more news that Theo Wharton a young 17 yr old welsh kid plays for cardiff could be in talks with the blues for around £500,000.. he plays in their youth team still but has bags of potential.. we are also leading race to sign dempsey from fulham for around 5m, pienaar wants to sign a 2 year contract and the fee for him is around 3-4m, (id pay it for him, hes worth every penny) and finally a 26 yr old rightback who plays for lille Mathieu Debuchy could be a new face on the scene very soon.. replacement for hibbo/nev

His contract at Cardiff is to 2014 and is highly regarded can't see it where abouts in midfield does he play? But stranger things have happened prospects get snapped up on the cheap but for 500k I can't see Cardiff letting him go for that if they could train him a few years and sell him on like Aaron Ramsey

Ive heard a few things about Roque Santa Cruz from Man city. his contract expires next year, hes 30, he could be ideal for a one year loan deal and possibly if he hacks it here at everton pairing with jelavic, a possible short 1 or 2 year contract next season on free transfer.. doesnt really stand a chance at city.
ste {Ed024's Note - Is he not injury prone????
Believable3
Unbelievable26
He's not injury prone I don't think, He has said he would prefer to stay in spain though So I doubt this will happen {Ed024's Note - Good player though

There's a better younger player from man city who's currently on loan at Feyenoord called guidetti 20 years old and has scored 20 goals this season in 23 games!

Santa Cruz is a quality player, if fit.
I agree about Guidetti, he's been pulling up trees in Holland. Would be amazing if we could try and get him on loan.

I have heard that Stade Rennes winger Jonathan Pitroipa will be joining Everton this summer. He is 25 or 26 and he is very very quick, would be a brilliant acquistion and I don't think that buying him would break the bank.
Hopefully next season:
Howard
Hibbo Johnny Distin Baineso
Pitroipa Felli Gibbo Peanuts
Dempsey Jelly

Rumour I heard today (that wouldn't surprise me) is that Dan Gosling has been offered back to Everton for very little money at all, they don't really rate him and they're trying to free up his wages. Now I hate him for leaving, but If he was offered for little money I would take it, he was brilliant for us. Thoughts?

NO, i do not want him back he is awful and he the only 2 good things he did for us was score against United and of course scored that last minute goal against the R/S.
Agree1
Disagree0
Quite honestly I would quite like to see Gosling back at Goodison. I really want to love him for his goal in the FA cup vs the Reds but the way he left made me sick. He was a great player with us and I still believe he's a great young prospect.
There will obviously be ill feeling towards Dan if he should return but another goal against the Reds or a number of great performances should go some way to winning the fans back over. I for one though would like some clarity over the issue of Gosling's exit.
Would not invest too much in him though, Pienaar must be No.1 priority with a couple of free signings like Hoilett, Rodallega and Diame but overall would like to see Dan back in blue

There is no way i want that little c--t back at my club.Terry blue
Agree0

Let him rot! champonship player @ best!
Agree1
Disagree1
No way! The manner in which he left us was very disrespectful. A lot of people who said the same thing about Pienaar when he left are now saying he should be the first player we sign which is totally hypocritical. I want to note the distinction between the two incidents though. We got a reasonable fee for Pienaar who left because we wouldn't give him parity with the highest earners at the club - we should have done - and for the lure of Champions League football. I think he was surprised not to get the contract he was after and was transfer listed. Gosling left us after we'd given him his chance in the league for one big pay day, with no thought for the club. Sod him.
Agree1
Disagree1
He's a rat. STEF.
Agree0
Disagree0
Yeh, I don't think he is really good enough for me, had 2 good moments and thats it, and the way he treated this club was very disrespectful, especially since we brought him to the Prem League, to break a gentleman's agreement just for money is not the type of person I want at this club
Agree0
Disagree1
Sniff the smelling salts and give yourself a slap . he disrespected the club that trained and gave him a living , then walked away for NOTHING !!. he could ave done the decent thing and signed a contract and then put in a transfer request so our gr8 club could ave got some cash, but nooooo. maybe it was him , maybe his agent ?. he bit the hand that fed him .. it hasn,t worked out so leave him in the pit he dug 4 himself !!!....
Agree1

When was he brilliant for us?
As much as I enjoyed his goal against The s**te, he was still an average player at best.
He wasnt good enough b4 he left and he still isnt good enough now
Agree1

