ed I have a feelin we will not sign anybody else unless we sell a player, I think rm is going to giv youth a chance and bring them in to bulk up the squad, hence the reason he's playin a few in pre season {Ed025's Note - i think we will mate..

Believable5 Unbelievable4

To be fair it's about time the youth was given a shot, Barkley's going to be awesome and if what I hear is correct Stones owned it last night.

Agree3 Disagree0

If we sell wooly head we only get 5 mill anyway {Ed025's Note - why?..

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope we make at least one stand out signing, cm or striker (if jelly leaves). We are short of a creative cm so hoping it is. Before DM left BK said he had some money to spend, RM must of got it plus a little extra

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought we might have gone and done most business already and can only see us holding out a while in order to see who goes where. Its been a pretty quiet window so far and I expect any transfers that united complete will maybe kick start the market. only my opinion. I agree with a few previous posts in the fact that losing Fellaini wouldn't be too bad. He seemed to go quiet second half of the season and I think other teams are a lot more wise to him. I would say cash in now! Shame we didn't go out and get Wilfred Bony, he looked pretty good last night.

Everton to sign 2 out of the 3 if felli leaves:
Mccarthy
Jorginho
Marrone

Believable6 Unbelievable6

I'd rather say that Everton may sign one of them and Fellaini is staying.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would take any one of those if fellaini stays would want to add some gauranteed quality if fellaini left though

For the post about felliani's face when stones scored. he was probably pissed cus he didn't take a peno!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

It's probably because his release clause has allegedly expired without anyone bidding for him.

Apparently Gary Medel from Sevilla 6mill, heard of him Ed? Any good mate?

Tom {Ed025's Note - very good tom, a midfield enforcer, but does have a suspect temper..

Ed025 have you seen him on youtube? akin to Suarez. not suspect temperament. dodgy temperament. Joey Barton in another name.

There is a picture on EFC website, showing Osman and Pienaar laughing and joking with Stones after his penalty and all the other lads are smiling, except for Fellaini, have al ook at his face, doesn't look like he's going to be with us long!

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Are you Judy James? {Ed025's Note - or mystic meg?.. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

That's riduculous how people read into stuff as trivial as facial expressions on a photo, a photograph only captures a split second of action and evidently this photo caught the split second when Fellaini had a glum look on his face. I really wouldn't read into it mate. (P. S. sorry I've been away for a while, had some issues to deal with. Glad to be back though!)

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - glad to see you back mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

The Flintstone ice cool penalty kick made him want to have a pee at that moment. He look better after went to restroom.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he didn't get the joke

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't take too much into that photo he is clearly having a daydream!

Agree0 Disagree0

Blueboys1979 I agree, I thought it after watching the first couple of minutes of the game. He was not focused on the game whatsoever and just seemed uninterested. I reckon he's off soon. I will be disappointed if he goes but it's not the end of the world, it's only one player who will be replaced.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is a picture of me at my sons birth, the happiest day of my life where I look moody, it is just the timing of the photo. 3 years on I'm still his dad and still married to his mum despite various offers ;)

Svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Where do we find the photo? I looked, on site but did not see it

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the picture of Felli or Svenny on his son's birth you want to see

according to reports in italy EFC have made a bid of 9 million euro for verona player jorginho

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Not so smart if we have 2 top class rising star but only 1 can be first11. Ross Barkley is another one. So get the good tutor for Ross isn't it better?

Watched the game in early hours. I thought our fitness was good. The first 20 mins both teams just cancelled each other out. then I thought we hsd the better of the next 25 mins. lots of positives for me. stones was immense and did not look out of place at all. if we can keep fellaini who wasnt great last night and baines who didn't stop running and if we can add one or two more we would have a great chance of top 4/5. as others have mentioned we did not sit off them in last 20 which moyes woukd of done. and we matched them. if this fixture was played a couple of seasons ago we would probably get battered. It shows we are on the right track and their is now good competition for places which is what we needed. exciting times ahead. Anyone know when were playing real madrid. licking my lips at that one.

Sunday Morning 3:30 BST, but we could be playing LA Galaxy

Agree0 Disagree0

Saturday, KO time TBC

Agree0 Disagree0

Do u think we, d be weakened if Felliani left and mc carthy was brought in,. I think Mirallas and Barkley plus r full backs would benefit more with mc carthy. in felli defence gives us goals. mc carthy and another player with Felliani leaving would do me

Agree0 Disagree2

Real Madrid play LA Galaxy later today, we then play the winner. not 100% sure when though

Agree0 Disagree0

Real game is on Saturday night mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Our midfield went missing in the last 15 mins and we let the opposition back in to the game, same as last season. That would've been two dropped points if it were a league game. We have to learn to finish games of when we have a lead. Piennar missed a sitter just before they scored and had he put that away it would've been game over. Felli was poor, Vic very poor and Ossie when he came on looked lost. Apart from Stones who looked very comfortable on the ball it was Moyes team in the first half. We more than matched the Italian champs, but yet again we let the opposition come back when really we fully deserved to win in 90 mins. {Ed025's Note - theres no pleasing some people!..

Any discussion between Everton and Juve last night? Perfect opportunity to try and get a few bargains or loans {Ed025's Note - i would be guessing, but there seems to be an ideal opportunity there mate..

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Ed did jelavic play last night and if so how did he get on I really hope everton keep him it would be a massive loss to them if he was to go. he needs to be played in his best position and that is in the box not away out wide where he is no use. and also where do you stand on Naismith for me he has not had a chance to prove himself yet his career has been hampered with so many injuries he just needs a run of games and I am sure he could prove to be a valuable asset {Ed025's Note - he did not start mate, on naisy, he could still be a valuable squad member, as i dont think we have seen the best of him yet..

