Just read there that Glwady street school is to be relocated and the site has been offered to the club don't know if allowed name the site it was on grand old team under the heading new main stand I know it could be rubbish but have you heard anything on this ed it also mentioned something about the surrounding houses there as I said somebody posted it and gave a reply when questioned on it could be a wind up though. Stef the blue

Believable13 Unbelievable15

If it is true we could build the same as we have on goodison road, will bump us up to 50k atleast

Agree0 Disagree0

That was mentioned years ago tbh! But nothing came of it.
Mr Blue Sky

Agree0 Disagree0

LFC will probably step in and buy it for a car park and yes we really are that slow at Everton.
Andy The Chef

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy, you are spot on their mate, absolutely spot on. I don't think John Woods even knows where the school is. Kenwright might do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get the porto bloke in. He will bring moutinho with him with the extra cash we got. Failing that Alan stubbs with big dunc as number two. SORTED!

Agree0 Disagree0

Also a little point has anyone noticed that, walton van sales yard is very empty too looks like that's relocated, hmmm only 2 rows of home too never know blues this could be the start to our new ground,
john coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

What get the porto bloke, big dunc and stubbsy in to build the new stand?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love us to stay put and redevlop goodison, the place means so much to so many

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't we have to buy up all the houses in the area as the school only covers half of the bullens road, with the rest consisting of dwellings?

Agree0 Disagree0

A redevelopment of the Bullens and The Street end would surely give us enough capacity. When you look at The Bullens so few Houses would have to be Compulsory Purchased its a no brainer if The school is relocating!

Agree0 Disagree0

I was looking down Goodison Road the other day. If the club bought the Wilmslow there are not many other shops occupied down there. They could knock them down to build a new main stand.

Agree0 Disagree0

People forget the park end can also have a second tier put on, which was the original plan I believe.
Mr Blue Sky

Agree0 Disagree0

To redevelop Goodison would be a massive undertaking. I am no designer but it would surely see us need to use an alternative facility to get the work done as quickly as possible. Using an improved footprint around the ground, would be in many ways, morecin keeping with our traditions and history. As nice and appealing a brown field development can look good imagine going to a game with no independent chippy near the ground etc etc. I would love to think Goodison could be sensitively redeveloped but at what cost compared to a clean site.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2013 02:20:12
If you can see Wilmslow from Goodison Road you must have great eyesight even from the roof of the main stand that takes some doing.
From what I here the Park End was a cowboy job and is close to collapse underneath.

Agree0 Disagree0

With regards to the above post about the Wilmslow pub I don't know why everton don't buy it and open it on match days.

Hopefully moyes will help out the club he has managed for 11 years by giving us a couple of players on loan from Man UTD

Believable17 Unbelievable13

It isn't the players we get from united, its the players he will take with him that we need to worry about

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't mind getting Chicarito in if they decide to sign another striker.

Think he would be very good for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately he hasn't gone to United to help anyone but United. If he worries about us he is doomed.

Great replacement for moyes Paul lambert from villa come on Everton fans get the ball rolling.

Believable6 Unbelievable35

I smell a red nose. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

No he's a poor manager

Agree0 Disagree0

That ain't a red nose, that's a Villa fan trying to get rid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lambert is a class act and would be my first choice actually. Go get him BK. villa fans sure as hell don't appreciate him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think your right, a villan infiltrator. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Remind me, how many titles & European cups everton won in the past 50 years, surely must be up there with Madrid, and Milan or Liverpool.

Everton will make a formal approach to speak with Martinez tomorrow or Friday, this source is solid!

Believable18 Unbelievable29

I really do hope not, nice guy all day long, but the road to nowhere in football terms.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope not he took his last team down

Agree0 Disagree0

A great club like Everton shouldn't be interested in a man who has just got his team relegated. There was a time not too long ago when the Blues only went for the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

If your source an old dog's pooh? they're normally rock solid!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave Whelans started to get my back up a little bit. We are top 6 in league, 4th most successful team in English history and we have a pie eater saying we are not big enough for Martinez when they have just been relegated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez has only won 25 games in the premier league in the past 4 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't everton get stuart barlow and Stefan rehn as his number 2

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 22:18:17
Forget Fellaini. i'm more concerned about moyes comin for Barkley!! Stay away moyes! Tell ya blues we got the real deal in this boy!