He should never ever be allowed to don an everton top again. He thought he was bigger than the club, now look at him!
Agree1

Slowest player ever an not good enough
Agree1

He was never good anyway? apart from the goals, he never gave a good performance? too slow to be a winger and not good enough to play in the middle and doesnt have say osmans intelligence or technique to get away with his lack of pace. let him rot, hes utter garbage

2 years too late, don't want him anywhere near us after turning his back on us. (Andy the Chef)
Agree0

I would love this to be true, the first loan spell he was brilliant for us, think he would fit the 4-2-3-1 formation brilliantly and link up with the likes of Pienaar, Jelavic and Fellaini.
Although I severely doubt it happening, but it would be nice to see Manny in a blue shirt again.

I would love it he was quality, i work with someone who is turkish and he said that him and quresma (cant spell) are not happy out in turkey

Rumour in Turkey? I can understand I rumour going around the class room or the bus!!
But around Turkey? Really?
You must have just got back off your early summer jollies and overheard the locals talking about it!
Or the captain announced this rumur on landing along with the local weather forecast!
Is this really a true statement or another bored dreamer making things up?

He's actually a defensive/holding midfielder nowdays and seems to do it pretty well at that, very rarely loses the ball when in posession. The problem is (if the rumour is even slightly true) I still resent him for snubbing our club.. I was very happy for him to rot away his massive potential in the Turkish league. {Ed025's Note - me too..

Quite a few players on the verge / aging that may be moved on to free up wages plus get a return to bolster the transfer funds.
Cahill, Distin, Anichibe, Mucha, & Yobo
Believable4
Unbelievable21
Get real Cahill, never in a million years, total bluenose through his whole body and will finish his career here, watch him come good again next season, passion, drive, commitment just had a bad sort of season by his high standards
Distin - 2 years left in the big man.
Anichebe - Doesn't do anything for me at all, I've tried and tried to like the lad but to no avail
Mucha/Yobo - Who are they?

I would probably think cahill will move on this summer to australia. we all know he,s a gr8 player/person and ambassador to our gr8 club. am sure he wudn,t want to leave on a free cuz thats the man he is . a true blue through and through.... i,d miss him if he did go and wish this gr8 player all the best in the future.... maybe he cud come back and coach after he finishes playing and will be welcome in open arms when he does.

If we can't get Pienaar we will go for Matt Jarvis for around 5 mill.
The only other signing will be a striker on loan or for a free.
Moyes will agree to this but only if Kenw-tight agrees to keep key assets - Fellaini, Rodwell, Baines etc
Believable14
Unbelievable17
If we've got 5mill to spend trust me it will go on pienaar, rumours of manny fernandes coming back aswell magine that
Agree1

If our best players ave to be sold then i for 1 hope its done early and not for a cheap amount.(10 mill for arteta )was daylight robbery seein as the reds**te paid 35mill 4 a donkey with girly hair ... the rich , tight boardmembers need to blow off the cobwebs and invest to give this gr8 club the lift it needs. moyes has been good 4 us with the pennies he was given and i hope the man signs a long contract , right next to the big transfer kitty cheque for reinforcements alongside the brilliant young players coming through .... next year is gonna be a good season

Everton are apparently focusing all their efforts into signing Steven Pienaar, Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey.
Believable45
Unbelievable4
If we get all 3 that would be a perfect summer, but in order to get all 3, we would have to sell someone. I would just be ecstatic if we resigned Stevie P, and maybe one or two freebies or loans {Ed025's Note - im with you there mate..
Agree1
Disagree0
Would be 3 great signings.peanut left obviously, Landon right, obviously, Clint behind Jelavic obviously, feli alongside Gibson in the centre. Strong team, if it ever came off. Even a bench of cahill, Osman, A Goalie (need signing with Mucha money), Barkley, Distan, Neville, Gaye.

No it's not - it's not in any of the papers that are on the 'what the papers say' page of the everton website
we'd all love it if we got all three of these - I'd actually fancy us to win the league if we did - but it aint gonna happen - Bill wont give up the money
Agree0
Disagree0
All 3 good players but A) We cant afford them and B) Moyse would not buy 3 players of their ages. Donovan and Pienaar both 30/31 and Dempsey i think is 28 or 29. We need to get the average age down a bit as we already have a fair few oldies in Neville, Hibbo, Distin, Cahill and Ossie.
