i've heard from my mate's dad yesterday (who is good mate's with Alan Stubbs) that after Stubbs, Big Dunc and Rooney the match, they all went into the lockeroom and congratulated the Blues' on their victory, Moyes then asked Rooney, the question that might be in people's heads, will you ever return to play for us. And apparently he said YES! with a smile on his face, but also metnioned that if it were to come true, for first he'd see out the rest of his contract at United, and wait until Everton had the financial backing of a new chairman.
Whether this is true or not I don't know, like i said i got told from my mate.

Sorry mate its not true roony left the groun 10 minutes before the end....though i do think wayne will come back when hes in his thirty...........yours tristen

Agree0 Disagree1

Cheers tristen, like i said i don't know, and reckon it will happen anytime soon.....if it does happen

Agree1 Disagree1

As he was seen leaving i wont believe it but... he is still a massive toffee (supporter, not an insult) he posted a pic of his son in a full top to bottom everton kit last year and he came to the game, might have been to watch his gibon mate but he came, i do think he might end his contract with us, id like that, any player who loves the us is welcome

Who says we want him back?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney is a class act i know he left us when he did, but i would have him back tomorrow. Lets not forget that it is he who has kept Man Utd's title dream alive this season and also been the reason why they have beeen successful over the years he has been there. Not fogetting that his son is being brought up an evertonian. COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do tristen the third yes i was upset when he left we all were hes on 200 grand a week and won a load of medals its sad to say this but we could not match the kids ambition so when waynes ready he will come home and i for one will welcome him with open arms...............yours tristen

Agree1 Disagree1

He was a teenage boy who i would not believe at the time of his transfer didnt want to leave everton, not saying he would still be here now but back in 2004 the boy didnt want out.it was pushed by his father, agent, evertons bank manager and those greedy self righteous arrogant lot up at old trafford.think about it.it broke all our hearts i know but accusing wayne of walking away i reckon is wrong.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we had the dough Rooney would come back tomorrow and I would welcome him with open arms. Football fans are fickle fxckers and I am no different. I was calling Peanut a greedy little twxt a few months ago but now I would happilly kiss his arse. Rooney will end his career with the blues. Oh and nearly forgot, Wembley here we come!!!COYFB!!! (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair, the cameras caught Rooney , leaving his seat, whats to say he didnt go down to the room ? I agree, Id welcome him back too...

Agree1 Disagree0

I have heard a rumour about Rooney as well, couple posted on forum sites, that Rooney might run down his contract, which expires in 2015, and join us. Still would be 29, personally, I dont see it, but one can hope.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rooney and stubbs left with 10 mins to go

A mate of mine was telling me yesterday he heard that moyes and round were at the ajax game the other day scouting the 23 year old striker Miralem Sulejmani, I dont know much about him apart from he's been on fire this season, hes Serbian and has scored 11 in 19 this season. dont ask me how my mate knows this because i don't know, it could be BS im just passing it on

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Coz they where shown there before the match started an was broadcasted to a few million people. how you mate "heard" and never actually saw is the question I'd be asking him??

DUH

Agree0 Disagree0

Sulejmani is a quick, tricky, strong winger that can play on both wings. He has a good cross and his finishing is sublime, although we definately will not be able to buy him

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who wrote the 1st comment: if his mate didn't watch the game then he wouldn't of seen him would he? you tool!

Agree0 Disagree0

Too bad he'd cost 15mil+

Agree1 Disagree1

You see if moyes and round were at the game though scouting ajax players than there must be some major money coming in somewhere!

the american that attended the game last month i am informed was bernard mullins he has been linked with a buyout in the past and rumoured to be trying to link up with sir terry leahey and form a consurtium there both lifelong evertonions its possible hes was just there as a fan or could there be more to it

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Be careful what you say on here as George and gazman only want cold hard facts they don't understand what rumours means mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Woah, woah slow down chucky. i am aware this is a RUMOUR site. just can't see the point in posting ridiculous " made up " stories.. now that is a FACT. behave..

GAZMAN

Agree1 Disagree1

Hey Ed can we start a new site called Everton bitching site for these big girls to go on {Ed025's Note - liverpool already have that page mate..

Agree0 Disagree1

If you google bernard mullins terry leahay it comes to this story its six months old its possible there still sniffing around but am not sure if terry has mega cash mullins is a big hitter in the states sounds like another long shot so dont get your hopes up

Agree1 Disagree0

Its on a site about football manager! Its not real there just discussing stories on the game the next headline says:Sir Alex announes shock retirement
So this rumour is a load of horsecrap

Agree1 Disagree1

Check out the liverpool echo 31st march 2011 the same story about mullins wanting to get a consortium together

Agree1 Disagree0

Are things getting that bad we are recycling takeover rumours now from last year. By the time we get to September we will be talking about the Jain Group again.

I was listening to BBC radio on Thursday when they were talking about Rangers going into administration. Amongst all the anger and frustration there was, though, some optimism as appartently there are up to seven different parties interested in buying the club. On the same programme, they had a partner from the law firm, Pinsent Masons (offices in UK & Asia) and this guy was saying that there is great interest at the moment amongst his clients for buying english football clubs - he claimed to have eight clients actively looking. So, the big question is, are any of them talking to Everton?

On this site a few months ago, I posted that I had been told, from a very good source, that both Randy Lerner and the Abu Dhabi people spoke with Everton before buying Aston Villa and Man City respectively, but they were put off by the asking price!

It seems there are buyers out there if Bill and Co really are prepared to sell at a reasonable price.

Whats the chanc of pranjic joining in the summer?

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Very high, he is intent on joining us and is out of contract. He has already claimed that the contract was already all sorted (so we can afford his wages) and Moyes loves everything in him...
1) Versatility
2) Passion to join club
3) Cheap wages!
