Hi

Is there stillbefc interest in aaron mooy?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach by Everton.}

14 Jun 2017 07:55:52
I live in Huddersfield at the moment and have been to about 10 home games. Absolutely quality player; easily top half Prem, but not a position we need to add more bodies to.

14 Jun 2017 10:45:39
A couple of years ago he was just a decent domestic footballer in the A-league. He has improved so much in just a couple of years really hope he goes well in the Prem next year. Could do worse than Mooy.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jun 2017 20:21:53
Wasn't Mooey a character in the tv drama Scully from the early 80's? Did more to sterotype scousers than Harry Enfield did.

Ed's do you know what the situation is regarding the rb spot is.

I don't particularly think Martina is good enough to come in, albeit a stop gap.

I would personally rather give Kenny and Holgate the chance to fight out the spot. Both English, both know what Everton is about and will be more passionate than Martina will be.

Is there any interest in other full backs at all that you are aware of?

Cheers Men.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware, as far as I recall, of any efforts to make a change.}

13 Jun 2017 23:47:15
Cheers Ed.

beginning of the season gone we were credited with an interest in the Danish midfielder Thomas Delaney, now at Werder Bremen. Anyone know if we still retain an interest and if so are we likely to follow it up.

Ross Barkley hasn't really lived up to his potential for us so if he thinks he can do better elsewhere good luck to him. As many have discovered before him the grass doesn't always turn out to be greener. As for Lukaku, he could achieve all he wants here with us in time, but like a lot of young men he's too impatient. I am so optimistic about the future of Everton I can see both of them looking back in a couple of years thinking 'I wish I'd stayed' COYB.

First things first, it feels great seeing the intent from RK and the board to get deals done early. Hopefully Pickford, sandro and Ramirez will be joined by others soon. A centre back would be nice. I was just wondering eds if we are one of the clubs closing in on a deal for macguire or Robertson. Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Maguire is of interest.}

13 Jun 2017 19:10:43
sorry mate. But sandro is ramirez isn't he? Or have i missed something.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note -Yes.}

13 Jun 2017 19:26:59
I hope its Robertson and not Maguire. don't rate the lad, don't get me wrong he is passionate and puts his body on the line, but that isn't good enough if we want to challenge the teams above us now.

Keane is the only English CB i would take. Class in the air, goal threat, reads the game well, has grown up at United and can pick a pass.

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Jun 2017 20:11:59
Yeah sorry sladen meant the same player.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jun 2017 16:15:41
JMW, have you actually watched Maguire this year? He's probably the most technically able centre back in the league after Stones and Luiz. He's not just some old fashioned meathead like he looks, he isn't incredibly composed and drives into the midfield like Stones used to, as well as being able to pick out an pass. would be a great addition.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he can be a bit gung ho at times ander but he is certainly talented mate..

13 Jun 2017 18:59:49
Any of the eds know what is going on with Ross barkley I not even sure there is any interest in him anymore from any of the top sides.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Everton will be open to a sale and Spurs are interested still.}

13 Jun 2017 19:37:27

Not sure on the accuracy of this but the daily looking glass is reporting RB has turned down a 100k per week contract and EFC have walked away from the negotiations. If this is true what a silly boy. He's pretty much guarenteed first team football at EFC which I don't think he'll get anywhere else unless he's prepared tp go to a club placed lower in the league.

Ed any news on when the deals for Sandro and klassen will be finalised?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - timing is difficult mate, both should be done, barring any hiccoughs over the next couple of days.}

13 Jun 2017 14:59:00
The Sandro/ Titanic meeting go well then?

13 Jun 2017 15:24:06
If we sign these 2 plus Pickford over the next couple of days it will be brilliant business by the club. Supporters should be well pleased and all involved deserve plenty of praise. Club is moving forward with great intent and purpose. I'm one happy blue and never doubted this was around the corner.

Looks like its going to be busy summer for in goings and out goings.

13 Jun 2017 18:29:00
Jury still out for me on Pickford to be honest. Perhaps the 30m doubts him slightly more, although if it's totalling 30 with add ons, if he reaches the 30 I guess he'll be doing something right. But I am glad we're starting early for a change.

13 Jun 2017 13:16:57
What's your end saying on Lukaku CFC?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 14:51:01
I'll be very happy with him signing mate. I know a LOT of people aren't because of his touch and willingness to put a shift in. But with Conte in charge I can see the fight in him changing. I overlook his touch for his goal scoring record. The boy is a born goal scorer. So cannot knock that. What is it, 85 goals before he's 24. And only second to Aguero in overall goals in last 4 years. Seems silly to turn someone with premiership experience and quality like that down. But no pleasing some CFC fans. They want the Dybala's, Lewandowski of this world to come to us. But sadly this isn't Fifa.

Seems you're building a good foundation again. What's the latest with Barkley? And your view on lukaku?

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 14:42:14
Hope not he is not good enough, maybe one day but still to young, great shot stopper but there is a lot more to being a great keeper and you need a great keeper to win things.

Agree0 Disagree3

13 Jun 2017 17:48:17
CFC. Speaking for myself I think the same as you on Lukaku. But am a bit disappointed with his media stuff and the way he's dismissing us as an option for next season as if we have no contract with him. Not very classy tbh. But he will always score goals. Conte will have to get him good wnough to do it against top sides now.

