I have heard from a little dicky bird that moyes is trying to get torres in onl loan ..... {Ed025's Note - that dicky bird...sounds like a vulture to me!

Believable2 Unbelievable25

Its a very good source at the club to be honest but then again this person told me we were getting machida on loan in the last window....

Agree0 Disagree0

The source ain't the clubs drug tester because if it is Tell him he is meant to test the players not the drugs

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I heard Torres was a boyhood blue and is desperate to play for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos torres?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he met Dickie Bird whilst in barnsley

Agree0 Disagree0

im from ireland not sure but heard on newstalk saying that Rodwell is going to Chelsea and we will get torres and 5 million anyone else her it let us know please {Ed025's Note - thats not happening mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable25

Maybe so mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Somehow I think the fact he's a former Liverpool player and he would have to more than halve his wage demands to move to us would be a bit of a stumbling block. A big European team will have him for £20m. When he's in form he is world class. {Ed025's Note - your right..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ive just wet myself

Agree0 Disagree0

This has floored me! i'm crying with laughter. Translated - not in a month of derbys

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesus help me it really is silly season lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos torres and were are we getting 5 mill from lol

Believable10 Unbelievable14

I'm lost on this..where is the question that ur answering or point should I say? Have I missed something?

Westy {Ed025's Note - he said tat a take over is in progress...check everton banter 2

Agree0 Disagree0

Your boring! {Ed025's Note - what is not boring...is that we have made an official request to chelsea..to take lukaku on loan...he will be a top player for us if they agree!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shut up u fool were did u get this news from u need to take some medication pal it mite stop ur mind tellin u stuff

Agree0 Disagree0

From my in law ,lives over the pond, works in law,wait an see,could take two months to finilize,nothing set in stone till all the docs are sighned,but the have been working on this for six weeks as i said on my earlier post

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this an anagram its almost dolphins as in miami gandolph any idea lads wat the anagram of this poss kopite is .and full respect to you gandolph you have made me laugh ..cheers ..tp {Ed025's Note - he seems adamant TP...but i wont be bringing back the clock for this one!

Agree0 Disagree0

No idea of the details, but my understanding is, an offer has been made. wish someone on the board would confirm this much, would lift moral to know we are activley descussing a deal. The only comfort is that kenwright knows selling the club in the championship would bring a lot less cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

Am no kopite mate i buy the sun....hope you all say soz...but i understand the negativity its all part of being a blue am just saying wat am getting told {Ed025's Note - you cant be a blue if you buy the s**.....we may not like our neighbours, but to buy that rag is an insult to all scousers, and all football fans!!....dont be so obtuse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not my in laws firm working on this,but he works in this circle and he knows am a blue and he told me wat hes hearing and he does not do bull sh,t....he told me gary cooks coming on the board as steve ross eyes and ears,i dont like gary cook myself but lets wait and see

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop talkin rubbish arnt u the 1 that said we r bein taken over by the gian group so dont worry kopite u wont b sayin told u so. go back under the rock u came from and stop talkin rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe it when I hear it from a reputable source so for now it's rubbish an that other guy is rite I think u did say the Jain group was buying us

Agree0 Disagree0

Should probably say that if it was him that said about the Jain group, that it had legs! There was definite interest from them initially but they were scared off by Kenwrights inability to negotiate on asking price!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jus like the last six buyers over the last ten years who were lookin at buyin us all of it had wheels then bang they fell off don't believe nothin till Everton come out an say it {Ed025's Note - good policy..

Agree0 Disagree0

HOLD ON!! Ed, are you saying we have officially asked Chelsea for Lukaku on loan? If so, that would be a terrific pick up if true, however have my doubts that Chelsea will allow him to leave as Anelka is gone, Drogba is going to ACN as is Kalou and Torres is being shopped around. Doesnt leave them with many options up front.

As for this lad, well, you have to give him credit, a lot of the other takeover rumours, the "ITK" writes once and disappears, at least he is coming back. Although saying that, no offence, but I will believe it when I see it. {Ed025's Note - lukaku is only 18, and is one for the future at chelsea, and like sturridge would benefit from more pitch time which he can get with us..

