Rumour contol latest, chelsea ready to offer 26 mill for stones, is that enough, thoughts blues,

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - its a decent offer mogs, but we can build a team around this guy mate..

17 Jul 2015 23:22:01
Money talks in this game but i'm hoping he won't do a Sterling, totally different character with a level head on his shoulders. He will stay imo.

40m no less even then I would keep him very promising youngters right now to build a great team around in the near future despite last season i'm excited for the coming seasons some great talent right now

Nowhere near enough.

What do yeah mean is that enough, sick of people throwing it out there that we should consider selling our best players, when Kenwright has millions in his sky,

Agree0 Disagree3

18 Jul 2015 08:15:34
The offer should beat the Bale deal just as a sign of respect

Still turn it down though. We need to show we have a desire to build a great team
And Stones can be one of our starting centre backs for the next 15 years!

Luke Shaws fee is the starting point for gauging any opening offer for Stones, but no matter what ridiculous and derisory offers come in for him there is no way what so ever we should even contemplate selling him. The kid has got the potential to become one of this countries best ever centre backs,a future England captain, and more importantly future captain of Everton. Right now for his development his time is better off being served with us here. Obviously if the club carry on like now with the lack of ambition,no new investment,owners happy to sit comfortably plodding along without a challenge or a trophy, players with the ambition and talent of Stones will leave.

Most defianetly luke shaw is the starting point! Then add another 10mill

could you imagine it, we sell one of the world top young defenders for buttons, than proceed to spend a large chunk of it, on that no hoper evens . I know word has it that bill is unwell, but he would have had to lose his marbles to even consider such a deal.
Ok everyone has their price, but unless someone is talking £49m + we should tell them to go . themselves, and no evens, at any price.

{Ed025's Note - evans forbid we get johnny mate..

lol nice one ed

Ed is it possible we would sell stones and would he be interested in leaving for Chelsea at this moment in time, thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - I doubt Chelsea would be bidding without having checked he would be willing to join them if they can agree a fee to be honest. It is very rare clubs make major moves without doing that before hand. The question is more about whether Chelsea would be willing to pay enough to make Everton sell, that I have no idea about. I do know Everton will not sell him cheap, they do not want to sell.}

17 Jul 2015 14:58:19
Ed do you think if stupid money is offered I say stupid because he is worth every penny but for instance 40mil would he go?? I feel we would have no choice than to sell.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - if the money is big enough the club would sell, but it would have to be an offer they felt they couldn't turn down.}

17 Jul 2015 15:00:21
Rememher Utd signing Ferdinand for 30 mill sayin he was a future England captain well they r sayin the same about Stones think it's a insult to offer 20 mill what happened to inflation the offer should of been at least 50 mill considering what Liverpool got 4 Nancy Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 15:47:51
Really gutted about this one! Chelsea ain't going to give up! And why would they, the guy is as people say going to captain England and has everything to be the best centre half in Europe. Mourinho ain't no mug, and that's why he's in for him. Reckon no less than £35m and try to get him back for 12 month loan deal

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 17:30:32
Ed, does that mean stones would want to join Chelsea then? This is one player we can't afford to lose no matter what

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - he would be open to a move, but he is not pushing for one, at the moment anyway.}

17 Jul 2015 20:36:46
Alls I have to say on this matter is they sold David 'nutmeg'Luiz for £50m so they no the going rate and Stones is a much better defender than Luiz already. Stones stats from last season for tackles won and blocks were better than both Terry and Cahill.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 22:45:54
Not that I want to lose Stones but when values are thrown about, Sterling £49m and he wanted to move, David Luis was £50m I believe and he wanted to move and was and is no way near as good as Stones so it would have to be well in excess of that to tempt me if I was in charge! But then it would only be a temptation that I would resist ☺️

It's being reported by the barca president that arda turan would be available for short term loan to a club not in champions league ed do u know if we r interested in taking him on loan hope so would he would be a good addition considering how tough r start to the season is

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Don't forget the Chelsea No.6 shirt.that's the deal clincher apparently :-)

Chelski bid 20m for stones absolute p take

Believable1 Unbelievable0

17 Jul 2015 11:30:36
Whatever bids come in this summer for Stones, we must understand that it will be much small compared to anything we get if we keep him for longer.

We must not sell this kid. He will be the best defender in Europe

And if 30 million can get you Luke Shaw then it's going to take an astronomical amount to take him from us.

Utd fan here,

I hope Everton manage to keep Stones. He has the potential to become a top CB. I've watched him a few times last season, great on the ball reads the game well. While he makes a few mistakes its expected at his age. A move to Chelsea would be to soon, and would perhaps hinder his progress. That said if Chelsea come back and offer you a lot more money it maybe worth while selling him. Although Everton generally don't put the money back into the club.

Also I hope you buy Evans off us ;)

17 Jul 2015 11:39:25
Well said Dixie stonsey won't be sold he is not the type of lad to demand transfer plus he is on a long contract and is first choice centre back as well which he wouldn't be at chelski what u think ed

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - the club do not wish to sell him.}

17 Jul 2015 11:51:23
Stones is on a different planet to Luke Shaw and a bid of 20m should be laughed at, we cannot sell him.

Agree3 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 13:40:08
I would take 50 mil for stones. The only problem is it wil go straight in kenrights ass pocket.

Agree2 Disagree1

17 Jul 2015 13:59:13
If they come in with a figure closer to 30 mill I think we will have no choice other than to sell.

Agree1 Disagree2

17 Jul 2015 14:29:43
Think he's worth a lot more than 30 mil lancerboy. He has the potential to be one of the best cb in the world one day. If sterling worth 49 mil surely he,s got to be worth the same!

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Jul 2015 14:51:27
When you look at our transfer history (Lukaku aside) we do not spend big, we are currently portrayed in the press as being a poor club financially, our Managers balance the books, so when this is how your club is seen, other clubs WILL take the piss and make stupid offers, as seems the case with the Spurs - McCarthy saga! Why wouldn't Chelsea make a derisory offer if they were interested in Stones? or would BK's 'special relationship' ensure that doesn't happen?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - wasn't Fellaini a big money spending?}

18 Jul 2015 09:56:42
At the time I suppose yes but that was 5 years ago, £13m is nothing these days.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 19:11:10
Fellaini was 15mil and macca was 13mil that's 28 mil on two players plus another 28 for lukaku that's 56mil on 3 players for Everton that's some serious money to spend on 3player obviously all bought at different times we need a real driving force in midfield I would like us to play 442 diamond and macca in the holding role mirallas left and that shaqiri on the right Barkley iin CAM lukaku and mcaleny up top then a new GK or keep robles for first choice 3clean sheets in 7 apps then pushed straight out of the team when Howard was fit enough to cost us some major points not forgetting Europe I think Howards done us proud but is it time he heads back home across the pond?