Agree0 Disagree0

There seems to be top talent in that team that is unlikely to get sufficient game time - i'd take that Isla all day

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelly was on bench last night, never came on which I was a little surprised about. Great game though, no way was it a friendly, it was really intense and a good performance from the lads. Stones was my highlight, he looked at home and was unlucky with his header hitting the bar and his pen was insane!.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a good chance of getting in the top 5 if we play like we have in pre season, keeping fellaini and baines, adding 1 or Two more players

Believable9 Unbelievable0

I think we will be harder to beat this season mate, due to the fact our possession of the ball will be a lot higher. If the lads at the back can keep their form we will lose very few games. However, in regards to the top 5, IMO, we have looked good at keeping the ball but haven’t looked penetrating enough in the final 3rd, a bit like the reds last year. They played teams off the park but didn’t convert the possession into goals. I’ve noticed a couple of times when we are high up the pitch, we have gone backwards when we have not necessarily needed to. Could go either way. Would like to see a top class forward added, who isn’t afraid to have a strike when needed. -

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't read too much in to preseason games! Don't get me wrong done well but it all matters in a couple wks when the prem starts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reckon as long as we don't lose our key players (we all know who they are) and add a fearless AMC/Striker, who like you say aren't afraid to have a go and penetrate we could be a force who are not just "hard to beat", as we already are, but more so hard to escape with a point. last season we just missed the penetration. this year could be our year. cheeky £10 E/W on us to win the league. too much?

Hi Toffees
Blackburn fan here - I did post a few days ago but wasn't displayed; (
Just an update on the Jordan Rhodes deal:
Deal very close with the fee rumoured to be £9m with John Stones and George Green coming to Ewood on season long loan
I have never heard of George Green, is he any good? {Ed025's Note - they are both great young talents mate..

Believable4 Unbelievable14

I think we might keep stones but green is meant to be excellent and could do with a loan

Agree0 Disagree0

No way - wishful thinking by Rovers if they think they'll that money and those players on loan.
Happy-Camper

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want Rhodes, no way near good enough for the level we are aiming for. Good enough for the prem but not us.

The Montenegro lad for Juve is the best cut price striker I can think of at the moment, seein as though Negrado and Soldados prices sky rocketed recently. The lad from Saint-Etienne as well (spelling) is young and talented.

Agree1 Disagree0

I personally know a scout for Blackburn Rovers and speak frequently regards Rhodes. He states that Rhodes is a couple of years away from Prem football. Currently he doesn’t do anything off the ball and suggested he also has a poor work rate although does have an eye for the goal. He further suggested he needs a few more years outside the prem to improve his game. Great potential though, but £9M to play reserve team football. I don’t think so and can’t see it happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes not good enough for us but kone is? Young and prolific.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aubayang (spelling) has gone to Dortmund if that's who you mean?

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is John Stones going out on loan. He will get games for us this season if last nights performance was anything to go by.

Manny Fernandez for me. Big strong fast skilful. Took the mick with arsenal scored a great goal against utd. I believe it was moyes differing that lost the deal. He was at goodidon on the Saturday to sign and for se reason we let him get on plane and leave.

People have short memories. While we saw some great things from MF 2 great goals, on the whole he was awful in games, totally lost. Would like to think he's improved but I think he showed the Prem was not for him.

Sure we was going to sign sissoko about 6 seasons back. then the rs stepped in and snatched him. is that right?

Believable12 Unbelievable5

We nearly signed him, then Benitez jumped in the night before we bought and got him from right under our noses. He damaged his eye badly in on the field injury and was not th same for the RS. Dunno what he is like now. When he was good the RS raved over him. Then he went bad and was sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2013 09:49:18
We would have lost that game if moyes was still in charge!

Believable17 Unbelievable3

The only reason we our in the final is because of the excellent service given by moyes I think was the right time for both parties for the move to man u. He left a great team for rm to takeover I wish him all the best except for when we play them and I'm loving what rm is doing at the moment

Momo sissoko has been contacted by everton officials. Thoughts?

Believable12 Unbelievable10

PLEASE. GOD. NO!

Agree2 Disagree2

Good player.

Agree4 Disagree1

Awful player

Agree1 Disagree4

What a sighning he would be as replacement for fellini

Agree0 Disagree4

We must of been interested in nearly every midfielder going last few weeks! What does that indicate. Not keen in this guy thou. Would rather diAme.

Agree1 Disagree1

Yet again some1 posts. great signing as a replacement for fellaini. Why do we feel the need to only sign replacements and not a good player to challenge for 1st team to keep others on their toes. so as it is with some posters on here, if we are interested in a cb does that mean jags is going. we are linked with players to strengthen squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you need to look at big picture fellaini is going accept it and we are looking to get his replacement in before he goes. Good managment.

Agree0 Disagree0

If EFC wasn't good enough for him all them years ago when he chose the rs, he ain't good enough for EFC now. clumsy and crap. no thanks!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its us knocking on his door not the other way round, let's back rm and bk they know what they are doing

We have made a loan offer for juve cm Marrone, heard anything ed? Snowy {Ed025's Note - only that they want to sell, rather than loan snowy, he would cost around £9m..

Believable2 Unbelievable7

It's snowy. Do they really want £9m for him? I've never heard of him is he any good? {Ed025's Note - very good mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

After that miss last night they can keep him.

Passed release clause deadline. Seem no offer from anyone. Felli will sign new contract soon. RM. has 17m. looking forward to see new coming. Guess Alderweireld and good AMC. Heitinga is only one on his way back to end his career at hometown.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Hope you're right mate, will be a happy man if Baines and Fellaini stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

And have you seen felli's contract to know for a fact the release clause ended at midnight july 31st?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't be too confident about baines or Fellaini staying! If we lost one I would rather it be Fellaini thou