Believable17 Unbelievable12

Don't think he will. not yet good enough to get playing time in Man U 11 maybe in 2 seasons though. unless they buy him and loan back. remember moyes was careful handling him at efc why would that change if he took him to manu. so don't yet believe moyes is fully convinced. rodwell springs to mind. jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably the worst player on the pitch against Newcastle u21. Everton player that is

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't being 'careful' with him, he was being an person. A friend of mine knows Barkley, and apparently he hated Moyes because he was so reluctant to play him and was subsequently stalling his development. I would imagine he would probably want to stay at the club he supports to see what the new manager thinks of him, and if he doesn't get game time then, then you can expect to see him leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe its his big timecharlie attitude
drink thses shots an I give ya £500, big poser

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree m8, but moyes was saving him for utd?

Agree0 Disagree0

He isn't good enough yet for the Everton team. His all-round game needs work. Moyes wasn't holding him back, he just isn't there yet. (too weak off the ball and not good at tracking back according to the Sheff Wed fans I know)

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes dosnt rate barkley, even when were down to the bare bones he was reluctant to play him then sent him out on loan, barkley hasn't impressed me this yr either, I remember watching him the start of the previous season and he was are best player but he still makes bad descisions on the pitch

I was talking to my sisters boyfriends dog and he rekon mo johnston will be our next manager with pat nevin as his number 2 wot u rekon ed - who shall we all stop being negative and all agree martinez is the man for our club

dave

Believable12 Unbelievable14

Martinez! Are you serious? His team has just been thumped out of the top flight and you want him as our manager? There are other managers, don't be short sighted!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said dave.

bainsey buyin kev nolan house in woolton village, 3 doors away from redrum (suarez) and says he got no intention of moving clubs as his youngest kid is going to the school in quarry st woolton (private school) so everyone calm down

Believable22 Unbelievable5

Bainsey lives next door to me in formby, he is not moving house and his kids go to formby schools. He told me last week that everton will accept if the offer is in the region of £17 m. Expect him to go in June.

Agree0 Disagree0

Money talks mate. o an Manchester is 1000 miles away from Liverpool isn't it.
My point is he could still live in Liverpool an travel twenty miles to work in Manchester on a daily basis so don't rule out the switch to Manchester

Agree0 Disagree0

He would only really move to manchester. Moyes has this agreement with Kenwright and city have two decent right-backs.
His brother refs the minor leagues and I spoke to him after a game one time, and he said last january (2012) he had a move o arsenal, everything was done, personal terms and all, but he got cold feet. He's a scouser and his missus and his kids got to that school, as you said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kevin Nolans house is in Aigburth, nice try.

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

To the second poster If Bainsey lives next door to you mate. can you do me a favour. can you scrape a few quid together for bk as an investment into efc. we could do witha an injection :-). jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

Where they live means nothing, felli, howard, neville and more live on the outskirts of manchester

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 3rd reply, so what if city have 2 right backs, baines is a left back you moron

Agree0 Disagree0

Kev nolan actually got a house in woolton village as his wife works in alder hey and lives there and they go to that private school in quarry st. fact

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 21:59:46
seen duncan in woolton village before and asked him about a new manager, what's his thoughts and the man gave me 5 mins his time which he didn't need to, but did say moyes rates this man highly but didn't say his name to me, so it must be comin out after the chelsea, I think its mckay of cardiff as he smiled when I said his name, I even said what about him he said he'd love it but needs more experience first. coyb

Believable13 Unbelievable13

That was today 14/5/13 I seen him there by the elephant pub, belter of a man gave loads of people time and never refuseda photo either even though it was raining

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 22:12:45
seen him there outside the elephant pub

See him give that woamn £20 quid for a taxi with her little kid as she was waiting for the bus, what a guy. and it was raining

Ed is Di Santo's contract up this summer? If so do you think Martinez would sign him for us if he is appointed as manager?
Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - it is joe, but dont know if he would bring him mate.

