hi all its been a tough season for us all and one i will be happy to see over. too many mistakes have been made right through the club with big sam being the worst imo. we panicked in his appointment and would probably of been better off sticking with unsy for the season. there was never any chance of us getting relegated. big sam is awful and has no clue how to play anything but defensive football.

never have i seen us play worse and finding it hard to even watch us right now. for me, as long as we appoint the right manager this summer we could still have a exciting season next year. we have a very good squad and with 4/5 good signings and a good manager in place we could really push on to where we want to be.

which brings me to choice of manager; would love us to go all out for wenger. still a great coach imo and i'm sure he would love to prove his critics wrong. second choice and one i'm sure most would hate because of his liverpool connections is Rafa Benitez. two top managers who could take us forward.

interested to hear who people would like to take charge. also like to hear people's opinions on some of our young signings; lookman, vlasic, klassen, even sandro. all for me have been badly treated and deserved more chances, especially given how a lot of players have performed. klassen for me is the most disappointing and should have been given more game time, especially with sigs out now.

I would be happy with Wenger being the DOF.
He should at least be sounded out and if hos response is favourable and Brands keeps pissing us about then get him in.
He would at least attract the right kinf of player.

Whoever is the manager and DoF for next season, what is most important imho for Everton is that Farhad Moshiri is “singing from the same songbook” as Bill Kenwright and the board.
I may well be misreading the situation, but it looks like there are two factions (FM’s and BK’s) vying to set the agenda for the club - and this has led (at least in the eyes of the frustrated fans) to the club-heirarchy’s apparent indecisiveness, lack of visible leadership, and no clear official communication to the fans about the manager, DoF, and other footballing matters.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

SA wants Wilshere on a free. When he is on his game is a good player but that's about 1 in 5 match's. no convinced.

Also looks like SA is planning for next year.

We have a few players already who have 1 good game in 5. So if they can all have their 1 good game at the same time, we are going to batter someone 18-0.
I would hope Sam is planning for the summer, he is our manager. Managers get sacked at differing times of the season/ preseason bit they still carry on as normal until something changes. That's all they can do.
Him planning is no guarantee, either way whether he will or won't be managed next season.

No he's a very very good player and performs much more consistently than 1 in 5.
His injuries are the only issues anyone should have with JW.

In SA own words
" I knew I was for the chop at West ham and the fans were singing F Off SA so I started talking about next season. "
Sound familiar?

Yeah. it's all over his face. He's hit the full speed wind up button.
And in his shoes, why not? Thanks less task so may as well have a laugh at our expense. It's the only thing I can respect him for this season.

Who wouldn't be laughing when even getting fired nets you £6m. He should give it to charity if he's got any scruples. which he hasn't!

Financially speaking, he’s on a winner whatever happens, so, what is motivating him?

Let's be honest SA was a necessary evil when the board appointed him, his directive was basically to drag us away from a relegation battle, he has done that now, and should be applauded for it, but as for the future it's clear Everton fc and Big Sam are not a good fit for one another, there should have been an amicable parting of the ways in the summer. but now after the P. R. disaster that was "the survey" last week the inevitable departure of Sam is going to get messy as he will no doubt start revealing behind the scenes info in attempt to extract his revenge, and I honestly wouldn't blame him at all, that was a complete and utter shambles send the survey to fans, the club threw him under a bus, it's worth remembering that Big Sam never got Everton into the mess we are in, in fact he come in and dragged us out of what could have been an even bigger mess, at the end of the season he will have earned my thanks, he should depart with handshakes and no animosity, because we can do without more negative episodes in the media.

bluedanny82: good post, mate. SA’s comments to the media don’t endear him to the fans, but neither do the actions (or, indeed, lack of actions and lack of communication! ) by the club’s owners, board and other staff.
