United are set to make a £25m bid for Fellaini. Not enough, £30m or more then consider it.

Hi ed
It's being reported that Manchester United want bainesy to put in a transfer request to help push through a deal, do you think he would do that to the fans that adore him.? {Ed025's Note - i really dont think so mate, its not deffo, but he seems a guy of outstanding loyalty to me..

Believable12 Unbelievable5

I honestly don't see Baines doing that to us I don't think/hope he's that type of fella!

Man Utd being all what I hate about football.

Rooney, Once a blue always a blue, then signs for the other red crap, leave it out, I and many others, don't even want to see him watching us let alone playing for us

Believable15 Unbelievable16

But didn't duncan ferguson leave and come back?

Agree3 Disagree1

If Rooney came back and that is a big if and started banging goals away for us you would be jumping up and down and all would be forgiven so please just try and turn off your bitterness towards him cause 1 day he may well wear the blue of Everton again.

Agree2 Disagree1

Utter dribble, fantastic player, comments above from someone who has limited knowledge. of the game

Agree1 Disagree1

Well said mate, he lost my respect when he kissed the manc badge at Goodison.

Agree1 Disagree2

Big dunc left because he got forced to if I remember right he didn't want to leave and its well documented so that argument is redundant mate sorry but its fact

Agree3 Disagree1

So if rooney came back, scored the winner against Liverpool you wouldn't be happy mike?people leave clubs all the time.i understand kissing the badge wasn't the smartest thing he has ever done but he's never been the brightest.as stef said its a big if but if he came back everyone would welcome him back with open arms because he is a top player

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Aug 2013 22:30:26
How do we know he left happily?

Maybe Moyes had a hand back then in caring for our young lads

Agree1 Disagree0

Its all about opinions, I would take Rooney back tomorrow.
Yes he's been a div but the big question would he improve our squad? Of course he would and anyone who would not want a player of Rooney's quality because of being a div is cutting off there nose to spite there face!

Mr Blue Sky

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2013 23:55:54
Behave, Rooney is a quality player and could play for any club. Him coming to us is never going to happen but to say you wouldn't have a player of that quality is silly

Toffee Tony

Agree0 Disagree0

The only reason people are saying they wouldn't have him back is because there is very little chance of it happening. If there was a chance, they'd love it.

I'd put in a cheeky loan bid for him with them paying most of his wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2013 19:28:44
I'll just put it this way. My jaw would NOT hit the floor if a Fellaini/Rooney swap deal happened. Moyes & Utd could save face by saying they got £35m for Rooney, (because Felli's buyout clause had lapsed & they valued him at £35m), Rooney would be away from Moyes again & playing at his childhood club, some compromise had been reached on wages etc.
It's not beyond the realms of fantasy & believe me, I have some great fantasies. The one with me, Melanie Sykes & that bird off Emmerdale is a cracker. sorry, just got a bit carried away there! {Ed025's Note - do you meas cains bird tezza?...she is a fox..

Leighton Baines will have to hand in a transfer request at Everton if he wants to force through a move to Manchester United, reports the Daily Mail.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that United's £12m bid for 28-year-old Baines was a "final offer" and the England left-back will be staying at Goodison Park.

But the Daily Mail understands that United want Baines to push harder for a move before they make an improved bid, with a written transfer request the ultimate way of showing that he wants to leave.

Believable1 Unbelievable13

The Daily Mail sports desk been obsessed with Baines going to United for years. Literally. It has been one their main transfer stories for the past 6 transfer windows, in all of which they've been certain that he was leaving. He wasn't.

I don't know if he's going or not (though my suspicion is that he's staying put) but I do know that there is absolutely no point in believing anything The Mail prints about us.

Agree0 Disagree0

They have already poached our manager now they are trying to unsettle our best player ieven though they are supposedly the richest club in the world don't the normal rules apply to them {Ed025's Note - richest in money maybe...certainly not class..

Agree1 Disagree0

Starting too get really pissed off with the baines, fellaini rumours. Cannot remember how far back, but Bainsey has been mentioned for quite a few years as going. He could stop all this by saying, he loves Everton and wants to stay, or are Everton waiting for a big offer as well as for fellaini.
Patsyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

A friend of mine knocks about with baines and he really wants to join Man U but will not under no circumstances put a request in case Utd don't meet the asking price as he would hate to upset the fans, so as long as the asking price is not meat be assured baines will not put a request in

Agree1 Disagree0

This is total crap, he cannot stand moyes, and unless the club push him into a transfer he has no intention of leaving.