Believable3 Unbelievable16

If he did I would sack him immediately!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Martinez will become Everton manager and we will start to hear more about it in the coming days now Wigan are relegated. I also think Callum McManaman will be the first signing.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Sydney syndey blue because I true that poster for some reason haha but seriously McManaman should never have been released anybody else think he looks like Joey Barton?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcmanaman, maloney and mcartur should all be brought to everton if martinez takes over

Agree0 Disagree0

McArthy would be better than McArthur

Agree0 Disagree0

Franco Di Santo, 14 goals in 138 games. I know centre backs with better records. Get a grip.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 21:41:12
Ed do you think we will have a new manager in place by this time next week and if not do you have any idea when it will be? {Ed025's Note - i would be guessing mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Didn't know you had a crystal ball and was friends with Doc Brown ed! {Ed025's Note - keep it quiet mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Pereira!

Agree0 Disagree0

The way we do things we will get an new manager at 10 pm on August 31st and expect him to sign 6 players to replace the ones we have lost. He will have about 5m to spend and if he doesn't it will have disappeared by January. Hope I am going to wake up from this nightmare soon.

Pereira to be named next manager? Bring atsu, defour and mangala with him? 3 positions we need to strengthen and could get cheaper. Please be pereira, in kenwright we trust! COYB

Believable19 Unbelievable8

Or Laudrup.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gus poyet

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Laudrup would be fantastic and that we should pull out all the stops for him. My opinion is a little swayed by the fact that he is one of the all time great players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez anyone? Surely we can't give him the job after he has just been relegated! Everton manager is a too job and only the best should be considered. Laudrup all the way for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pereira is the man for me, we need to go abroad now to spice our play up abit

Agree0 Disagree0

Pereira is my choice, would love too see him at us, bring a few players along and change our style of play, make ot more like the first goal against wedt ham but more often play like that. Coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Laudrup, but he would have to be an person to leave Swansea at the moment because he's got such a good thing going there; Martinez I like but I'm not convinced is good enough to take us further than we already have got; Poyet has impressed me in the lower leagues and I'd be happy with him as our manager. But the man I want above all others is Slaven Bilic, I just think he's the best fit for us and can definitely take us forward (maybe get the best out of Jelly again)

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a lot of people, understandibly, are jumping the gun here. We need to go for the manager that best suits our current situation and not many people know what that is. It's no good going for a stylish or attacking manager like Pereira or martinez if we need to consolidate next season (to prevent a backwards step). If Bill has found investment or has somehow squeezed some money from the bank (unlikely), then we are in a position to appoint an attacking manager or take a punt to take us to the next level. But if we are in the same position as the last few seasons maybe we need a manager who will consolidate and progress the club as Moyes has been doing, which may point to someone more in the ilk of MacKay. Only Bill and the rest of the board have the answer to this and they're not going to share this information because the money we have available will affect how much clubs demand for any players we go for, agent fees, wages etc. I don't know who I want as next manager, all I know is I don't want Lennon, Hughes, O'Neill or 'arry!

Agree0 Disagree0

Defour. that's a new one. zzzzzzz

Is it confirmed that Everton will be playing pre-season in Cape Town?

http://www.kickoff.com/news/33956/liverpool-newcastle-united-and-everton-set-for-cape-town-visit

African Evertonian {Ed025's Note - its certainly being considered mate..

