Listen to yourselves who wants Arry's cast off players am i the only person who can see defoe is not actually that good give me beckford anyday (believe me thats saying something) not really a rumour i know but all the same heard about darron gibson on loan and would give good backup to our midfield

Believable5 Unbelievable9

I'd take Defoe in a heartbeat. You just can't argue with his record. give him a regular game and he will score ALOT of goals. he's our kind of player and I have to wonder who you have been watching for all these years, it can't have been the same Defoe as I've been watching

Agree0 Disagree0

You're avin a giraffe mate, defoe is head and shoulders better over beckford, but we have no dosh so becks it is and lets get behind him, he will get better

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like the yak i think beckfords lazy and can be too easy for defenders to mark. needs to drop a bit deeper and play off our midfield {Ed025's Note - i dont blame becks...the service to him was very poor..that, added to davids negative tactics, and low morale..it made for a very poor performance..

Wish we'd just swap Rodwell for Defoe or Sturridge, Defoe has just scored in the Europa League, showing he's still got it. I do rate Rodwell but he wouldn't be as missed as the likes of Baines, Jags or Felli.

GP

Believable11 Unbelievable10

Shut up and get real, why would defoe come to everton, no money to buy or pay wages, and no european football, it winds me up when people say oh we should get him, or him, when in reality those players would never come to us anyway {Ed025's Note - we can all dream mate....

Agree0 Disagree0

He wants first team football, umadbro?

GP

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Moyes would make the swap , but I think no clubs are not to keen on Rodwell due to his poor form of last year. Any clubs interested in Rodwell will wait to see if he performs with us this season. If he has a good first half to the season could make a move in Jan but I am pretty sure he wont move till at least then.

It's taken Kenwright all Summer long to come out and confirm what all the fans know. He's a bottler and a disgrace. There HAS to be a protest to get rid. Yes I know things have improved since the days under Johnson but if you have no money of your own, how can you run a top football club on 'borrowed money'? It's an absolute joke. DM is a total saint and must really love our club to stay in these circumstances. Lets keep giving DM and the players our unreserved love and support with a firm message to BK and the board that this mess won't be tolerated.

Believable15 Unbelievable4

People who say BK out are clueless and need to understand how football clubs are run. BK can't just get out without finding an owner to take us over. The club just doesn't create enough revenue to meet its outgoings yet alone generate revenue for new players. Get off Bill's back, be more realistic and start supportign DM and the boys. They need it {Ed025's Note - its not a case of supporting moyes and the team!..its a case of showing our displeasure, for the millstone that is called kenwright, hanging round our neck!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Get off his back you kidding this the fool who nearly sold us to a manc living in a f***ing bedsit. Then says he the best person to sell the club f***ing joker

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree its took all summer for the clown to find his voice .Now the first home game is upon us he is trying to diffuse a volatile reception for him and his f*****g cronies. To late billy boy but i think your in for a uncomfortable afternoon wether we win, lose or draw.God help you if its either than the first one or the s**t will really hit the fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Idiots.

See Leeds and Portsmouth as evidence for why Kenwright is slightly cautious about who he leaves the club to.

Most teams sell to buy, I'd rather we didn't sell anyone. As such I accept the consequence of such actions.

Nothing's going near any fan with BK, we're stable. Man Utd are having to float themselves in Asian stockmarkets...we're hardly there yet now are we?

As I say. Idiots. {Ed025's Note - you need a reality check my friend...you must be happy that the club is stagnating, in football today, if you dont invest, and move forward,, you will be left behind!..i dont want to see everton in mid table obscurity...its people like you YES YOU!..who make it so easy for the red s***e to label us a small club..get a grip..

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't disagree with the fact we need investment, nor does BK to my knowledge nor can any other person who claims to have an interest in football.

I'm annoyed we didn't go investing in players like Darren Bent and Shane Long this season because we could have done and should have done.

As for team across the park, I could not give two hoots what they think. They can call us small club all they like, I'm an Everton fan and proud to be one as well. I don't think I'd have as much pride if we just bought success. That's not the school of science way.

