Just read there that Glwady street school is to be relocated and the site has been offered to the club don't know if allowed name the site it was on grand old team under the heading new main stand I know it could be rubbish but have you heard anything on this ed it also mentioned something about the surrounding houses there as I said somebody posted it and gave a reply when questioned on it could be a wind up though. Stef the blue

If it is true we could build the same as we have on goodison road, will bump us up to 50k atleast

That was mentioned years ago tbh! But nothing came of it.

Also a little point has anyone noticed that, walton van sales yard is very empty too looks like that's relocated, hmmm only 2 rows of home too never know blues this could be the start to our new ground,

Wouldn't we have to buy up all the houses in the area as the school only covers half of the bullens road, with the rest consisting of dwellings?

A redevelopment of the Bullens and The Street end would surely give us enough capacity. When you look at The Bullens so few Houses would have to be Compulsory Purchased its a no brainer if The school is relocating!

I was looking down Goodison Road the other day. If the club bought the Wilmslow there are not many other shops occupied down there. They could knock them down to build a new main stand.

People forget the park end can also have a second tier put on, which was the original plan I believe.

To redevelop Goodison would be a massive undertaking. I am no designer but it would surely see us need to use an alternative facility to get the work done as quickly as possible. Using an improved footprint around the ground, would be in many ways, morecin keeping with our traditions and history. As nice and appealing a brown field development can look good imagine going to a game with no independent chippy near the ground etc etc. I would love to think Goodison could be sensitively redeveloped but at what cost compared to a clean site.

If you can see Wilmslow from Goodison Road you must have great eyesight even from the roof of the main stand that takes some doing.
From what I here the Park End was a cowboy job and is close to collapse underneath.

With regards to the above post about the Wilmslow pub I don't know why everton don't buy it and open it on match days.

Forget Fellaini. i'm more concerned about moyes comin for Barkley!! Stay away moyes! Tell ya blues we got the real deal in this boy!

Don't think he will. not yet good enough to get playing time in Man U 11 maybe in 2 seasons though. unless they buy him and loan back. remember moyes was careful handling him at efc why would that change if he took him to manu. so don't yet believe moyes is fully convinced. rodwell springs to mind. jlaff

He wasn't being 'careful' with him, he was being an person. A friend of mine knows Barkley, and apparently he hated Moyes because he was so reluctant to play him and was subsequently stalling his development. I would imagine he would probably want to stay at the club he supports to see what the new manager thinks of him, and if he doesn't get game time then, then you can expect to see him leave.

He isn't good enough yet for the Everton team. His all-round game needs work. Moyes wasn't holding him back, he just isn't there yet. (too weak off the ball and not good at tracking back according to the Sheff Wed fans I know)

Moyes dosnt rate barkley, even when were down to the bare bones he was reluctant to play him then sent him out on loan, barkley hasn't impressed me this yr either, I remember watching him the start of the previous season and he was are best player but he still makes bad descisions on the pitch

Bainsey lives next door to me in formby, he is not moving house and his kids go to formby schools. He told me last week that everton will accept if the offer is in the region of £17 m. Expect him to go in June.

Money talks mate. o an Manchester is 1000 miles away from Liverpool isn't it.
My point is he could still live in Liverpool an travel twenty miles to work in Manchester on a daily basis so don't rule out the switch to Manchester

He would only really move to manchester. Moyes has this agreement with Kenwright and city have two decent right-backs.
His brother refs the minor leagues and I spoke to him after a game one time, and he said last january (2012) he had a move o arsenal, everything was done, personal terms and all, but he got cold feet. He's a scouser and his missus and his kids got to that school, as you said.

Ed is Di Santo's contract up this summer? If so do you think Martinez would sign him for us if he is appointed as manager?

I think Martinez will become Everton manager and we will start to hear more about it in the coming days now Wigan are relegated. I also think Callum McManaman will be the first signing.

I think Laudrup would be fantastic and that we should pull out all the stops for him. My opinion is a little swayed by the fact that he is one of the all time great players.

Martinez anyone? Surely we can't give him the job after he has just been relegated! Everton manager is a too job and only the best should be considered. Laudrup all the way for me.

Pereira is the man for me, we need to go abroad now to spice our play up abit

Pereira is my choice, would love too see him at us, bring a few players along and change our style of play, make ot more like the first goal against wedt ham but more often play like that. Coyb

I like Laudrup, but he would have to be an person to leave Swansea at the moment because he's got such a good thing going there; Martinez I like but I'm not convinced is good enough to take us further than we already have got; Poyet has impressed me in the lower leagues and I'd be happy with him as our manager. But the man I want above all others is Slaven Bilic, I just think he's the best fit for us and can definitely take us forward (maybe get the best out of Jelly again)

I think a lot of people, understandibly, are jumping the gun here. We need to go for the manager that best suits our current situation and not many people know what that is. It's no good going for a stylish or attacking manager like Pereira or martinez if we need to consolidate next season (to prevent a backwards step). If Bill has found investment or has somehow squeezed some money from the bank (unlikely), then we are in a position to appoint an attacking manager or take a punt to take us to the next level. But if we are in the same position as the last few seasons maybe we need a manager who will consolidate and progress the club as Moyes has been doing, which may point to someone more in the ilk of MacKay. Only Bill and the rest of the board have the answer to this and they're not going to share this information because the money we have available will affect how much clubs demand for any players we go for, agent fees, wages etc. I don't know who I want as next manager, all I know is I don't want Lennon, Hughes, O'Neill or 'arry!