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Believable2 Unbelievable29

14 May 2013 19:42:39
Moyes will give us Zaha on loan at the start of the next season.

Believable8 Unbelievable28

Moyes won't give us nothing because he knows how good we are

Agree0 Disagree0

He would has lots of respect for Everton

Agree0 Disagree0

We will get first refusel on any possible loan deals coming from Utd and I think he will be looking to loan out zaha and a few others. let's hope he wants to give Hernandez a year out on loan he would be just what we needed to push for Europe/trophy next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sick of hearing what Moyes is or isn't going to do, he should leave the club now, I don't get all these people wishing him luck, I hope he has about as much luck as he had while he was with us, ie none, why should we wish the rags any luck. i'm not being bitter with Moyes I don't wish any club other than my own 'good luck'.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree, Moyes has no respect for us, if he did he wouldn't be going to meetings with purple nose and giggs while he's still our manager, the sooner he goes the better, don't buy into his 'I was ready to sign a new contract', what a load of b*******, purple nose has stated he know from Oct that he was going to retire, d'ya think he didn't tell anyone at Man Utd, do you honestly believe Moyse didn't know anything and the deal was wrapped up so soon after the news was announced, I for one don't wish him or his team luck, I reserve that for our incoming Manager and my team.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he adopts same youth development as he did with us, he will loan out the whole squad. You don't need to blood youth players do you.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 19:00:28
anyone wants to read or sign petition to beatle paul you can access it on the bleacher report.com epl section on eveton newsletter just arrived in my box now. interesting wording

Believable13 Unbelievable10

What does it actually say because I can't find it on there?

Agree0 Disagree0

On web site TMZ sports and its asking for macca to buy the club and saying if the russian buys then fans won't buy merchandise or tickets for game. fans on strike etc its a good read but will scare russians off in my opinion a mess. its on tmz website just search for it in there then click and hey presto.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would anyone want to sign it Paul ain't in anyway a Everton fan he is worth half a billion that's nothin' in premier league terms

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 18:34:58
I can confirm that there is an agreement between Bill and David Moyes regarding all our players, that's to say he won't make an approach, that is unless another club make an acceptable offer for any of them. So if Chelsea come in for Fellaini and the figure is agreed then he can compete with that club for his signature.

I will also like to confirm that Martinez is set to be announced as Manager as soon as Wigan have finished playing this season. That's why nothing appears to be happening.

Believable15 Unbelievable17

You just saw the Dave Whelan interview?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 19:07:30
What happened on the Whelan interview mate

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

You can confirm a lot where's your substance?

Agree0 Disagree0

OP:

So what you are actually saying is,

WAFC get beat tonight and BK and Martinez will be shaking hands in front of the media in the morning or asap?

Blue247

Agree0 Disagree0

So basicly he can still bid in 4 r players ie jags fellaini an baines I really hope he dosent

Agree0 Disagree0

He can do what he wants, his contact is up we can't make him sign an agreement not to come in for our players. {Ed025's Note - i know, but rubbing our noses in it does seem unfair mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Back stabber springs to mind

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps we should be listed on the New York stock exchange and negate any such courtesy

Agree0 Disagree0

The first paragraph is from click manchester. In other words, a load of old cobblers. The second is merely a calculated guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely the eleven years Moyes has spent at Goodison Park have allowed us to know him a little better than people seem to suggest on here. I have no doubt that (even if there's no formal paperwork saying so) Moyes wouldn't come for one of our players unless it was with Bill Kenwright's blessing - when has Moyes ever used the media to unsettle a player? How many of you can remember a story emerging complaining about Moyes speaking to players before agreeing with his club first?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2013 20:55:49
All hype this. Martinez won't get any job in premier as he has taken wigan down. A no brainer.
Benitez or poyett, more likely candidates, or even
Steve Round with Irvine would be a good start for me. Round knows the set up, players, and must have learnt a lot under Moyes. Irvine was well respected at Everton. And would fit in perfectly. that's what I would like, And wouldn't cost the earth. Raz. What do you think ed

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 18:01:04
i would get a huge soldado in my pants if these rumours are true!

