ed02 what do you think about mino raiola think he be pushing more of his clients on to us I think which could be a bad thing as he going to try get best deal for himself as much as possible.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Mino is a really decent guy and a great facilitator. He won't necessarily be pushing his clients on to Everton (unless you want Martin Jol as manager) but regardless of what he ends up doing it won't be cheap for the club.

Obviously the likes of Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Verratti and Donnarumma are not going to be joining Everton. The likes of Balotelli and Niang come with baggage and should probably be avoided; and the likes of Mastour and Narsingh won't be much of an improvement. The pick might be Kluivert - but I doubt Everton would be of interest to him.}

Great information Ed002 as usual. I would suspect Walsh would be leaving regardless of Brands coming or not. He must be aware of the situation and know his time is limited. I am surprised that Moshiri does not have a Plan B. What do you think?

{Ed002's Note - They will take their time. Not a thing to be rushed.}

Love Ed25 one of us views, but credit to you Ed02, you say it how it is and great knowledge of football, very interesting read above, big thumbs up from me.

E002 Any update about Marcel Brands seem dismissed Everton's approach? Or Everton has got other targets?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No, he is the target and he is the empoloyee of another club rioght now.}

17 Apr 2018 09:02:37
Thank you for your prompt respoend. You mean there is no more target?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

Ed002: I just hope that whoever Moshiri wants (DoF, manager, whatever) to bring into the club, that he’s getting sound advice from the appropriately experienced people who have the club’s wider longer-term interests at heart and not their own narrow short-term benefit.
Moshiri is clearly a wealthy successful businessman, but he surely needs to listen to the right (the best possible) football people about running a Premier League club if he’s to have any chance of success.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps Mino Raiola is giving advice now - but he obviously won't have Everton at heart.}

ED02 regarding Brands what are your thoughts on him if he does sign is he a step in the right direction reg right people in right roles and how will he benefit our recruitment.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Brands knows a lot of people within the game and would be an excellent choice if he were to make the move. He comes from an environment where clubs have values and bring youth in and through the ranks by necessity. What is difficult to envisage is how he would get on with Mino if he was stomping all over any plans he might have - we'll see what gives.}

Ed02 have you any inkling on how close either deal is and what repucusuions it could have on Walsh plus the scouts at the club would brands want a complete overhaul and just where will raiola fit into this rather big overhaul.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no way of judging "close" but if Brands were to arrive then Steve Walsh would leave. As for the scouting network, I would expect Brands to assess those extant scouts before making any changes. I understand that Moshiri has spoken with Mino already (they live in the same town and perhaps ran in to each other at the corner store) but I am not sure if there would be a deal per se. He certainly won't be joining the staff. As I said, I don't see how the involvement at a detailed level would work with Marcel Brands - and if that were the case I would expect one or the other to give. if it is simply a case of Mino assisting to negotiate bringing a new coach in then that would be different. If it is to help bring in players, then it would be a problem I think - I don't see Marcel Brands wanting Mario Balotelli at the club!!}

Ed002 who would be the new nanager target that Raiola recommend? I hope it's not be Martin Jol?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Fonseca has been the target but whether that happens or not remains up in the air.}

I wouldn't want Ballotelli either ED02 he ha thanks for the insight.

These links between 'super agents' and clubs are worrying and can't be for the good of football in general. Their fees are already extortionate ( look at the Barkley deal) and this just seems to be another way to line their pockets.
I can see another expose into bribes within football on the way in the not too distant future.
