Everton after liverpool target Christian eriksen from Ajax. It's seen to be our main target after Honda is ac Milan bound. Would be a fantastic signing if we could pull this one off

Believable7 Unbelievable18

Good one were only 20m short

Agree2 Disagree0

Never going to happen

Agree1 Disagree0

Agreed but can't see it, he would cost around £15-£20m.

Agree2 Disagree0

And if he won't sign. There's always Messi or Neymar. File this one under. 'Not in a million years'.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is in the final year of his contract. Where u getting 15-20mil from. 10 mil at most

Agree0 Disagree0

If he signed I'm pretty sure I'd cum in my pants x

everton give united a deadline to buy fellaini 23.5 million

Believable7 Unbelievable13

Unsigned OP containing an unsupported dodgy rumour.

Agree1 Disagree0

They have not given a deadline his release clause is up in a months time which puts the ball back in our court as we can turn down bids

Agree2 Disagree1

Everyone have to meet the deadline to buy him at the get out clause value

martinez looking at hooper 5 million deal

Believable8 Unbelievable16

Hmmm. Not sure about this one. If the OP is proved right, then well done! If not, then it was still a good rumour to float :-)

14 Jul 2013 19:22:48
My wife is friendly with Coleen and she would like him to go back to everton I bet you he will stay at utd and run his contract down so we should see him return next season or year after but one thing is for sure he will don that blue shirt again how fitting would it be to lift a trophy for his boyhood club also the only thing that stands in the way is us fans we have have him a hard time everytime he comes to goodison so maybe we should make him feel welcome without it effecting our performance

Believable15 Unbelievable13

No name on the OP, so why believe this?
Besides, if I was a professional footballer (nowhere near talented or dedicated - or these days fit - enough!), I'd be very unhappy if "alleged" friends were gossiping about my situation. Just makes the OP all the more unlikely.

Agree1 Disagree0

There's also the small matter of £250,000 per week salary to cover. No biggy

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wins us trophies then why not?

Agree0 Disagree0

You obviously haven't been sitting in the Park End year after year watching him kiss his beloved United badge at every opportunity. no ta.

Agree2 Disagree0

No chance as long as he's got a united shirt on he's one of them, I was at old Trafford when he kissed the united badge it nearly made me vomit, if and a big if he comes back he has to earn that back not require it so he comes back

Agree1 Disagree0

This is defiantly Rooney, he doesn't want us booing him anymore so comes on here to make himself look good ;)

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one would welcome rooney back home, once a blue always a blue, just because u play for another team, it doesn't mean u love that team

Not bothered about pre season results to be honest yes it's nice to win games but honestly people will be saying Martinez out next Manchester United and city lost as well give it a rest we probably played most players that won't be starting 11 anyway first game of season is when results matter

Believable16 Unbelievable2

I pretty much agree with what's in the OP. Just wish posters would leave their name - especially registered posters since their names are highlighted in blue and are therefore the genuine named poster.

14 Jul 2013 19:13:54
Apparently we have made 2 bids of 12 million for 2 players I can smell it already bull yep you guessed the next word

Believable7 Unbelievable15

Name the players and I'll be more inclined to believe this.

To read some posts criticising the performances in today's first pre-season match it seems IMHO that those posters have overlooked the fact that it was just that: the first pre-season match. Sure, some players made mistakes and some looked off the pace, but a few of the U-21 players got some time on the pitch and there were some good/promising performances - Gibson, Kennedy, Oviedo, and Grant - amongst the general rustiness. Add in the fact also that the players were having their first competitive/proper (well sort of) match with Roberto Martinez having made a few adjustments to the shape of the team and the tactics. I expect it to take the remainder of pre-season for those changes to bed in. On top of that, we've several other players - senior and youngsters - to become available for he rest of the pre-season. It's great to win matches, but pre-season is about fitness, team-gelling, patterns of play, etc. , in readiness for the "real" matches during the season. Once a blue, always a blue!

Believable11 Unbelievable3

Hey

Exactly, the voice of reason prevails.

Mart

Agree0 Disagree0

Sid, rember that word "gel" your about to hear it a lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ooh-er! Was the "gel" comment a double-entendre?