Believable22 Unbelievable3

Where are these soldado rumours actually coming from, signing players will not be on the agenda for bill kenwright at present, any funds we have available will be spent when we have a new manager, It has to be an ambitious appointment, someone who can move us forward, McKay, Lennon, Poyet are all too inexperienced, our squad is getting on, so we need a gaffer who doesn't need to be shown the ropes and can push us on , Martinez might be worth a gamble, but I'd be worried about his defensive naivety.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need pereira or laudrup, not some cheap alternative, they are the best up for grabs. They will also attract quality players, who is martinez going to attract? Kone? Whereas laudrup finds gems for cheap and quality, just like moyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm warming to the idea of Slaven Billic,

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Laudrup up for grabs? I thought he had a £10m clause in his deal. Also, Laudrup doesn't have a great track record of staying anywhere too long, he's on his 5th team in 11 yrs and has only stayed at one of those clubs longer than a season. He isn't the man to bring stability.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pereira is the most successful and he is looking to go prem? Out of contract and is unbeaten this year and won the league last year

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 17:21:33
andrei kanchelskis anyone? {Ed025's Note - thats out of the blue mate..

Believable11 Unbelievable12

14 May 2013 17:55:26
Slaven bilic?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave Bassett? Barry Fry? {Ed025's Note - bertie basset, stephen fry?..why do people just throw random names in?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bassett and Fry-managerial dream team if ever I've seen one. Just as likely as Andrei Kanchelskis :)

My sister has just told me that someone gas put big money on Stubbs to be next manager. It's a risk but worth a go, he loves everton. Put some money on it also. Don

Believable2 Unbelievable24

I also asked my dog to bark once to stubbs getting the job and bark twice twice to not getting the job he barked twice, so i'm going to believe him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please no, he has no experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read on the tv website that Kendal is backing big Dunc and thinks he's perfect for the job and popular with the fans. Popular with the fans maybe but is he up to the job, any takers on this 1.

Al

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard the same thing from a close friend Stubbs wants it, his wages are cheap an he's free.

Agree0 Disagree0

If stubbs or ferguson get the job it proves what a tight arse s***house bk and all his cronies really are. We should be able to attract a very good manager, we are a big club so we should not forget that and get palmed off with some person like hughes, lennon, o'neil etc
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

If the fact stubbsy wages are cheap and he is free, somes up the expectations of some evertonians, god help the club! I believe we will get a progressive experienced manager like Martinez by end of May!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 16:12:38
Heard that bk is talking to hiddink with Cahill as his number 2, might explain his presence at the game {Ed025's Note - i think your miles out mate..

Believable10 Unbelievable25

Tim Cahill as our number 2? Get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you honestly think he was only at the game because of this stupid rumour? give yourself a slap!
he was there to support one of his best friends neville and the manager he played under for a long time and to say goodbye to the fans because he never got to last summer

Agree0 Disagree0

HIDDINK AND CAHILL?? LOL {Ed025's Note - it will be chas and dave next :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Is O. P on holiday, basking in the hot sun and enjoying a few sherbets. sun and sangria clouding his judgement me thinks :-). that's about as strange a suggestion as I have heard so far (including my own nomination). I'll give the man 1500-1 on that one. jlaff {Ed025's Note - im in benidorm myself tomorrow jlaff...i will take him some tablets over :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I can just see you now Ed, whizzing down the promenade on your mobility scooter.
Domo {Ed025's Note - not far off the truth that domo,, :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Crazy as the OP sounds, Hiddink has refused an extension in Moscow, is leaving at the end of the season and has said he is not ready to retire yet, he knows TC well through coaching the socceroo's and who better to have as No2 at Everton if TC is interested in going into coaching? A totally off the wall suggestion I agree but one I would be happy with if it happened. Providing of course I survived the heart attack when the news was announced!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 18:49:47
Its a sad comment on the contributors to this site the Everton Motto is Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, Everton should be looking for the best available coach and Hiddink is just about the best and available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well let's see how much BK is willing to contribute to Guss retirement fund. unless. how about this for a conspiracy theory?. This russian investor is for real and has already touted gus for the job. answers on a postcard please. especially if you're off to benidorm. jlaff {Ed025's Note - love it mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 23:51:48
Well you're clearly not in the know if you think the investor is Russian.