What does it actually say because I can't find it on there?

On web site TMZ sports and its asking for macca to buy the club and saying if the russian buys then fans won't buy merchandise or tickets for game. fans on strike etc its a good read but will scare russians off in my opinion a mess. its on tmz website just search for it in there then click and hey presto.

Why would anyone want to sign it Paul ain't in anyway a Everton fan he is worth half a billion that's nothin' in premier league terms

i would get a huge soldado in my pants if these rumours are true!

Where are these soldado rumours actually coming from, signing players will not be on the agenda for bill kenwright at present, any funds we have available will be spent when we have a new manager, It has to be an ambitious appointment, someone who can move us forward, McKay, Lennon, Poyet are all too inexperienced, our squad is getting on, so we need a gaffer who doesn't need to be shown the ropes and can push us on , Martinez might be worth a gamble, but I'd be worried about his defensive naivety.

We need pereira or laudrup, not some cheap alternative, they are the best up for grabs. They will also attract quality players, who is martinez going to attract? Kone? Whereas laudrup finds gems for cheap and quality, just like moyes.

I'm warming to the idea of Slaven Billic,

Is Laudrup up for grabs? I thought he had a £10m clause in his deal. Also, Laudrup doesn't have a great track record of staying anywhere too long, he's on his 5th team in 11 yrs and has only stayed at one of those clubs longer than a season. He isn't the man to bring stability.

Pereira is the most successful and he is looking to go prem? Out of contract and is unbeaten this year and won the league last year

My sister has just told me that someone gas put big money on Stubbs to be next manager. It's a risk but worth a go, he loves everton. Put some money on it also. Don

I also asked my dog to bark once to stubbs getting the job and bark twice twice to not getting the job he barked twice, so i'm going to believe him.

Just read on the tv website that Kendal is backing big Dunc and thinks he's perfect for the job and popular with the fans. Popular with the fans maybe but is he up to the job, any takers on this 1.

I've heard the same thing from a close friend Stubbs wants it, his wages are cheap an he's free.

If stubbs or ferguson get the job it proves what a tight arse s***house bk and all his cronies really are. We should be able to attract a very good manager, we are a big club so we should not forget that and get palmed off with some person like hughes, lennon, o'neil etc

BK has said we will save 10m on moyes, as laudrup or pereira are the best choices quality wise, I would use the money to get one of them.

Pereira is out of contract in a few weeks so we wouldn't have to pay compensation

I'd go for Pereira as he's out of contract this summer. The money would be better spent on players. A couple of players and we can close the gap further still on the top 4. {Ed025's Note - im going for jlaff..

I wouldn't have anyone else as manager though, if we want top 4 we need top 4 managing quality

Just read on the newsnow site that moye and kenwright have an agreement in place which means moyes won't come in with an offer for baines and felly! Also everton are confident they will both be with everton next season!

Being reported that Poyet has said he has taken Brighton as far as he can and could be in line for us. What do you reckon lads? I think he could be a good shout.

I think the fact you say "he has taken Brighton as far as he can" sums it up really, he fails at promotion this year so we should sign him as he is ready to quit! Is that the sort of determination we want in a manager?!

We don't want a man who builds a team that is capable at competing for promotion but then quits at the first failure. We need a 'determined winner' not an 'almost made it' kind of man. In truth the list of managers that would be good for us is small, I would like Pereira or Laudrup or Martinez/Mackay at a stretch but really I am hoping for BK to surprise us and make a statement of intent which for me he won't do with Lennon, Poyet etc.

when was we linked to soldado?
he is apparently worried over a move to us but I dnt remember ever being linked to him. I may be wrong like but I hope if we have got 10 mill to spend on a striker we look past him and toward a young lad who is willing to fight for the team, some1 like benteke or lukaku big strong and full of goals!

Some people are never happy are they. We're linked with a Spanish international striker, who's a prolific goalscorer, for £10m yet that's not good enough it has to be someone worth £15-20m as Benteke and Lukaku surely are. I'm sure some won't be happy until we're bankrupt.

Are you mental? This guy averages better than 1 in 2 in Spain, probably the best league there is! Snap there hand off for ten million. If anything it sounds too good to be true!

Don't be hard on the guy he's most probably been brought up on the moyes tradition of big, physical and strong strikers, so not used to small, nippy, quick skillful strikers. bring it on I say.

Benteke will go for way over £10 million so forget him.

Soldado right now, is probably the best spanish striker, he has been on great form for the last three years and was really robbed of a spot on the spanish national team at the euros. for 10m I would snatch him up without a second thought

Paper talk reporting that we are interested in a 10m move for Soldado from Valencia but he is stalling because he is unsure whether the new manager will want him.

Soldado will not be joining Everton. Especially if they sell Fellaini and Baines. With Falcao going to Monaco Atletico are looking for a new striker Soldado is on their list.

Why would we be interested in a striker when we don't even have a manager? it will be down to the new manager to decide who we want
