Laxalt of Genoa mentioned this morning. With Tierney deal looking dead and Shaw reported to have turned us down, clear that a LB is rightly top of our priority list. Don’t know much about this lad. Another mentioned is Wilmar Barrios, Colombian playing for Bocca Juniors. Could be a busy week ahead with incomings and outgoings.

Laxalt is a left wing for genoa mate, but did a decent job I the wc.
Barrios i'd love, played well for Columbia, good withn the ball but has an aggressive streak that we miss in midfield.

If it’s true that Shaw turned us down it could turn out to be an even better non-signing than Sissoko. From everything I’ve read and seen Shaw has a huge attitude problem,
not to mention a weight issue.
Would have been delighted with Tierney though. I cannot believe for a minute that we baulked at the price. Fantastic player already and still very young. City spent £100m on two full backs last year so £25m would be a bargain for Tierney.

Fair point Johny. That’s not what I was getting at though, more stating what a top draw full back seemingly costs and apparently Tierney is only half that. Given that Keane cost us that I think Tierney would be far better value for the figure.

Reason to be says. We have a budget and 25mill was above it. I just admit I wanted this one pushed through quick.