Agree1 Disagree0

Baines will go to Man U, who wouldn't at his stage of his career

It's spreading like fire just had text to say he has been in talks with Nike and kenwright for weeks wages are sticking point it's a long term deal but let's just say it was part of moyes deal that we want rooney but no comments or bidding war he will go for fee of less than Chelsea offered it will come out soon what so rooney ok to play 70 mins for england but not able to be on bench for utd to get game time do me a favour just as the moyes thing it's been going on from day one you can't tell me we should not of got compensation for tapping up and not do anything about it it's been brushed under carpet because of we have rooney coming back {Ed025's Note - hmm

Believable7 Unbelievable14

This is one of 3 things - 1. You've been smoking something 2. You've been playing FIFA past your bedtime 3. Your doing your wheeler dealing on your fantasy football. I've read some whoppers over the last few days!

Baz

Agree1 Disagree1

I've heard this weeks ago

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not coming back yet. Period! In any case he's not good enough to get in our team, he's a fat, overweight has been and is probably about 42 now, he looks it and plays like it.

Agree0 Disagree2

The only way I can see Rooney coming to us, is in a panic loan, if United players kick up more of a fuss and the possible damage rooney staying can cause is massive to the team so they loan him out to us, because we do not pose a threat to them even with Rooney. A transfer deadline day loan. This is still very slight, but if Rooney is still adament of leaving and is not getting his head down at United, and no foreign teams are coming in for him, then that may be United's only way out of the situation and therefore may be willing to eliminate the wage stumbling block by contributing substantially to his wages. A loan will either give Rooney a break and he will change his mind over leaving Man U permanetly or, will give United much mure time and oppurtunities to offload Rooney to a team abroad. I'm not saying it is likely, but if things work in a certain way, it is a possibility.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm going to schwiiiing me pants big time if we end up living in Wayne's world!
Let me dream a bit longer all you miserable dream killers! :)

no chance, stop hoping! you can make stuff sound as valid as the 125th version of the bible but it won't make it come true! he's not coming back so stop saying its happening. utter toilet.

Agree0 Disagree1

Why would nike subsidise Rooney's wages for him to go to a club with less global exposure. I would love it to happen but none of it makes sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't see it happening myself, and if any move were made I could only see it being with Felli going the other way, which unless we could replace him too would leave us with a bit of a problem.

Having said all that, if it did happen, after having recovered from the heart attack I would be happy enough with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can someone out of contract be tapped up

Agree0 Disagree0

So let me get this straight . because Manchester United tapped up David Moyes from Everton they are offering us Wayne Rooney on the cheap to buy our silence?
That sounds as plausible as Elvis not being spotted on the moon.

Joe Mc - EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't out of contract at time his contract ended in june

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would u need to pay compensation for a manager when his contracting was expiring.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was out of contract the end of June, took up the Utd job on July 1st. Nothin wrong with that. You can't tie him to a chair with a gun to his head. Legally Moyes did nothing wrong, morally it's a different story.

Agree0 Disagree0

First of all Everton can't afford wazza, two why would we give you rooney because we took your manager who's contract was expiring at the end of june.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was under contract when he was tapped up by fergie

Agree0 Disagree0

For the last time everton would not get compensation but he was still under contract with everton even if it was coming to the end the fact they approached moyes and not made formal contact with kenwright that's the bit that's wrong it's a case of Manchester United saying to bill we want to talk to moyes about being our new manager that's it not ferguson asking him round is house and offering him the job while he is under contract weather he has 1 month or 3 years left on it if bill invited Rooney to his house and offered him to come back with out Manchester United premision then that's tapping up so what's the difference none simple Manchester United are allowed to get away with it

Massive money going on Rooney coming back to Everton. Even got a bit excited with all the talk of Ferguson hating him and wanting him gone, UTD supposedly subsidising his wages.

