ROBERT ELSTONE said a couple of days ago that goodison cant be redeveloped and they need a new ground and he thinks there are a few sites available so its all about money ..if rumours are true and new owners are americans then I think ground share will be on again esp if americans on both sides get there heads together . I for one would be happy with a ground share as long as both clubs keep there Id..
Whats the rumour about Americans, never heard that one, whats your source?
Just a general rumor that keeps cropping up, going back a few months, apparentley there were quite a few yanks at the fulham f a cup game and bill had a very big smile on his face {Ed025's Note - it was wind!..
Groundshare with that lot,,,,,,no way.... {Ed025's Note - to be honest, it may be the only way to go forward!...it means the cost would be halved, thus leaving us a bigger budget for players, of course without investment its all just pie in the sky anyway!!
A ground share will never happen even with investment. There are just to many people against it. I know it makes sence but this is football and there are to many emotions involved. Elstone said that there were plenty of sites available, where are these sites? The best site that we ever had was Kings Dock and Im afraid BK blew it when he let that one slip. We would have been a part of a world Heritage site now with passenger ships from all over the world sailing past. Oh well never mind.
As the above post says the Kings Dock site would of been amazing but the board f***ed that one up. A ground share would be the sensible and most cost effective option but i just think a hell of a lot of people are against the idea especially the supporters based in the city

True supporters should understand that niether club can afford to build there own even together they need massive support from other sponsors .get real both sets of fans keep ur id and lets build the greatest stadium in europe ..views welcolme cos if i was wrong then they would have already built individual stadiums .no get real.... support the football quarter .and work together its the only way ..start respecting each other ...
I agree with the above post, you've got to be realistic and if we ever want to be able to afford the kind of team that can match it with then best then sacrifices might need to be made...a necessary evil!
also can anyone explain how the board screwed up the kings dock bid?
If we get Yank investment a groundshare will defo happen !
Seen as tho anfield used to be our anyway, why not build a massive 2 teamer and LET Liverpool use it as well, like we did the first
Ok reds fan here, let me be honest, i am totally against the idea of a shared stadium, however IF it did ever happen i would have to trust in the owners and get on with it. This brings me to my main question, IF it did happen what capacity do you think EFC could regularly fill?...just after a honest answer.
Like Chelsea F.C....Everton F.C. support would increase with investment/big name signings etc... the impact of a new stadium i.e. 21st century standards ... would be considerable also...in conclusion under these conditions 60 thousand.
The situation as we see it now, is one of despair financially so selling the club or attracting significant investment is crucial.
Reds didn't even sell there ticks for the derby !