As for Barkley. If he has turned down a contract of £100k as is being reported then I'm sorry he can just go. That's such a foolish and greedy thing to do. If you love the club like a supporter which he says he does, you don't do that.

He's replaceable though so if he does leave then fine. As you said it looks like we are building something good so long live king Moshiri.

Everywhere reporting that Pickford is coming Ed's.

Is this near enough done, or rag talk?

I think 30 million for a keeper relegated and 1 season in the prem is steep, but i guess its the current market.

Looking at his age, if we keep him for 10 seasons then it will be a bargain.

The reason i like him is because he looks like he has passion when he plays. he's not just a goaly who turns up for the cameras, he looks like he wants to make every single save an not let anything beat him. Looks like a real leader.

Refreshing to see that we may be doing our business early.

Pickford, Keane, Sig, Klass, Sandro are all top quality additions/ replacements imo.

Up the Toffees.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - it was done ages ago as I said on one of the sites when someone asked about him. People should remember that when they are spouting their false indignation at Lukaku or Liverpool for their actions as Everton are no different.}

13 Jun 2017 12:05:38
ED01 what's that all about having a rant about Everton signing a player we all know every club sounds players out before they bid the difference is players know to keep quiet as it's paramount for the deal to go through the problem here is VVD and Lukaku have both said something they shouldn't and in LFCs case has not only messed the transfer up but could get them into trouble could this be jealousy as we are now looking to improve our squad and LFC are in limbo until the FA clear them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no, it was pointing out that you are no different and you did a lot more than sound out Pickford. Hardly a rant it was just pointing out that the abusive dicks that have been coming on with their ignorant and nasty little namecalling of Liverpool and Lukaku should realise that their club is no different. Sadly very few act properly.}

13 Jun 2017 12:13:27
Every club does it. Carragher highlighted this the other day, which is why i never get involved in the "Unfair treatment" bollocks.

If a club wants a player and the player wants a move - crack on. Why prolong the inevitable.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 12:15:05
I am assuming though that as Sunderland FC accepted the bid that it was done through the club. Rather different to Lukaku who has done everything through the press or Liverpool who seem to miss the clubs out on a regular basis.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no it was done ages ago and the clubs have only just agreed a fee. Basically the only difference between this and the VVD thing was the lack of media hysteria and the two clubs agreeing a fee.}

13 Jun 2017 12:35:05
Ed. It's definitely a case of let the one without sin cast the first stone, I agree. But it would appear in this case that Sunderland are happy with Everton's conduct to the tune of £30m in total.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that is the major difference, Everton were willing to pay at the end of it. Strange that Liverpool went to all the effort then weren't willing to pay. Actually no, it was not strange, it was incredibly stupid of Liverpool. Everton were smart enough to realise that you just have to pay more than you want sometimes rather than face trouble.}

13 Jun 2017 13:11:45
The key word being "Smart"

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 13:15:38
Yep fair enough Ed, I can see the logic in that.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 13:45:10
I think the big difference is Pickford didn't come out and say I have agreed terms with Everton you would have to he very naive to think personal terms are agreed after a bid is accepted as contracts and personal terms are very very complicated the reason I said you ranted was because the original post asked if the deal was close or just media speculation and you went into one about LFC as I said if VVD had kept stum you would of signed him by now and LfCs summer transfer business would be looking really good wherass now its a shambles.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that is not what I was referring to. I was referring to the bells on here that constantly have to use nasty terms to refer to LFC and its fans and slagged off Lukaku for doing nothing different than they did. As for Pickford, nothing was reported because it wasn't much of a story, unlike LFC signing their 45th player from Saints. The stuff was out there, I wasn't the only one who publicly wrote stories about how Pickford was going to Everton. It just never got taken up by the media. I am not sure why as they usually go mad for anyone English.

Oh and more aimed at Liverpool for their stupidity in setting up a deal and messing it up so publicly.}

13 Jun 2017 13:55:18
Abusive d! cks Ed? Sounds like that dildo debacle from transfer deadline day a few years back, that was an abusive d! ck 🤣.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I had forgotten about that.}

13 Jun 2017 14:52:26
Wish Chelsea would do that ed. It seems to me that they sell high and expect to buy players cheap. Doesn't make any sense. Not in this day and age! Great work tho. Love reading Everton site. Lots of interaction. Great banter. Chelsea one is just full of bitching 🙄.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 15:49:37
don't get me wrong I'm as bitter as bitter can be but LFC don't register on my radar because well they are not Everton so don't really effect me all I want us for Everton to keep improving and maybe one day win at our first home.

13 Jun 2017 10:33:40
Latest name plucked out of thin air is Hakan Calhanoghu. Turkish free kick specialist apparently. Also a piece on Januzaj maybe being looked at - I think he'd be a good squad addition at the right price.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Rags staring we agreed 30 miles with Sunderland for pickford.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Jun 2017 09:11:52
Wouldn't be a massive surprise.
30 mill seems a bit steep though - sure lots of it will be in add ons. He's not the finished article, but will be class.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jun 2017 10:29:53
Yea loads of add ons and clauses close to the 30m could have 3 top players in before pre season.

13 Jun 2017 11:00:18
Still not convinced on Pickford as our starter. Several others around who I would prefer Butland or Schmeichel
And if we could snare Henderson from the U20's as well as we are reported to be hovering.