Considering Vienna start their league campaign next week a 2-1 defeat wasn't a bad result considering their was always going to b a difference in fitness on a positive note Joel had a decent game can c him pushing Howard for the number 1 shirt

Believable11 Unbelievable2

I agree about Joel pushing Howard for the first-team place. Howard is contracted until June 2016, but I wouldn't be surprised if he moves on before then if he has lost his place. Also, as it's the World Cup finals next summer, how will he take it if he's not first choice for his club this season? Would he still be the USA first choice?

we have bid 12 million for james mcarthy

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Hope not, just another charlie adam, an ok season in a s**** team

Agree1 Disagree1

He's a decent player, but come on he's worth no more than 5 million, apparently Mr Whelan wants 20 what a joke, stay clear in my opinion. No more Wigan players!

Agree1 Disagree0

And the fa wants us all to buy british players wake up and smell the coffee look how much they want for Ince 8million and mirralas cost us 5/6 million say no more

Agree0 Disagree0

Still not worth that what with plenty of better players out there for that money.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's Irish not British and he's been playing really well at international level hen given the chance by crapatoni this guy would be a future Everton legend

Very sloppy performance today

Believable7 Unbelievable8

That's a nice way to put it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey

Put things into perspective for f sake. They are 10 days short of starting their season, far ahead in terms of pre season training and a Champions League team. We played many youngsters including Velios (about time) and he scored and I hope he gets hos chance.

Pre season is about experimenting and not about results.

Mart

Agree2 Disagree0

Feck me, it was a warm up game (fitness) against the champions of Austria who start the defence of their title next week. Our first game back with several youngsters playing, several first teamers away and the rest running off their holiday beer bellies.
If we look like this with a week to go to the season then is the time to start criticising, not now.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with the replies from Mart and others. Let's keep things in perspective.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Jul 2013 19:04:02
Whoopee doo, the Champions of Austria, ok we where sloppy today fair enough, and its the first warm up game, but don't make it sound like we've been playing Barcelona, it doesn't mean they're good because they're in CL

Agree0 Disagree3

Still though, you can be as bias as you like that's the first defeat. would've been nice to start with a win, even 1-0 would've done. Get used to it lads, said all along this fella will take us close, if not down. He will hopefully be gone by Christmas, although we are now a going to become a bit of a laughing stock so not sure who will be next in. let's hope someone better can save us!

Agree0 Disagree4

'Whoopee doo'! Apologies I can't compete with the quality and maturity of riposte right there.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hey

Some people just don't get it!

Mart

Agree2 Disagree0

To the unnamed poster saying that RM will take us down: yawn! If you left a name, I'd be more inclined to a least respect your view even if I don't agree with you {Ed025's Note - people like that make me cringe at times sid, he needs to get a grip..

Agree1 Disagree0

Why all the need for defending the team?. The lad only said it was a sloppy performance-which it was. No need to get carried away!

Agree0 Disagree1

Hey

All very well, but where is the balance?

Mart

Agree1 Disagree0

You are entitled to your views but seriously we are going to struggle. everyone is smiling and saying the right things but we are going to struggle. He hasn't got a clue. I don't want to go on about it and spread doom and gloom but rather than saying get a grip to me take a good look at what we are and what is on the horizon. All I am saying is its going to be very tough.

Agree0 Disagree1

To the poster who wrote, "it's going to be tough", I also believe that everyone is entitled to express their views - albeit within the realms of some decency - but posters who don't (or won't) leave their names lose some credibility IMHO. My name is obviously made up, but others recognise my posts when the name is highlighted in blue at the end of a post.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cowpat why do you get credibility for leaving your name, are you going to research them like to find out if in your opinion there worthy enough to comment? its all about opinions you don't have to agree with them, you can even argue with them about there point but the name thing doesn't make a jot of difference, unless you think you should be only allowed to comment because your a regular?

Didn't watch today ed. How did we play. Efc10810 {Ed025's Note - i have been out all day, sorry..

Believable0 Unbelievable9

Lost against a poor side so not that great I would have thought.

