Jc here
Don't shoot me down ed and fellow blues as I have never mentioned anything about someone buying us. But as u no ed I live down south and was on the train jubilee line going through canary wharf and I heard a load of men in suits talking about a takeover of us.
Just heard them saying there are a few potential buyers/investors and they are looking at may.
These men might have been fans, but they did look like business men.

Ed, Im going to get myself down to the smoke....the things you hear people saying on trains for all the world to hear...
I was once watching Thomas The Tank and the Fat Controller said....

just heard that distin will not be signing a contract at everton ans will be available at the end of the season on a free. I know he is 34 but he has the fitness levels and energy of a 24 year old, if this is true i am gutted personally i think he is a brilliant defender ! You heard anything on this ed's ? My source as usual is one of the lads who works in the spellow outside the ground he is a massive blue and has gave me some good info in the past regarding players in and out he never says how he knows but i think he has good friends working in the club but he denies it when i ask him haha
Steven {Ed025's Note - i hope he does sign a new contract ste...he is a quality player, sometimes its agents looking for a pay day that start these things, it will be his last big contract, so hopefully we will offer him a good deal..and he will stay..

Hope this is not true, he has been mr cosistancy, and, so we are told a great attitude in trainning. if we can give phil a two year deal at 34, the why not him ?

Agree1 Disagree1

I think his contract is one where we can take up an option of an extra year and I think Moyes said as much earlier in the season when this was first brought up. If the extra year option isnt taken up then its a change of heart from Moyes. Reckon he'll be here next season if you ask me.

Agree1 Disagree1

Let me tellyou this 34 is no age look at the sh.gger giggs hes coming up to 40 the true pro scholes is 36,if we loose distan to a free its a descrace we paid 5.5mill for him we cant take that sort of hit......yours tristen goldberg the third

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes there is a option of 1 year on his current contract but just before christmas, wasn't there rumours he wanted a two year deal which everton weren't sure about ?
As the 2nd poster said if we can give a 2 year deal to Phil Neville then why not Distin ? He is class and a big player for us

Agree0 Disagree1

Everyone has there price and it will all be taken care of - Moyes knows he needs to start filling his team with quality youngsters - maybe there's a bright young thing out there who would jump at whatever we're paying distin?

Agree1 Disagree1

No need to sort contract out yet, we can enforce another at same wage, moyes is hoping duffy and nisala come through, promising signs looking to younger squad age. Just for the phil nev quote above, we have only started to play better again as he has returned to the team. born leader not the best player but organises us better than anyone else

we have been linked for a summer move for rodellaga of wigan apparently he has a choice of 3 clubs everton, stoke and a un named club he is free at the end of the season

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Hes a good player but i allways get the impression hes a bit of a sulk and we really dont want players like that.If we sign denis i think we will have good forwards for next season, him and jellyman can cause defences some trouble next season,i cant wait..Terry blue {Ed025's Note - he is a bit sulky...but i would take him on a free..

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree with ed, i'd take him on a free unless his agent tries to ask for daft wages !
He isn't a prolific goalscorer but he is full of energy, very quick and works really hard, bit like Andy Johnson but better all round player..... on a free and realistic wages ? I would take him

just seen on the football rumours page that we are after C. J. Sapong from the mls, suprised that it wasnt posted on here. he is available on a free from next week so we can sign him then, he is only 23 he's a striker and he won rookie of the year in the mls last season. although he's goal scoring record doesnt look great.
