I believe we should give ed2 a little break (think his head will explode) and talk about something other than Rom for a bit.

7 games to go. Pretty much assured of no worse than 7th. Do we start blooming some of the more promising kids, or will rk buy ready made replacements over the summer (he's done it at other clubs)?

I hope we give the youth a chance because just because we have money don't mean we need to spend it, if the kids are good enough.

{Ed033's Note - Well you know what they say; Rom wasn't built in a day.

Be careful what you ask for GeoffJohno. Think for a moment what you have just asked for, no summer signings instead let our youth play.

Whilst most of us like to see our youth rising through the ranks I don't think many of us actually believe we have enough ready to play 1st team football on a regular basis.

We are a club that has attracted many international players to play for us or players who have hit the international stage whilst playing for us, now with all the best will in the world we will not get that many coming through the ranks.

For any team to be able to promote youngsters to the high standard we the supporters expect and demand we need seasoned players to show them how things are done. Seasoned and better players mean new signings. Don't stop signing players until a good one emerges from the youth side.

Signings need to be made and if a youth player impresses and is good enough, like Davies, I think they will be given a chance.

Rom wants a move. Kept that one quiet.

{Ed025's Note - love it baz..

It's fine to give youth a chance. But the reality is they need to be as good as our aspirations if CL. Let's be honest. If we focused just on youth coming through we will linger mid table. We will need good signings to offset the deficiency that comes from having too much youth and that's experience and a little guile. This league already has six teams capable of CL qualification. For us to make it seven we will need some top signings of our own.

Hi ed a question about our lukaku replacement.
Are we interested in dembele from Celtic or batshayui from Chelsea or even Tammy Abraham from them too and last but not least Dolberg from Ajax as we could offer all of these playing time ad our main striker

And if Ross doesn't sign are we interested in tielemens anderlevt klassen of Ajax?

Thanks Eds.

{Ed002's Note - Right now William Jose is the player that Everton are looking very seriously at as a striker.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have both been aware of Moussa Dembele since his time at PSG and were both interested in signing him when he opted for Fulham as a 16 year old. Newcastle, Lille, Juventus, Napoli, Liverpool, Wolfsburg, Marseille, Everton and Spurs had also been looking at Dembele since the start of last season before he opted to move to Celtic for the playing time. Recent glances from Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Monaco have led Celtic to put an unrealistic price on the player that could block any move in the short term.

Everton has shown no interest in Abraham, who is really not ready for such a big step up. Again Everton has not spoken with Chelsea about Batshuayi.

Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Manchester City have a declared interest in Ajax's Kasper Dolberg who has also been watched by Manchester United, Rangers, Spurs, Everton, Sunderland and others.

Youri Tielemans has attracted long-term interest from Chelsea with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Juventus, Borussia Monchengladbach, Napoli, Spurs, Barcelona and Marseille all showing an interest in the past couple of years. Plenty of other sides will have had him scouted. Chelsea were actively speaking with his club since January 2014 through to 2016 but would have needed to send him on loan for, I imagine, at least a year. Speaking with Mourinho and another chap (with the permission of his club) he was adamant he did not want to be sent on loan - but that was a couple of years ago. Atletico spoke with Anderlecht this past summer and the player liked the idea of a move to Madrid but nothing could be resolved for a move at the time but Atletico could return in the summer if they win their appeal. The problem with a move to England is that he is still may not ready to step right in to the first team at many of the more senior clubs - but it may not stop Spurs looking to bid. It was suggested that he should look to one the "smaller" teams in one of the big leagues, with Everton given as an example but it was no more than that, an example. Interest of Marseille and Juventus has certainly moved on. Inter has discussed the player with Anderlecht recently and has put a financial proposal on the table to his agent. Milan and Roma are also showing some interest and have made that interest known. It is not out of the question that Monaco or Borussia Monchengladbach may look to him again with Monaco having approached Anderlecht after becoming concerned that the discussions regarding Ghezzal were going nowhere.

Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen is of interest to Napoli who have made a number of offers since last summer.}

Interesting read this morning, it's in the Italian rags that juventus have dropped out of the race for sead kolinisac as has agreed to join a prem team in the summer.
Also in the Milan bible (got a soft spot for A. C. ) that they have lost out as the player has agreed a contract with EFC
Be a good player to have if this is true.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal has made an offer to him that nearly doubles the offer from Milan.}

Hi Ed, apologies if you have already answered this one. If Rom goes this summer, which I believe he will but I will be extremely gutted, do you know of any realistic replacements we could be in for? Just thinking that any replacement must show the clubs ambition to the rest of the squad and fans. For example, in my opinion you don't replace a 23 year old RL with a 34 year old JD.

{Ed002's Note - Everton have been looking at a number of forwards and strikers and do seem keen on Willian Jose (enough to have spoken with his club Real Sociedad about him) and the more versatile Cedric Bakambu. Interest in Lukasz Teodorczyk will have gone when he signed a new contract. Right now the one to watch would be William Jose - and they could look to Bakambu as well.}