Yes we need to move forward but I'd rather we stayed where we were than do a Leeds. {Ed025's Note - buying success??...chance would be a fine thing!...im not talking big money...£5-10 mill...peanuts in todays market, we were outbid by leeds for loneghan....£150,000..for gods sake..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh Let's get Kenwright out and get the guys who bought Birmingham or portsmouth or even Gillette & Hicks look what a good job they all did. Get real nobody has left and that is more important at the moment {Ed025's Note - then lets keep the same players, for the next ten years, if thats the important thing!!......grow a set lad..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I do agree with you we need investment to move forward. But I think your quote about Leeds out bidding us is wrong he chose Leeds for first team football because he knew he would be 2nd or even 3rd choice with us. It was said in many quaters that we matched Leeds offer but he picked Leeds to be 1st choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im behind kenwright all the way if we havnt got it dont spend it like some1 has already said lets not go down the road of leeds and portsmouth. i would love are club to be spending millions but we just cant do it at the moment the most important thing for me is to keep are players an hopefully we can get some investment in and as for the red s**te let them think what they want they wernt far from going into administration last year and have and there debt was a hell of a lot more than ours {Ed024's Note - they still have £300m of debt and borrowing, one more poor non euro qualifying season and they are in bother, massive wage bill reduced TV money=red shite in championship????

Agree0 Disagree0

Can people stop supporting BK for his sensible financial running of the club, you guys know nothing about accounts or finance clearly. Everton have zero assets now, nothing, we dont own our players, we dont own our ground, we dont own our training pitch for fsake. He has mortagegd the lot, the banks own it all and we pay them per month for the continued use of the facilities. They can tell us to sell Jags, Felli anyone at the drop of a hat if they want their loans repaid quicker. BK has no control of the club, Moyes has no control, only the banks. This is the same situation as Leeds and Portsmouth the only difference is we are not relegated so the banks are giving us the benefit of the doubt due to revenue made by being in the PL. Wake smell the coffee we have been in this situation for years and the reason nobody will buy us is because BK wants a return on his investment as well as the banks demanding the debt be repaid in full through any change of ownership, basically we are looking for a buyer who would need to cough up 150mill before he could even start investing in the team at a club that runs on about a 5mill loss per year, only an Evertonian with endless cash would see this as a great opportunity. Dark days im afraid, the big fear is relegation as with relegation comes administration. BK mocks the Indian owners of Blackburn but Blackburn would not go under if they got relegated because the owners own the club, not the banks unlike our situation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok get him out but you best have the new owners ready.we do have assets even if the banks (a 3rd party ) own the players oh no thats against the rules so there our assets so while there worth something the banks wont put pressure on us .why oh why do you talk of relegation i think we will be up there and i fancy both cups .there may not be a buyer out there for us yet but am sure thee will be.the only thing am not happy about is the statement made about having no money no need to make it public

Agree0 Disagree0

OK, so maybe most people aren't finance professionals. The reason that most people are supporting BK and his management team is simply because they are doing a great job. The stadium is NOT mortgaged, the management team DO have control of the club. The banks do NOT have control of the club, and cannot stipulate who and what is offered to the market. As an obvious fellow financial professional yourself (???), you know that the only way that they could demand any assets are disposed of is by appointing administrators or liquidators. Even on here there has not been the level of ignorance shown that implies we are about to be put into either administration or liquidation.

The real complaint seem to have is that BK does not have the personal finance to bank roll a football club to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds. Can you not remember before BK came along that relagation was a real threat rather than challenging for Europe? Can you not remember the quality of football played? Or the quality of player that pulled on the shirt?

Get real, no club has the right to spend money they simply do not have. To spend we have to generate funds, it is that simple.

Ed, to use your words, grow some and support the club, rather than follow the crowd and jeering.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please will you get off BKs case, he saved us from oblivion and is now trying his best to sell to someone who is gonna take us forward
we cant buy cos we are skint, look what happened to leeds and portsmouth {Ed025's Note - out of the frying pan....and all that..

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope dm picks that team griffo

Agree0 Disagree0

Does Cahill not play for us any more?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree there mate. and as for cahill i think you have got it spot on if he isnt played behind the striker he is less effective in centre mid so ill give that a thumbs up

Agree0 Disagree0

I was the guy who posted this rumour,

everton have made a bid for onuoha probaly on loan but other clubs chasing him also fergie has offered moyes macheda or biram douf on loan. also moyes has one last signing in his pocket dont no who tho
IMWT

Believable18 Unbelievable9

One last signing what have you been sniffing? we aint made any and the main news today says NO we wont be making any unless someone goes....

