Is this young guy any good, does he have any promise, being let go by 2 fairly large clubs makes me think there must have been a reason why they let him go?

Agree1 Disagree1

If Moyes goes to Tottenham, what do people think of Chris Hughton for manager?

He did brilliantly at Newcastle, and has done even better at Birmingham. He's got the players really trying for him and the club, to the point where a club financially badly off club are challenging for promotion.

Believable6 Unbelievable17

If moyes does go the people we need in are phil neville and davy weir. No big name managers and people who no the situation at everton and understand the work ethic required for EFC. Before all that we need to know whats going to happen to Straq Drenthe and pienaar can we afford all three?

Peter Reid

Andy grey no's football inside out I think he would be a great boss but moyes loves Everton an I would not change him for any other boss on the planet

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy Gray! Do me a favour! He's a football pundit not a manager. Would Richard Keys be his assistant?

Chris Hughton, Paul Lambert, Brendan Rodgers etc Young and British is the way forward.

Saying all this hopefully Moyes doesnt leave.

Yeah, I love Moyes too, and wouldn't want him to go under any circumstances. I just put this post on to get people talking about it.

When he came, Moyes was a rated young coach who had performed wonders at a small club with little/no money. He came to Everton and has performed wonders at a big club with little/no money. If he does go, we'll need someone similar.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think chris was treated realy bad at newcastle although alan pardew came in and done well chris would have done the same job if not better given the same backing, hes gone to birmingham who were a shambles and worked wonders if he manages to get them promoted for me he would be manager of the year like moyes he gets the most out of limeted players who realy put a shift in for him he may not be a big name manager but neither was moyse when we took a gamble on him so i say give him a go if we loose moysie......yours tristen goldberg the third

Agree0 Disagree0

David Moyes is too cautious for Tottenham.....
He's brilliant for Everton but would not be suited to the more attcking clubs... ( Arsenal, United, City, Spurs..... etc )
Where as Chelsea on the other hand would be a perfect fit for Moyes.

I'm not an everton fan but have huge respect and admiration for Moyes.

Good luck for the remainder of the season.

Agree1 Disagree1

Moyes won't leave Everton for Spurs, the only job he would consider at the moment is Man United when Fergie retires.

As for Hughton, I don't rate him myself - very good coach, but I don't think he has all the attributes for a premier league manager (at the moment at least); in particular his tactical knowledge and transfer history

Agree1 Disagree1

Sheedy will be my choice

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree that Tottenham is not a good fit for Moyes. Moyes likes to play a defensive, hard working, graft out a result, whereas Spurs have always played good football with a bit of flair.

Also, think Spurs would be looking for a manager who has a bit more "big game" experience, and by that I mean they have won leagues, cups, managed in the CL, someone with experience.

I think Moyes will stay, to me, the next destination for him would probably be someone like Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree0

If david moyes did go i would like to see Brendan Rodgers come in charge of Everton Swansea are playing really good football

Agree1 Disagree1

For me Paul lambert or Ian holloway both managers who get the best out of their players

Agree1 Disagree1

To the guy who said Andy grey was a pundit yes he was a pundit he got paid by sky tv to annylis football teams football managers an most important of all annylis football players and formations an tactics an he done it day in day out and if you go back ten years before moyes took charge Andy grey was touted for the job then an he was working for sky as a pundit then an was under contract with sky that bein the only reason he could not take the job at that time but all the managers mentioned on this site so far are all crap none of them have done nothin really Andy grey has forgot moor about football than all these guys no rite now put together so no I wont do you a favor none of them guys you said are fit to manage Everton an they have not got half the knowledge Andy grey has {Ed025's Note - andy gray bottled it mate.. he was touted for the job, but decided that life in a cushy heated studio was preferable to the arduous task of steering the blues...great player for us...but a bit of a tosser if you ask me!..

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm sure he was under contract with sky ed but I do agree with you on the him being a tosser bit but that does not mean he would be a rubbish manager I think he would do a great job but we may never no

Agree1 Disagree0

Andy Gray has never been a manager and has not been involved in day to day football for about 20 years. He won't have any coaching badges. Yet you would give him his first managerial role at Everton? He was an excellent player for us, but come on really? Thank god you aren't in charge of the club. John Motson knows a lot about football, wouldn't make him a manager either.

I truly hope Moyes never leaves, but i would want another youngish British manager if he ever left.

Alastair {Ed001's Note - Gray did the dirty on Everton the first time he left, he left out of greed, he did the dirty again, when he came in waving his list around as he applied for the manager's job only to reject it when Sky offered him more money to stay on as a pundit. Why would anyone want the money grubber at Everton? His only interest is money!}

Agree1 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more ed001!

ROTFLMFAO...@ the thought of Andy(loyal aye f@ckin loyal to ma wallet) Gray becoming a Manager full stop... we would need a hungry take no sh1t type of guy ...someone who would put the club and the fans first...someone who would immediately get a feel for Everton football club, someone who could inject that feel into the players if or when they needed it...Personally that man for me is Paul Lambert...

Donovan tweeted on twitter "I am under contract ar galaxy for two more years.who knows what the future will bring after that.Don't let the headlines mislead you"

To late, am buzzing, even though he would be 31, he could still offer us plenty, and for FREE would be an absolutely amazing deal.

Daily mail claims that Everton,Bolton,Newcastle and Fulham all want Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez who is expected to be sold in the summer if Burnley fail to win promotion. What do you reckon Ed?
Toffeeboy {Ed001's Note - he is almost certainly on his way in the summer, he was the subject of a few enquiries in Jan, all were told to wait until summer by his agent.}