Agree0 Disagree0

WOW. I put Hiddink forward a few days back as somebody I thought would do a good job based on what he achieved with Aussie team. Didn't seriously think we would be in for him and still don't, it is surprising that he pops up now. Seems to me somebody has hijacked my suggestion and tried to make up something needs work to be believable though

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 16:06:13
BK has said we will save 10m on moyes, as laudrup or pereira are the best choices quality wise, I would use the money to get one of them.

Believable23 Unbelievable2

Pereira is out of contract in a few weeks so we wouldn't have to pay compensation

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd go for Pereira as he's out of contract this summer. The money would be better spent on players. A couple of players and we can close the gap further still on the top 4. {Ed025's Note - im going for jlaff..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't have anyone else as manager though, if we want top 4 we need top 4 managing quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Get pereira he's free! PKBLUE

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman is being linked with the soon to be vacant manager's job at Everton.

Former Scotland striker Freedman is currently in charge at Bolton and guided the Trotters to a 7th placed finish in the Championship, narrowly missing out on a place in the play-offs.

The 38 year old is now being linked with a move away from the Reebok Stadium and could reportedly be a target for Everton after it was confirmed manager David Moyes would be leaving the club.

Dixon544

Believable8 Unbelievable28

He's got the job it all done and he's bring his own back room staff 50/1 get on it {Ed025's Note - hmmm..

Agree0 Disagree0

Could have some mileage this I was at the bookies the other day to put a bet on him and they said there's a lot of money going on him!

Agree0 Disagree0

F. g hope not

Agree0 Disagree0

Total and utter wind up, please ignore!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 13:31:24
Just read on the newsnow site that moye and kenwright have an agreement in place which means moyes won't come in with an offer for baines and felly! Also everton are confident they will both be with everton next season!
Really hope this true! You heard anything ed? {Ed025's Note - no mate..

Believable17 Unbelievable6

Yes but that means nothing if they put in transfer requests then man u can step in and buy them

Agree0 Disagree0

Well even if that's the case they could soon go elsewhere especially felleni so if these players ar to go I would rather they went to man utd

Agree0 Disagree0

He just wants to take Jags

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 14:22:39
Reports suggest Moyes and Kenwright have a gentlemans agreement that Moyes won't try to unsettle/sign current Everton players.

Popeye

Believable25 Unbelievable5

They also had a gentlemans agreement nothing would be done regarding moyes's contract til the season ended

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2013 13:19:09
Being reported that Poyet has said he has taken Brighton as far as he can and could be in line for us. What do you reckon lads? I think he could be a good shout.

Believable6 Unbelievable20

I think the fact you say "he has taken Brighton as far as he can" sums it up really, he fails at promotion this year so we should sign him as he is ready to quit! Is that the sort of determination we want in a manager?!

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't want a man who builds a team that is capable at competing for promotion but then quits at the first failure. We need a 'determined winner' not an 'almost made it' kind of man. In truth the list of managers that would be good for us is small, I would like Pereira or Laudrup or Martinez/Mackay at a stretch but really I am hoping for BK to surprise us and make a statement of intent which for me he won't do with Lennon, Poyet etc.

dont shoot the messenger but I have just been told by the same person who told me Moyes was going to Man u 2 days before it it was even mentioned, that BK first choice is Michael Laudrup.
He is the one he wants and he has made contact.
he has 14 months left on his contract so compo may not be massive.
TBH I would be made up if we got him.
He is a born winner and plays brilliant football.
He is also a world known figure who could attract the right players.
if BK can pull this off I think most blues would be happy.
I don't envy BK right now. THis is a massive call to make and I hope he gets it right.

He'd do for me.

