David Moyes could raid Rangers again with a bid for Nikica Jelavic's former partner in crime, Steven Naismith.
The 25 year-old has a £2m release clause in his contract at Ibrox after agreeing to a substantial paycut earlier this season as the crisis-hit Glasgow side tries to stay afloat.

West Bromwich Albion have apparently tried to land the striker on the cheap but without success and that may open the door for Everton.

I am not too sure about him, but the last time I wasn't sure about a player from Rangers, well, he turned out to be amazing.

I have heard Naismith can play as a second striker, attacking mid, or even if need be a winger, so his versatility would certainly be welcome, and has been one of Rangers better players, so for 2mil, does seem a good deal, although, I would like to see us sign Pienaar before him.

Surely they won't sell because Rangers have a 12 month transfer embargo on them.

Seen him 4 times i can understand why jelovic rates him the best partner hes ever had

Is it just me that thinks he is really poor? Every time i have seen him play he has been awfull

Just asked a Celtic supporter in work about Naismith. He reckons he is a decent hard working player. High praise from a Celtic fan.

After sseeing what 5 million did in January a similar and realistic move could be.

If needed could move out Rodwell and Anichebe but I'd like to think we could do those 3 without lots of trading.

Would rather move out mucha, unwanted youngsters and unused players instead of those 2

If you dont think pienarr is worth 5 mil you should go to spec savers {Ed025's Note - i dont think anyone has said he is not worth 5m

they have already started.. it was the players, give him another year, we won the full of members (i mean carling cup). get rafa back.. mourinho will be next... no its pep... they are comedy gold.. proud to be blue and living in the future.

Rafa or mou could be reds but pep is untouchable for the red s**te (he is a very good manager for a very low range and miserable team).

Mourinho has stated before that he would never manage that lot. Everton yes, the dark side no.

pienaar for 4 mill if tottenham will let go however if they dont we will go for depsey for the left (although he can push up..) we will definatley have a look at donovan no idea about price though and with hoillett contract running out everton are set to bring him in, fingers crossed

Matt Phillips would be a very good signing, if Blackpool don't get promoted, surely we could look at him, don't know how much he would be worth, but has been very good this season, and I think he is a PL pedigree player.

Rumours of us getting oxalade chamberlain on loan and just read the England squad and they said he plays for everton! Also jags is on the stand by list, Gary Cahill has got his place! Baines is in the squad. {Ed025's Note - chamberlain will not be coming..
