i dont see why we dont go for someonce like rodallega odemwingie o donavon bu knowing us we will probrbly get beeny mccarthy becasuse he's a free

KENWRIGHT OUT

Believable6 Unbelievable27

There's a report in one of todays newspapers that if Wigan have their bid for Odemwingie turned down they'll try and buy Yakabu. If that was the case they should try doing a part exchange for Rodalegga.

*whiteshadow* {Ed025's Note - ill have some of that..

Agree0 Disagree0

Becasue they cost money and Rodallega isn't good enough for us... {Ed025's Note - i think in a good side..he would do well..

Agree0 Disagree0

You've got my vote on that Ed. Rodalegga is pacey and has really good movement, with better players supplying him he'd score quite a few imo.

*whiteshadow*

Agree0 Disagree0

I would settle for rodallega with the yak goin or part of the deal i wouldent even mind roman pavlyachenkoand money wid rodwell goin the other way {Ed025's Note - i have got to admit..he,s not my favourite player..

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think anyone will be sold any deals will be done on the last day of transfer as usual {Ed025's Note - probably..

Agree0 Disagree0

In order for Wigan to do a part exchange with Rodallega and the Yak, Dave Whelan would have to undergo a labotomy. Just back off hol's and deliberately didn't read any british papers in the hope that I'd return and we'd have signed a few...what a hopeless romantic I am....should have stayed on the fxckin plane. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright out? and who in? that is a ridiculous thing to say, the man is fantastic for the club. He wants a good buyer as much as then next toffee, its just not that easy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright has been trying to sell the club for 3 years, he's a fan like us, but potential buyers are put off by the stadium requirement so the outlay before any players would be around 200 million thats the cost of the club plus having the stadium built this is before players, Kenwright has kept us afloat when others have slipped into the red and not recovered Leeds, Pompey, the day will come when we will be bought have faith but calling for Kenwright out is harsh on him, I'd like to see him sell and have some rich arab or yank but its not foreth coming at the minute. Leave the ranting to the red scum. NIl Stais Nisi Optimum

Agree0 Disagree0

We wont get Mccarthy either he's happy managing wolves Trig

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes will get things right on the pitch, we will be at least top 7 again. In moyes we trust

Several reports suggest that USA international Landon Donovan is on the cusp of a return to the Premier League, rejoining Everton on a permanent deal.

Donovan has previously enjoyed a very successful spell at Everton before, and was disappointed that no permanent deal was agreed.

However, Everton had remained in close contact with the American since he returned to his homeland, and David Moyes is now expected to rubber stamp a move for Donovan later this week.

Skysports website in the 'your rumour' section says chelsea will offer 15 million for rodwell {Ed025's Note - do we take it or not...over to you guys!

Believable8 Unbelievable23

Add sturridge on loan with a view to perm and il say yeah {Ed025's Note - how about straight swap?

Agree0 Disagree0

Same as above.

Agree0 Disagree0

Add 5 million and i'd take it. then use that for either krancar/holtby or donovan {Ed025's Note - i think you may be overrating rodders value

Agree0 Disagree0

I would, settle for a straight swap, or 15mil then, we could get a decent striker, we have enough cover in midfield, we can let Rodwell, go. {Ed025's Note - i tend to agree with you my friend..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't be happy with anything less than £20m for Rodwell, I don't rate him at £20m BUT he's young and English, we've seen the ridiculous prices players are going for atm so why shouldn't we try other teams?

GP {Ed025's Note - other teams know our financial situation...they will try to take advantage. and who could blame them!, if we do get offered £15m for rodders, i suspect the club will deal..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea give us sturridge in swap and i'll pay the taxi {Ed025's Note - have you been in a liverpool taxi lately?...it would cost more than the fee!..

Agree0 Disagree0

If we cant get sturridge i would take benayoun as part of deal, he is quality {Ed025's Note - decent enough player..if a little lightweight..

Agree0 Disagree0

No cash deal no way. Money has a way of disappearing with this group.. Get a good striker and can't complain, Sturridge is minimum.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about sturridge plus 5 million? ill be over the moon with that {Ed025's Note - the 5 million going which way?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont sell rodwell will come good {Ed025's Note - he has been coming good for a while now!....take the money and run..i say..

