Not been on here in a long time, but just wanted to post to say there's some rumours knocking about that we're after Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv. More than likely not true but would be some signing if we pulled it off.

{Ed025's Note - great player tony..hope your right mate..

Absolutely tore us apart in the Europa League last season. If we have enough, should be a player we should go all out to bring in.

Walmart is disgraceful, (I'm American) but if any American company was willing to invest a substantial amount of money in the club I would be all for it, so long as they don't stick their big ugly logos on our jersey.

There is no way it would be WalMart as they have a huge share in Arsenel via Stan Kronke.

I hope the talk of a kenwright out banner being flown over st Mary's is false. If you want him out who exactly is replacing him? Do you have the cash for 25% shares of the club? Also show some class this is not the everton way. Love him or hate him I hope we sing his names as fans should a banner fly over head to show not support to him but distain for morons

{Ed025's Note - I hope we are bigger than that svenny..

15 Aug 2015 08:20:54
Hope this is not true. and how come it's Bill Kenwright who gets all the stick I can name a few other hangers on at the club. Probably the blue union again making themselves looking stupid again. let's concentrate on the football 2-0 Everton today with Rom getting both.

Planes and banners are the wrong way of trying to shift the board.we need shareholders to force the issue, problem is the majority shareholders are the board.do you think sir philip carters share are holding things up or has his family taken up a position on the board. Love him or hate him bill loves are club and won't risk are future with the many crackpots that have bought others. Notts co,leeds, sheff wed etc are no better off and we linked to big investers.

Blue union are a typical gang of deluded morons , the members are probably the type of fans who used to bunk into all the games at goodison , it wouldn't matter how well we were playing there are always fans who are unot happy , they usually just want to be contrary to satisfy their emotional need to rebel.its a scouse thing I reckon , everton football club has never sold out its local tradition , selling out and chasing dollars goes hand in hand with success , we might not have had any trophies in the last 20 years , but we still have our soul, look at the Liverpool fans getting all giddy about the new stand they are building.none of their local fans will be able to afford to sit in it, its all for corporate business , I want success as much as the next evertonian , but faced with choice of rolling the dice , losing and becoming a Leeds , portsmouth etc , I reckon I am happy to stick with what we have .

{Ed025's Note - not all BU supporters are as you paint them DC, most of them have the good of the club at heart, but sometimes it does come across a bit crass..

Think the problem is its seems we r being left behind in the transfer market and we blame the board maybe it's Bobby who went pay over the odds maybe all the player who r signing for other teams that we r linked with we are not in for them just my opinion let's stay calm till 6 pm on the 1st sept

I agree with above comments. I know I'm blowing Moyes trumpet but between him and Kenwright they brought Everton to the top end of the league from the bottom of the league in a very limited budget. Not many clubs have done that. I pride myself in supporting a club that has been in the top flight the second longest without being relegated. Arsenal being the one in the top flight the longest. I do believe the only way we can compete at the very top is a massive investor. As stated above that doesn't always happen. It's not BK fault Everton are not progressing any more. Him and DM took Everton as far as anyone could under the circumstances. Leave BK alone! Who or what can do any better. Even though I'm not convinced with Martinez I believe he has the right approach. Hold onto to the players we have and only spend to improve the team. Look at the spending Tottenham done and got no further. Please Martinez change your tatics and you never know if we hold onto to our players and these players for the 'future' come through there is a chance we can compete at the top. If anyone has any better solution I'd love to hear them as I seen Everton scraping at the bottom. Hopefully the good work DM and BK can be built upon

I echo a lot said before in earlier posts, without BK and DM we were fighting off relegation each season. Martinez has done a bad job just other teams have done better and in my opinion he just needs to be a little more flexible in his tactics possession is good when it has a positive direction or positive end result! Banners about Kenwright out are not positive especially at a time when we are needing a positive push!
And it is Martinez and Kenwright that have secured talents like Lukaku and Deulofeu, just need to ensure we keep them! 😊

I hope those who organised this disgraceful banner before today's game have a think about the further negativity they are promoting. Then again I am probably asking too much as idiots rarely think!

It was a day to celebrate a very good game where Everton played as good as I have seen for sometime. I hope we can all get behind the club and the team to see where we can take this. I hope also that we can have a little faith in our transfer activity rather than the constant panic. Nobody truly knows who we have even bid for, but you would think from this and other sites we have missed out on just about everyone who has changed clubs. Two words none sense!

Well said both fishy and southern toffee. a lot of non-sense in transfer talk. People wanting to get excited. Beating Southampton 3-0, last years second lowest goals against team, conceding only 1 more goal than Chelsea last season is enough to get me excited. I'm not losing the run of myself its along time until next May but a lot of positives from todays game. Martinez looks like he's copping on with his tactics. On a different note funny there is no one on this website giving out about Kone anymore! People far too quick to judge. Before this season how could you judge him. He was plagued with injury. It was frustrating he wasn't getting going but I'm sure it was a lot more frustrating for him. Hope he stays injury free for the season and then everyone will know if he is good, bad or indifferent. Not saying he's Messi or anything just thought he was getting too much stick for being injured basically. 2 assists and a goal in two games isn't bad for anyone. See how the rest of the season goes for him.

Is good to see Kone in amongst it and Barkley as well, it's all been too quick to be doom and gloom and I can be guilty of that myself to some level! We would all love Everton to filthy rich and making huge signings every transfer window like we are playing football manager with the cheat mode on but we aren't, but we are stable and have a good group of players and some promising talent coming through

Great result today 😊😊😊

Lots of valid points have been raised but the main question is, do we believe Kenwright is the right chairman? My opinion is no! If he maintains the majority share holding in the club or not! under his chairmanship the club have been asset stripped, to the bare bones with no real explanation to where the money has gone, (20 million on other expenses?) We need a new chairman & a new chief exec because the current ethos of the board does not match that of our supporters, we are Everton we should be one of the biggest teams on the planet, but after years of mis-management & under achievement we are coming close to the point of no return, we need to act now! can we cope with another failed stadium? Bill saved us from Peter Johnson but who will save us from Bill, no one will invest in a club unless they get the majority shareholding so Kenwright has 3 options stay as we are & hope for the best, step down & bring in a new chairman/ chief exec, or sell his majority shareholding. As supporters of this great club we need to see some activity from the board or management, if Moyes hadn't left for utd he'd still be manager, finishing in Europa place is considered a good season, well i'll tell you what it's not good enough for me, (NIL SATI NISI OPTIMUM)!
