone with one half and half year in the prem, some of that will be a goodwill payment and if Silva is confident he can get him playing again then it could be a great buy for his. He’d bring the creativity we’ve been lacking and provide more ammunition for Tosun.

My point is I don't think he's class and I don't think he's worth it, money could be spent better in my opinion, his goals only came against Bournemouth, Swansea, West brom, West ham and errrr Everton all of which were crap last year and only 4 assists, pretty pure really when you think about it but what do I know.