Agree0 Disagree0

Sturridge is part of Chelseas plans but Anelka (spelling) is supposedly not happy as he has slipped down the pecking order according to Sky Sports Transfer Centre yesterday, He would make a good addition and would work well with either becks or louis. Any money for Rodwell would fund a move and cover wages, maybe with a little left over opinions please ED {Ed001's Note - I think Anelka would be an excellent signing, he likes the city as well, I spoke to him a few times while he was playing for Liverpool and he liked it in the area. Scores goals, can create chances for others, quick, skilful, decent in the air, only real downsides are his wages and his age. Oh and I know he gets a bad press but he always came across as a really nice lad, so I don't see him having problems fitting in.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Anelka is 32, and just about to run out of steam. But would definitely take him on a season loan, with Chelsea paying a part of his wages (say anything over £40k). He's still got another class season ahead of him should he get playing time.

£15m + Anelka (loan) + a few choice add-ons (Rooney style).

THAT is a good deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton Financial controller on his way down to London to meet Kenwright {Ed024's Note - ??? what's the source and reason

Agree0 Disagree0

Better to sell rodwell than jags

Agree0 Disagree0

I was at the Skelmersdale v Chester city Match with the Everton Financial controller last night, constantly on his mobile, stated he was meeting Kenwright in London today {Ed024's Note - what's his name then??

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, meant Burscough v Chester City at Skelmersdale

Agree0 Disagree0

Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats the case we should do what everyone else is doin hold out for as much as we can get especially how highly they rate rodwell {Ed025's Note - i think you might find that its an urban myth, that everyone rates rodders highly

Agree0 Disagree0

if we get donavan what do you blues think of this team.howard neville jags distan baines coleman felli barkley/osman arteta donavan saha/beckford

Believable11 Unbelievable6

A good side admittedly, but I can't believe how often I have seen 'team picks' that omit Cahill, I still believe he will be very important for us, and have no reason to think he's on the wane.... {Ed025's Note - he has been a great player for us...but maybe coming on...as an impact player and as a back up striker, will be the roll that he will fill this season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman out injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant beleive u left out the one and only Tim Cahill, are u mad or what?

Agree0 Disagree0

I myself would not leave cahill on the bench as he.s one of our biggest threats against opposition otherwise a decent team selection

Eyefootbal.com say that everton are close to signing landon donovan on a permanent deal I went on twitter to see whats being said about donvan and the eyefootball link was there

Believable33 Unbelievable19

there is nothing on twitter

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes there is Just type his name in twitter and scroll down its there

Agree0 Disagree0

If you still cant find it just type in google 'eyefootball.com donvan to everton' its there in black and white Whether its true or not is another story

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be great but, still we need a left sided player and a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be good, but I agree that we need a left winger and a striker. How much is he valued at and where's this money coming from?

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta can play on the left donavon on the right {Ed024's Note - Or now that Nasri has gone to Man City(report BBC/Sky and sport media UK)maybe we will get Adam Johnson??

Agree0 Disagree0

Donovan is a striker He bangs them in for Galaxy. I'd have him playin up front rather than on the right all day long {Ed025's Note - not me mate...mls is a very poor league..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, you yourself have brought up the adam johnson deal a few times, is there something actually happening there then? {Ed024's Note - The player is unhappy and wants game time, we can give him that and DM likes the player

Agree0 Disagree0

RM for us mate.

GP

Agree0 Disagree0

With what? We have no money even for loans

Agree0 Disagree0

The MLS might not be the best league Ed, but nor is League 1 (Beckford) and the Irish League (Coleman) etc. It's about the player, not the league.

Murf {Ed025's Note - well that put me in my place!...nice one..

Agree0 Disagree0

But johndon also said he wants to fight for his place and likes a challenge :/

Agree0 Disagree0

Money isnt always necessary - some players are costing other teams a fortune (like some i could mention of ours) and not playing much - so they may want rid and they may do a good job for us. But I still think we have to spend at least 10 million for the fans to be happy - sell peripherals, buy a proper right winger and get a striker like defoe or sturridge on loan {Ed025's Note - in all our dreams..

Agree0 Disagree0

Donavan isnt a striker hes an attacking wide player and showed for us he is more than capable chasing back as well
i would take 15mill for rodwell, along with yobo and yak dosh we should get 2 decent additions in the right areas which would improve, maybe hotby and a decent strike for 10mill 9 not crouch please ) all this prviding DM gets all the money to spend, would also take onhoua on loan aswell if poss {Ed025's Note - not a bad shout mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wud like chris brunt from wba

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout

Blackburn have mde enquiries f the yak and yobo bt want to pay over 3 years

Believable14 Unbelievable7

Really? They want to pay around 5mil for the both of them over 3yrs? That would be more hassle than just handing over the 5mil straight away

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell them to shove it, we want their chicken dosh now

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope this is true as we need the cash and if we are to get donovan it will help pay for his wages