Reality Check. Just got it from a family member, he is being sold, but it is definitely not Everton. they are still 100% certain he wants to finish his career at Goodison, but it is a couple of years to soon, for it to be a realistic option.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Strange comments from Moyes last night after the England v Scotland game, saying the run out did Rooney some good re fitness YET said he still not fit enough for the next few games etc for Utd and won't even be on the bench?

well doing 70 mins last night in a high tempo game surely means you can do 10mins plus off the bench v's Swansea etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically you can't believe a word Moyes says but he's very careful to keep his comments ambiguous - so he can't be accused of being an outright liar

i.e. "I've said to the chairman we'll see where we are at the end of the season and see what his plans are for taking the club foward. blah blah blah "

Not going to happen.Purely down to finances!

Nike are involved tho. they won't want him wearing adidas at Chelsea. They may get involved with the wages etc? Maybe a loan for a year will be the sweetner in any last minute deals for felli or LB? just had 20 quid at 33/1 with Sky worth a punt
BB {Ed025's Note - you may as well have tossed your £20 down a grid!..

Agree0 Disagree0

That's obviously temping but know what I remember being told about moyes and how loads of bets were put on him this was before ferguson announced retirement then all of a sudden moyes is manager week later there must be something out there for people to bet on it this is what will happen rooney will sign for everton last day of window he is going and that is it case of utd can't afford to sell to Chelsea fact so they have to sell him where he can't hurt them as much in the way of title so not going abroad that's that only one place Roo

Not a blue rumour but the Times has it that Chelsea's chase for Rooney is a smokescreen and they are infact after Rat Boy from across the park and will finalise a deal at the last minute.

Also, it seems Rooney has Joseph Yobo disease; fall out with Moyes and become injured but make a recovery for every international, before becoming injured again for the remaining club fixtures.

From what he was saying it looks like we have room for a loan or 2, nothing more. Unless we sell Fellaini for around £18-20m, in which case we'll probably sign McCarthy and get another on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above poster I don't see any signal to show we will have only loan move. Also even no cash impossible to sell Felli 20m.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't quite know what exactly you're saying sitea but I suspect you're saying Fellaini won't be sold for £20m? Why not, nobody was willing to pay £23m so it stands to reason they won't pay any more when, if they wanted him, they could've paid less.
He won't go for more than £23m unless someone is really desperate last minute panic buying, which would leave us unable to buy a replacement.

So Baines and Felli staying judging by his public statement today regarding interest in our players.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2013 10:35:18
he has also suggested he is winning the battle to prevent baines joining Man Utd, but may do business regarding fellaini if the right offer comes along. I'm sure he has his targets if fella is to leave and that would strengthen our squad, particularly if the players martinez brings in would suit his style of play more than fella does. Personally, as good as I think fella is, he is struggling with the pace of play when we have the ball in the new system. Granted he looked half the player he is now when he first came to us, and that is down to hard work adapting to the pl and he would eventually adapt his style into martinez style, but if we were forced to sell by a huge figure offered in the region of £30 - £40Mill, then I would suggest cashing in to bring in 2 centre midfielders (1 defensive and one ball playing), a centre back and potentially a centre forward to strengthen our squad and really put an owness on competition and fighting for starting places in the first 11. CraigHuytonBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Well that does put the ball in our court and it would seem strange if any one would buy now surely we would want 30m but want him to stay and I think he will do you think there is an agreement with kenwright and moyes that he won't hassle club into selling hence the one offer seem strange how it was a one time offer usually they would make a second on a high profile player

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically it translates to he will be sold for £18-20m near the end of the window. Quotes of £30-40m are pure fantasy and nonsensical.

Agree0 Disagree0

They would have had him by now then if it was 2 weeks ago. Moyes obviously looking elsewhere.

I heard off my mate that we are loaning out John Stones for a season, any truth eds?
-lannyefc {Ed025's Note - i cant see it lanny..

Believable1 Unbelievable11

I can't see it, he looked top quality in pre-season and can definately do a job. Also I think his development would be much better at everton, training and playing with Jagielka and Distin. He will learn so much from them two.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stones looks great from the pre season games so far and is being touted as 'premier league ready' by coaching staff. Much as Coleman doesn't really need the competition as he plays so well, but I think Bobby would play him quite a bit next season, as he's got an attacking threat in that thunderous shot of his. Does anyone know if Stones can play in other positions? If he can play as CB then that might help with the Alcatraz injury problem. Plus Hibbo is injured so we definitely need the cover at RB. My long winded waffly point is, he won't be going on loan this season.