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the lukaku news Ed has brightened up a miserable morning. As for this gandolph fella i just dont believe it but having said that he does keep coming back and updating which is very unusual for a complete bullsh@tter so i will reserve judgement and hope to god he is telling the truth

I have heard Moyes is gunna be given 15 million to spend in january.. about time as well he has never been given the cash. {Ed001's Note - he spent that much on Fellaini, so he has been given cash! How much did Lescott cost? Billy? Etc, etc. The reason the club got into debt, is to give Moyes cash to spend, it had to borrow to do so.}

Believable3 Unbelievable16

Moyes has recouped a hell of a lot of money too.. Rooney, Lescott etc. I do think Moyes has done a good job with so little money compared to other clubs. {Ed001's Note - I wasn't disputing that, I was just pointing out that he has had money to spend, and that is the reason why the club is in such debt. He spent money on Fellaini, when central midfield was the strongest part of the club and a striker was desperately needed. He could have spent that money far more effectively.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The money he has had to spend has been recouped and then some,its not moyes's fault the club is skint its the mismanagement of the club from the board of directors.moyes's net spend is zero and dont we get £30-£40m a year of sky everton football club should have at least £20m every season to spend on players....

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok Ed cheers for that..I'm very dissapointed in Cahill at the moment been a long time without a goal...hope he comes good.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest Ed, when we bought Fellaini, we solved our striker problem, didnt we sign Fellaini in the summer, after the Yak had scored 20+ goals the season before, not to mention, we had just signed Saha as well, add to AJ still being there, our striker depth was quite good. (At least that is what I remember, i could be wrong)

As for 15mil in January, no chance. We would be lucky to get 5mil

Agree0 Disagree0

The second reply is spot on ED Moyes has spent what he's bought in Fellaini 15m (McFadden 5.8m,Fa Silva 1.5m and Johnson 10-13m) the rest on pienaar.Bily from the 23m lescott money I know he's been poor,all managers make bad buys,I just don't understand why he's never been given a go in his proper position PADDOCKBLUE {Ed001's Note - but you are forgetting, like all fans do, that the club does not receive the exact amount from any transfer. You have to pay taxes, you have to pay agent fees, solicitor's fees and pay up the leaving player's contract (unless he has requested a transfer).}

Agree0 Disagree0

"mismanagement of the club from the board of directors".

The fact that we haven't gone bust yet, despite no new investment is hardly mis-management is it? I'd say they're managing margins remarkably well!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with last post, somebody at everton many years ago must be cursed with bad luck. when the moores family left we have gone steadily downhill ( financially) then howard brought us success when through no fault of our own we were banned form europe and that great team broke up in the late 80s. all we needed was a few more years at the top and with the inception of the prem league in 93 and all the money that came with it followed by the champions league who knows where we could have been? its not really mis management just alot of bad luck along the way, more recently i'm amazed we are where we are at the moment, moyes has worked wonders to keep us mid table

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed cant see how you can blame the debts of Everton on the purchses of Moyes. For the output of the player group as a whole we really have used money well and to be honest without Moyes i dont think Everton would be where we are right now and a lot of Evertonions will support that - no matter how frustrated they are at the moment.

AussieBlue {Ed001's Note - because of his constant demands for more money to spend or he will leave. That caused the club to find the funds for players like Fellaini, even though it meant taking on debt.}

Agree0 Disagree0

To blame moyes for the lack of money is a joke. his net spend is 5m a season since he has been at the club. Kenwright has had 13 years to find investment nothing what a joke {Ed025's Note - i dont blame moyes for the lack of money, but he is to blame for the brand of football we are playing at the moment, which is dire!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with many of the posts, Moyes cannot be blamed for the current financial mess as we were £30m in debt through Peter Johnson's lavish spending when he backed Walter Smith. That debt has merely increased due to the repayments. He has recouped more than he has spent and has very rarely made a loss on any of his signings, which highlight how shrewd he has been in the transfer market. Also unlike other managers Moyes has never demanded to be backed by the board or made our financial situation any worse despite pressures on his job and his own burning ambition. I think the man has our best interests at heart

Agree0 Disagree0

ED you keep mentioning Fellaini 15m he bought in at least 17m through sales,the other 2m on making pienaar permanent. So how did we go in debt to purchase him? Aren't taxes etc included in the fee. Bill and co are a joke and yes Moyes is having a dodgey season.PADDOCKBLUE {Ed001's Note - and, like I said, you are not taking into account fees, taxes and paying up the contract of those that leave. You do realise that players on 25k a week will need to be paid up 1.3m for every year of their contract don't you? So you have to take millions out of the sale prices for that, even forgetting the hundreds of thousands that go in agents and solicitor fees.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes doesn't have the best track record with his big signings - Beattie, AJ, Yakubu, Fellaini (jury still out), Bily.
Moyes actually does his best work with the mid-level transfers. That is what our team is based on pretty much.
Tim Cahill: £1.5 million
Mikel Arteta: £2 million
Tim Howard: £3 million
Phil Jagielka: £4m
Leighton Baines: £6 million
Jolean Lescott: £4m
Sylvain Distin: £5 million