Onuha from s**tteee on Loan, would be good as can play in any of the bak 4 positions, play right bak, cover left bak which we are weak but would still prefer a winger & striker, should be our priority
COYB

Believable14 Unbelievable6

How can you say we're weak at left back when we've got the best left back in the prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said to cover left bak, I agree Baines is best in the world but god help us if he gets injured or banned

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout he is young, quick and built like an ox and pretty good defender

Apparantly QPR and palace had scouts at the reserve game yesterday to watch the yak (source is tribalfootball.com) lets hope they liked what they saw The yak scored aswell so that should help

Believable18 Unbelievable3

Yak has been scoring pre season and looks focused and to and commited to the cause (for now) He WILL score goals and in my opinion we need to keep hold of him. Say we get a poxey 3 mill for him, what can we buy with that? suprised at how many want to get rid so much when we have a half fit saha and beckford as our only other strikers.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Aug 2011 10:54:31
We will sign onucha (spelling) Donovan Vicente and a striker as it looks increasingly likely jagielka and beckford will leave COYB

Believable4 Unbelievable28

Wouldnt get viciente, hes 30, need a young, fast playmaker on the wing such as johnson perhaps?

Whats going on? This morning we are being linked with nedum onouha from city. Dont get me wrong i think hes a decent player and a powerhouse but why the hell would we sign another defender. We seem to have a thing about signing defenders and then playing them in midfield, does my head in. The one place where weve got plenty of back up is our defence, especially right back, after all weve only got neville, hibbert and coleman. We dont need another one. Lets concentrate on getting a striker in and a winger that has a bit of pace and can run at a player cause that is what we are badly lacking. Typical everton luck that we receive an offer for someone and its beckford, someone that is going nowhere, are these managers thick or something, they know that yakubu is up for sale, so they go for beckford instead, very smart. BK please give moyes some backing and sign him a few players. If he doesnt then i would back moyes all the way if he decided to leave because frankly i think the way he is treated sometimes is disgraceful. The board should be ashamed of themselves. This is going to be a tuff season to watch, i know everyone is saying beckford will have a good season, and i agree i think he will be decent, but he will struggle again because he cant play as the lone striker, and im sorry blues but thats what hes going to be doing, because sadly moyes wont play 2 up front. We should start with beckford and saha on saturday, is we dont then to me that shows a lack of ambition. But honestly i cant see where the goals are coming from this season. Hold on to your seats blues, its going to be a rocky ride Sorry if this sounds a bit down hearted but sadly its the truth of whats going on and i think all proper evertonians would agree. Just think boys, it could be worse, we could be blackburn

Believable16 Unbelievable4

Would you push Baines forward to the left wing and Onuoha left back?

could work, love to see Baines given a completely free role, not have to run back all the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, not sure if it will actually happen. With the cup of nations early next year and Onuoha said he wants to play for Nigeria, no way Moyes will take him to lose him for a month, just my thoughts

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree about the 2 up front but the reality is we dont have 2 strikers good enough to justify leaving out one of our better midfielders and most teams that come to goodison play one up front so if we played 2 we would be outnumbered in midfield which happened alot last season
one up front ususally works better for us as we have a strong midfield, if we are winning comfortably then we can always change, its so important not to lose these days and with the lack of depth in our squad you cant blame moyes for being cautious

Agree0 Disagree0

Will everyone stop being so down hearted the season hasnt even started yet.And the transfer window hasnt closed yet.If we get donavan we could try howard neville jags distan baines coleman fellini(spelling)barkley arteta donavan saha/beckford what do you blues think? {Ed024's Note - good positive shout COYB and Donovans update page on his own website has just gone down, maybe news, maybe just gremlins...??

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, could be worse. Could be Blackburn or Arsenal

***Maiden***

Was speaking to my dad the other day and he claimed that LA Galaxy are only allowed '3 designated high earners'...whatever that means

Checked up on google and it is actually true. Doesn't say how much is classed as a designated high earner but they already had 3. Beckam, Landon and Juan Pablo Angel the ex Villa lad.

Surely Keane would have gone there on big money so would that not mean one has to go...

Perhaps Donovan is on his way...hopefully to us

Believable14 Unbelievable7

They released angel

Agree0 Disagree0

I think beckham leaves at the end of the mls season

Agree0 Disagree0

---fox---

Angel is gone

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice idea but Juan Pablo Angel was released before Keane signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Juan Pablo Angel is the one who is leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

They have to be foreign

Agree0 Disagree0

Angel i think has been sold to Chivas or someone