Agree0 Disagree2

Three league points went at stake; progressing to the next round of a cup competition wasn't at stake; it wasn't a cup final with a trophy win at stake. It was a pre-season game, so move on.
I'm sure that RM will analyse the performance, make any necessary adjustments, and move on with his pre-season work.

Everton on the brink of signing highly rated brazil born jorginho
great prospect!

Believable6 Unbelievable23

What team does he play for {Ed052's Note - Verona}

Agree0 Disagree0

Too expensive and too lightweight

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar and hazard are pretty small. So is David silva. Oh Anderson not forget about messi. Size doesn't mean anything. If your good enough your good enough

Agree1 Disagree0

No his not to expensive I heard that to we on the brink signing him

Agree0 Disagree1

Since when has lightweight meant small?

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times have you watched him?

Roberto Martinez has enquired about Feyenoord winger Tonny Vilhena. Valencia, Real Sociedad, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven also monitoring the classy 18 year old though he has told his agent he has no intention of staying in Holland. Fee is believed to be in the £4 million region.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

He's a centre mid, not winger. Great prospect though.

Rolando, Diame, Honda seem the most likely in my eyes. 13. 5- 16 million. We will replace any player we sell. If Baines and Fellaini go, we will make atleast 2 massive signings as we intend to reinvest any potential transfer income back into the team with immediate effect. It will be devestating if we sell felli and baines but big names will come.

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Only Diame and maximum 5m. one enough. No need massive signing reason is we should keep Felli and bainsey here.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to progress, which means we need to add. We need more quality if we are to get champions league football.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you think of that ed? {Ed025's Note - seems a bit far fetched to me mate..

Does anyone know what time the Austria game is today? Had a look round and everywhere says 'TBC', but bearing in mind it's TODAY, it's should have been confirmed by now. Not going to pay for it if I don't even know if I'll be able to catch it. {Ed025's Note - 4 pm it says mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

4. 00 local time that's 5. 00 uk time

I think its 5pm our time though Ed, that what it says on the sky football app

Anyone else heard that Fellaini is supposed to be not bothered about leaving. Looks like he wants to give it one more season with us if he can play in his preferred CM role rather than as a striker. I'd personally take the £££

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Fellaini is a class act I'd rather keep him, he can play his DF mid role no we have more attacking options. Who's better than him that we could buy for 24 million he would go for?

Dixie 1878

Agree0 Disagree0

If felli stays and is played dm there is no1 better in his position in our league. I wouldn't take the money. and even is buyout is met it up to him if he goes. guess we just have to wait and see what happens

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think he's said he's ever wanted to leave though? Of course, he'll eventually leave for CL football; but who could blame him for leaving to a bigger club if his clause is met.

Agree0 Disagree0

I haven't heard or read anything "official" like that. Where did the unnamed OP hear (read) it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Felleni is class and can't see many teams winning the midfield battle against us with him in as long as he is happy to stay would not sell him as can't replace his quality for less than 25 million

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 23:52:23
hi ed how many more players would you expect to sign for us

blue daz {Ed025's Note - 2..

Believable5 Unbelievable3

My guess will defintely be jorginho and the other be from mcmanaman mCathy moses

Leighton Baines is reported to be ready to sign a new deal at Everton if the Blues reject Manchester United’s next bid for his services.
The Mirror has claimed that United are ready to put together a final “take it or leave it” bid for the England left back of around £12m, a bid which will almost certainly be rejected by the Blues.
Baines will not push for a transfer away from Everton, and is more than happy to stay at Goodison Park and continue to raise awareness that it’s not just the “Sky Four” players who deserve a chance to go to a World Cup.
Should Baines sign an extended deal at Everton, many Blues will think he has become the most important signing of Roberto Martinez‘s short time at the club.

Think it does Ed, It was discussed on TS this morning stating Moyes got it put in so we ont have another late Lescott drama mate

Degs

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes mate it does

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh if we don't have a date then it would mean we were vulnerable to an 11th hour bid and have to accept it without time to find a replacement. The expiry date prevents this. I would hope there is one

AussieBlue

I have also read this somewhere, it stated any bids receive from August 15 onward could not activate this clause. EVERTONPAUL