5 to 10 million compo for michael laudrop may be out of our price range

Agree0 Disagree0

And if he can have a good 2/3 years with us, he will move on, I think he's playing stepping stones, I like him but don't see him in for the long haul!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good manager, but check his record, 18 months tops everywhere. 5 clubs and he's only 40 odd. Panathanaikos wouldn't take him because he insisted on a clause saying he could leave if a spanish club came in for him. Only signed a 2 year contract at Swansea. A fly by nighter with an eye on the better options. In the same boat in 18 months with all his purchases. think I'd prefer a bit more stability. JP

Agree0 Disagree0

£5m buy out clause in his current contract should not be a stumbling block. I am sure there will be money to spend this season and a good manager like laudrup is worth much more than a £5m player

Agree0 Disagree0

Would like to see Laudrup at Goodison think he would be a terrific signing, big boost for fans and players alike. Hopefully he can see he has done wonders with Swansea and went beyond all expectations in such a short space of time, therefore moving away from them would not be such a wrench. If he was offered the position and he did accept the job, I can honestly see us all discussing exactly the same topics 2 maybe 3 seasons from now, don`t think he is one for the long haul. If he is approached and refuses then BK finds himself looking to appoint a 2nd choice manager, won`t sit too well with him. Really tough time for luvvie Bill, good luck to him, rest assured he has EFC interests to the fore of any and all decisions he makes. Good luck Bill.

Well I've just had a little flutter at 25/1.
hopefully we can appoint the new manager soon and whoever it is will get the fantastic support like we gave on sunday.
Unbelievable atmosphere, even the main stand joined in!.

So why did he just sign a new contract with Swansea?

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be a great signing but if and its a big if, he took us forward then one of Euro giants would surely step in and I couldn't see him saying no

Agree0 Disagree0

I go with JP their, good post, But I still think Moyes will be back in 4 years

when was we linked to soldado?
he is apparently worried over a move to us but I dnt remember ever being linked to him. I may be wrong like but I hope if we have got 10 mill to spend on a striker we look past him and toward a young lad who is willing to fight for the team, some1 like benteke or lukaku big strong and full of goals!

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Some people are never happy are they. We're linked with a Spanish international striker, who's a prolific goalscorer, for £10m yet that's not good enough it has to be someone worth £15-20m as Benteke and Lukaku surely are. I'm sure some won't be happy until we're bankrupt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you mental? This guy averages better than 1 in 2 in Spain, probably the best league there is! Snap there hand off for ten million. If anything it sounds too good to be true!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be hard on the guy he's most probably been brought up on the moyes tradition of big, physical and strong strikers, so not used to small, nippy, quick skillful strikers. bring it on I say.

Agree0 Disagree0

Benteke will go for way over £10 million so forget him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Soldado right now, is probably the best spanish striker, he has been on great form for the last three years and was really robbed of a spot on the spanish national team at the euros. for 10m I would snatch him up without a second thought

Just heard a rumour from a lad in my school who's uncle is Stubbs, is that Stubbs has said he will accept an wants the job if offered. But he is certain that it is between Martinez or Di Matteo. On the transfer hand fee I still wanted and draggovic

I hope this is BS. How would a manager untested at any level be able to take us to the next level? BlueTone

Paper talk reporting that we are interested in a 10m move for Soldado from Valencia but he is stalling because he is unsure whether the new manager will want him.

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Soldado will not be joining Everton. Especially if they sell Fellaini and Baines. With Falcao going to Monaco Atletico are looking for a new striker Soldado is on their list.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we be interested in a striker when we don't even have a manager? it will be down to the new manager to decide who we want

They've got Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Smalling and Jones - why would they need another centre back?

What do you want if we take martinez we will expect him to bring there best players its the way it is

Yeah what pAper reporting that the sun u must bbe mad to believe that bullocks

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately this happens, I'm a chef and when I have moved on to bigger jobs I have taken my best chefs with me, that's life but you are reading to much into it I would expect moyes to try and take a couple of players with him, we have to move on as a club now and build for future players like jags and baines there value is not going to get any higher as they are in later stages of career so we either sell and get some money Into club or we keep them and risk getting nothing they can't go on forever

Agree0 Disagree0

I no yea uve done a great job at everton but cum on moyes don't do the dirty on us an steel r best players
