A question about Europa League qualification. If Hull bears Arsenal for the Cup, would Hull get the not over the sixth place Spurs?

If my math serves me well, 3 points in the next 3 matches secures some form of qualification, with a finish of no less that 5th. Win all 3 and let Arsenal stumble.well my question is moot.

{Ed025's Note - im not sure mate, but will check it out..

Yes hull get the europa place as they win the cup. if they lose, the europa place goes to spurs if they are sitting in 6th at the end of the season and arsenal already qualify for europe which I think they are almost guarenteed, just a matter now of deciding which of us 2 are going to get cl and which will get europa.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No. Hull.}

I'm pretty sure that the winner of FA cup goes into europa cup, but if the winners have got a CL place, it is the runners up in FA cup that go into europa, NOT next league place

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - correct}

Hull are in Europe next season win or lose. We need 1 point to guarantee 6th and 3 points to guarantee 5th if Spuds and UTD win all their remaining matches. So beat or draw with Southampton and we're in Europe. Also puts pressure on the Arsenal as Newcastle are due for a win and I fancy Norwich to do them at home last match of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

If Arsenal wins the Cup, but falls to 5th behind Everton, then the Spurs would get Europa 6th place instead of Hull. Looks like the Spurs are big Gunner fans now.

At least that's my figuring.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys

6th place gets Europa League next season due to Manchester City winning the League Cup, so no what happens in the FA cup final Hull will also get Europa League next season.

Dollo

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get one more point we are guaranteed European football. It is the top 6 that get European football this season. Due to the way the league cup went, 6th place opens up. If, say for example, the final of the FA cup was Arsenal v Man City, then 7th place would have opened up, instead that 7th place now goes to hull as Arsenal have already qualified for European football.

Agree0 Disagree0

The team finishing 6th will get euro league place as city won the league cup and are in europe already

Agree0 Disagree0

6th definitely has one from the league cup already.

If Arsenal win the cup and slip to 5th, they take the cup place because that skips a qualifier (higher ranked qualification spot) and 7th in the league opens up shafting Hull. but if Arsenal slip to 5th, that means we got 4th and don't give a monkeys about Europa League.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it sunny, i hope we are setting our sites higher than him mate..

I like welbeck and think if we got him he would surprise everyone and do a really good job at Everton he only don't get in uniteds team because they have Rooney an rvp I no its all about opinions an we all have our own an mine is he would be a great signing

Works hard, has pace and power but tries too many flicks, poor touches, can't finish, has woeful control and is frustrating not to mention he isn't a goalscorer, give me bony anyday

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a feeling that utd will offer Welbeck or Hernandez + cash for Coleman

Agree0 Disagree1

I would take him not as our first choice st though would not pay more than eight mil either

Not Everton related but a while back the ed put up a poll for me because I said messie would not be as good in the pl as in Spain but we could be about to find out as man city are about to bid €250 million I hope this is TRUE just to prove me wrong or right an if he is as good in England it would play a big part in making sure that lot across the park don't win the league for the nxt ten years

And if they did spend 250 mill on him how on earth could they cover up that with financial fair play in mind. answers to that question would be sent in from abramovich and werner lol

According to ssn us, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in Griezeman. This would be a fantastic signing, if we could get him. Ed 025, do you think there would be a possibility of snapping him up?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - in a word..NO..his fee and wages will be hiked up BT, i really rate him as well, but in all honesty i cant see him coming..but i would love to be wrong mate..

Never say never Ed.stranger signings have been made when no-one expected it to happen.players stand up and take notice and think " I like how they play, I wanna be part of that".prob won't happen though lol

Martinez looking to sign Wilfried Bony before the World Cup according to most newspapers tomorrow morning. good move this, the boy is real class in front of goal & great at hold up play.c.o.y.b.

Believable15 Unbelievable8

I see his performance is excellent. But believe Swansea need minimum 20m. Honesty better than Rom.

Agree2 Disagree1

He is good but I can't see us going for him this summer

not with the cup of nations in early 2015

we can't afford to blow a load of money on a player just to loose him for a month or so

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i really rate him BOTN, even if we did lose him for a month, he would still be on my wish list mate..

Ed, I've seen him plenty this season as I go to most of the Swansea games because of where I live. Trust me Bony is a quality striker. Great in the air, strong as an ox and totally backs himself in front of goal. If him and lukaku cost the same I'd go for Bony all day long.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i can assure you ace that i dont need convincing mate, he is quality for me, almost the complete striker, and top of my wishlist..

I really like him, but he and other quality players will wait to see where we finish. I don't think we can do anything other than to draw up a CL and EL finish wish list.
