3 yr deal is a joke especially after all the messing round we have had to get him if he does well in his 1st season we will give him a new 5 yr deal haven't we already had r fingers burnt with Martinez.

14 Jun 2016 10:24:40
Not sure what you are moaning at here? 3 years is a joke but will end up giving him 5 as we did Martinez? So how long should we have given him? 4 years?

Agree1 Disagree1

14 Jun 2016 13:31:23
Honest blue, people will moan about everything and anything on here. First it was taking too long despite knowing the man was away with his family. Now it's the length of the deal! In actual fact, RK is similar to Jose as he hasn't stayed at one club for more than three years, maybe it was him that wanted the contract to be for that length of time?

Does anyone one else think the delay with managerial appointment is linked to the abscence of a director of football appointment.
If you were going to work for a new company would you commit if your employers couldn't confirm who your direct boss was going to be?
Maybe Koeman wants this sorted before he signs up.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

13 Jun 2016 22:23:57
Rod according to echo the delay is due to excessive paperwork they have to go through I would expect that before Ronnie went away he would have known the candidates we had in mind to become director of football I know we have monchi in mind but think we would have more than one person in mind like with search for a manager you don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Its gone past a joke now, its the longest running managerial appointment in our history I would imagine . we are looking very edgy again, caution and diligence went past us two or three weeks ago . and please don’t mention those two swear words again. paper work you’ve got to be joking!

Most important apointment in our history though jonno .

Romelu Lukaku "one of the best strikers in the world " if you ask him just got subbed after doing absolutley nothing for Belgium I don't think he's going anywhere as there's no way anyones paying the asking price based on what I've just seen.

Not that we're in for him or anything, but what did people think of Milik yesterday?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Arkadiusz Milik only joined Ajax on a permanent basis in April 2015 and already they have rejected offers from both RB Leipzig and Augsburg and have told other interested clubs (Napoli, Everton, Inter Milan, Olympic Marseille, Leicester and Real Sociedad) that he is not for sale. Sevilla has made an approach to Ajax recently, as have Inter and Leicester yet again. I can discount Inter at this time but not Lazio.}

Find myself leaning more towards the Irish doing well than England because of the Everton connection of Jimmy Mac and Seamus. Stones and Barkley ain't going to get a sniff for England.

He was bloody awful today, same way he plays for us, head down in headless chicken mode. As for Coleman, it is going to take a Koeman to get him playing how we know he can.

Morning ed. So is it going to happen today do u think.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully john, it seems very close mate..

13 Jun 2016 13:51:05
Be patient with the new manager. If it is to be
Koeman and he only comes back from holiday today he will have things to attend to.
If he travels with Thomsons, then every chance his flight could be delayed.
When he gets back home his wife will want to go Asda or Aldi to stock up the fridge.
He will need to go out for newspaper to catch up on latest sport news.
He will need to clear all his post from behind the front door.
When he looks out from the kitchen window will decide that his lawn needs cutting subject to not raining.
Will need to check his answer phone for any messages.
Just like we all have to do.

Breaking - Emery has resigned his post at Sevilla. source ssn. could this be why there is no announcement yet on Koeman?!? As I mentioned last week the efc board were split between wanting Emery and Koeman. it was Moshiri who had Koeman as his no.1 choice. the wait goes on. but the news this morning from Seville is that Emery has resigned - no compo. Either if we went for him and he's a proven winner too!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Emery is in talks with the owners of another club - Everton are not part of this.}

13 Jun 2016 12:41:12
Ok Ed, fair enough - any news on when Koeman to be announced? Seems to be taking a very long time.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No and there is no immediate rush Soli. It will take until holidays are over and details agreed and confirmed.}

13 Jun 2016 12:42:48
I thought he was going to PSG?

13 Jun 2016 13:29:56
. I'm sorry, but I do think this Koeman appointing saga has taken far too long to materialize. I might be wrong but there also the potential for us to be missing out on transfer targets too. as for Koeman - I just hope he really wants the Everton job deep down in his heart and isn't using us as a 2 year stepping stone to the helm at Barcelona or somewhere like that. I find it very strange when you're offered a £5 million a year contract (a huge increase on what you currently have) to just jet away on holiday leaving uncertainty and impatient fans behind when normally the motivation would be there to pen the deal a lot more quickly!

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is not really like that, there are details to sort out and if he has booked a vacation he will want to take it. Players are away at tournaments and on vacation themselves and the Transfer Window has yet to open. I have explained before it all takes time and you need to have the necessary forbearance to wait out the conclusion of this.}

13 Jun 2016 16:34:16
We'll know for sure very soon Soli, we've had to be patient for a week so another few hours shouldn't kill us! If he does get courted by the likes of Barcelona then that will mean he has been doing a good job with us so it won't all be doom and gloom mate.

Richard Askham. Highly thought of northwest bbc reporter saying there is still some way to go in negotiations and an announcement in next few days is highly unlikely.

I still have my doubts. I hope BK and Co are not holding all their eggs in one basket on the assumption that it'll all be sorted in the end. There are excellent other options out there and Everton are taking too long.

13 Jun 2016 11:54:51
Hey

. I wish some would show a little patience n just chill. the club are doing exactly the right thing by not publicly going about their business. hence the fact there are no reliable rumours whatsoever out there. just guesswork. there is absolutely nothing out there which can be relied upon.

Mart.

13 Jun 2016 12:01:11
Patience. That's all we have showed. Other clubs get it done in a week. Look at Reading with stam. My patience has snapped. I'm really not bothered if we get koeman now or not. Sick of waiting and lost all interest. The excitement has gone out of it all now.

13 Jun 2016 13:42:17
My Goodness. Are we the most uptight bunch of supporters out there. He's just got back from holiday - a pre planned family holiday. So now he will meet to get the finer details sorted. PLEASE RELAX! This will take a few days which as expected and then it's to the business of assessing then strengthening. Until then stop thinking the worse and for goodness sake stop believing what is written in tomorrow's fish and chips wrappers.

13 Jun 2016 10:36:06
One step at a time.
First RK has to be officially confirmed as the new appointment.
Then the new managerial, coaching, scouting and recruitment setup has to be put in place.
Then they can assess the current players and what changes they would like.
Only then, surely, can we expect specific players to be the subject of meaningful interest, let alone actually be brought in.
Anyway, the rumours, banter, speculation and gossip are all good fun, so let's all enjoy the craic :-)

At this rate we won't have a manager in before the season starts. If this is a sign of things to come under moshiri the he can go back to arsenal. Club is a joke.

Johnefc, the blokes on holiday. And you really think Moshiri is taking the preveriable pee and should be booted back to arsenal. You do realise that if it were solely down to bill, moyes the messiah would be our gaffer now. chill out for petes sake.

Now I'm hearing get there is still quite a bit of talking to be done. So as I've said in another post the excitement has gone of us appointing another manager now whoever that may be.