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather have macheda than diouf {Ed024's Note - YEP

Agree0 Disagree0

We could not afford machedas wages even if it was a loan deal lets face it were skint kenwright has said there are going to be no new faces at everton so the only way to get new players in is sell to buy option {Ed025's Note - but besides our dead wood...who would you sell?..

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Aug 2011 13:53:48
Ok we have no money and were pretty much screwed till someone invests or buys Thats a fact and we as fans can do nothing about it So let the guys behind the scenes sort that mess out while the rest of us support the lads Europe is a must for us Not only for the extra money it brings but also to make us more attrctive to any future investors/buyers not to mention the way the players and fans would feel to be playing in europe again Last season we were all optimistic even fergie said were be up there but a poor start ruined our chances, now whats really changed? The money situation aside We have the same team that everybody was sure would do well ok peanut has gone but we got barkley and vellious instead both look good Coleman has improved and will get better (when hes back) same with gueye Beckford (if we dont sell him) had a good first season for us and will have a better second The lads know where they went wrong last season and im sure they will do all they can to put it right We just gotta do all we can to cheer them on Coyb

Believable21 Unbelievable2

Good post feller, Coyb, IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

In football, if you stand still it means that you are falling. Whilst we are remaining at the same level, the clubs beneath us are gradually catching up to us, and the teams ahead of us are getting further ahead.

Something needs to be done, that interview really was shocking and depressing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said, get fed up with everyone moaning on here, get behind your team. {Ed024's Note -

Its a grand old team to play for
Its a grand old team to support
And if you know your history
Its enough to make your heart go-ooooooo
We dont care what the red shite say
What the heck do we care
Cause we only know that there gonna be a show when the everton boys are there.

COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea, as fans theres nowt we can do unless we're loaded, so lets do what fans do and get behind the boys, no stupid chants and moaning at the game please that don't solve anything just might drive moyes away and that would be a catastrophe of meg proportions financially were in the crap but we have a talented squad, small but talented and alot of the teams around us who are making signings are players who no better than what we have already
stop panicking things could be alot worse, you could be a kopite

nedum onouha's agent confirms a bid from three teams including everton

Believable18 Unbelievable8

Its now been confirmed these rumours a false

Agree0 Disagree0

For gods sake we have NO DOSH straight from horses mouth, we cannot bid for anyone {Ed025's Note - its time for the horse...to be put out to pasture..

Everton to sell Jags to Arsenal 16 million and Yakubu to Leicester 3.5 million Yobo 2 million to Blackburn then buy Nedum Onuoha and Nicky Maynard , still looking for a winger probably on loan with option to buy , no chance of Bently or Bellamy Moyes does not want players that will rock the boat.

Believable10 Unbelievable22

That is a step in the wrong direction

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get serious money in then we should get defoe and krancjar

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way Moyes will sell Jags unless he is gauranteed to have enough money for a suitable replacement (there isnt really a suitable replacement, Cahill at a push) and for a striker and a winger. This would need to be close to 40 million and therefore it wont happen. Jags is on a long term contract ands selling him to raise funds for players makes no sense as all of the money we get for him would have to be put in to finding his replacement. The only player surplace to requirements other than Yak and Yobo is Rodwell. If anyone bid 10 - 15 for him he would be sold but nobody has, and nobody will. Hopefully if we sell the Yak and Yobo we can get one or two in on loan we their sales would only cover the wages of players so we wont actually sign anyone end of, get over it, lets just get on with supporting what we have, a bloody good team.
IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

Aint happened all summer so we off load two we cant off load and one we dont want to loose so this gimp can play fantasy football manager via forums like this.....ooh my

Agree0 Disagree0

16 million? . Hes worth 25mil +

Agree0 Disagree0

No its not gonna happen, IMWT is spot on, why would we sell jags then spend nearly all the money replacing him, makes no sense at all
Wella

Agree0 Disagree0

Love this to be true but kenwright has said no ones comin to everton unless we sell to buy so these rumours that go round are just a load of s...e
