Eds,

Are we actually in for Mata?

Cheers.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Everton making an approach to MU at this time.}

13 Jul 2016 15:16:58
According to sky sports we are interested in Georginio Wijnaldum.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

13 Jul 2016 18:29:15
To be fair according to Sky Sports, at the moment, we're interested in any player with two legs.

Agree10 Disagree1

13 Jul 2016 21:42:42
True haha but I'd still like to see him in blue next season.

13 Jul 2016 23:19:44
Not sure myself. 25 mil totally overpriced. Think Newcastle only paid 14 and they went down! Better players about imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jul 2016 00:50:08
They went down and he scored at least 10 in a shocking team. He'll be much better for us an in todays market £25m is not big money.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Jul 2016 10:40:40
Agree blue that's the going rate know think he be able signing for us 11 goals for Newcastle in a struggling team and first year in premier league not bad just think of him Ross wwe could possibly have 20 goals from the midfield let alone what ROM bangs in if he still here.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2016 00:45:01
Rom only scored 7 more in the league and we are taking 65 mill for him. Wijnaldum is worth the 25 mill in my eye.

13 Jul 2016 11:24:30
Negotiations between Napoli and Witsel have broken as a fee hadn't been agreed - leaving Everton as favourites to sign him.

Everton are literally the most frutating team in the world! 1 Day I will open the paper and see we have signed somebody brilliant and it went under the radar because it was done in less than a week! Love the club but my word we don't half fanny about with things like this.

Agree5 Disagree4

13 Jul 2016 14:22:44
No they dont. none of us know for certain which player (s) the club is targeting. the club certainly don't leak such information. its all regurgitated rumours n conjecture spewed out by unreliable internet sources. how on earth can you blame the club of 'fannying about'.

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Jul 2016 14:28:58
I know what u mean we do seem to drag out transfer dealings but with witsel he has bit of a reputation of messing people about or his agents do we should have a deadline for him to sign by then if it expires we should look else where me personaly would like William carvalho of sporting.

13 Jul 2016 15:10:16
Not be long before the Yarmalenko links surfice again.

13 Jul 2016 15:19:49
He is rumoured now to be going to Inter instead. I feel we need a signing to get the ball rolling. Although many (including me) are getting impatient, RK needs to see what he has got, although some areas are pretty obvious. Man City have the cash to splash early, I feel owing to the restrictions we have regarding FFP salary increase limit, we just need to be a little more careful. Effectively, releasing Osman, Pienaar and Hibbert probably only covers the weekly wage of a squad player for them rather than a main first team player for us.

I told you 08:30 Mata off to Villarreal now Witsel off to Napoli who's next.

{Ed002's Note - You have a great record then.}

Everton favourites to sign van Dijk

go get him Ron.

13 Jul 2016 09:42:18
Have we bid Murf?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 10:04:29
not yet mate just Sky make us favourites, just the Man City for Stones story means we have to get someone in sharpish don't know whether Ron would go back to pillage or even if the Saints would sell as they are getting ransacked again (Mane, Wanyama) , feel sorry for them sometimes as I know most clubs get pillaged but they get it worse than anyone.

When will fans/ posters realise that bookies are in the business of making profits - not in being proved right about who is and isn't favourite. They set the odds according to how much money is at stake in the market. They might set some odds to entice mug punters, but they'll make sure they don't make a loss in the long run. If punters suddenly lumped big money on some player joining us (normally because of a media rumour! ) , then that player's odds would be reduced by the bookie. Any bookie who doesn't adjust his odds to the prevailing market - and makes sure he doesn't lose money whatever the outcome - wouldn't stay in busines very long. That's why it's said you don't often see a poor bookie. They love outsiders winning, as they make money on all those losing bets on the favourites, and they don't like favourites winning, as their profit margin is much lower.
If someone put daft money on some unknown player joining us, then the bookies would have to adjust the odds and the unknown would become the favourite.

Sid just about sums up exactly how the bookies do it.

Hi Ed looks like Stones has told RK he wants to join city with money and part ex coming our way what do you think mate.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained this to you for months.}

13 Jul 2016 08:08:05
Part Ex rarely happen mate, we won't be taking any City players.

Witsel talks break down with Napoli.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 08:46:22
not really surprised it was on the cards and with are reported intrest in the Napoli defender looks like it would be replacement for stones but wouldn't have any of man city players because all they would offer is mangala navas or some other player they want shipped out of city bony would be good to have on loan he has been linked to going to galatasary on season long loan but I wouldn't have him as part of the stones transfer though I would want the straight cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 09:10:11
me neither Duke, would like Bony on loan only as needs to prove himself again for me, happy sat on a bench when he was playing all the time before, could be good too

Berksire - funny that mate, he is the new Yarmolenko.

13 Jul 2016 11:01:47
It's just paper talk Ed not me mate I wouldn't take any city player.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 14:37:42
according to talksport stones will sign for man city before end of week and we close to agreeing a deal with city which talksport says they expect the fee to be around 53 million.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 16:11:45
I for one wish John Stones the best for his future. If he wants to leave then no point in keeping him against his will. Be a nice sum of money for Barnsley as well if reported fee is correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 17:45:56
The fifty odd million will help us get over him fairly sharp.

13 Jul 2016 07:33:49
According the Mail onlin, the £65 million price tag on Lukaku is cooling the interest of PPremier league sides. Strangely Crystal Palace and West Ham were quoted as two sides put off by the price tag!

Believable1 Unbelievable2

13 Jul 2016 08:09:51
West Ham are in for Higuan apparently :) , don't think they are interested as the owners and one of the sons has not taken to Twitter and told everyone about it yet.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Jul 2016 08:55:58
lads the 65 mil price tag has most probably has scared of a lot of intrest in rom but I think that was what price tag was there to do it dosent say a lot about the article in daily mail that the linked clubs west ham and palace with being scared of how laughable is that I thought rom wanted to win things and go to a big club since west ham and palace are not big clubs and don't have a great chance of winning the trophys rom wants must admit I did laugh my ass of when reading the article but that's the daily mail for you.

HI ed. read an article saying that were in for sebastian haller from utrecht. Article said tat we were in talks. any truth?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I can't say about talks but Utrecht's Sebastien Haller has been playing well this season and yearns for a move to Ajax in the summer - and Ajax would be interested if Milik were to leave and if their offer is not dwarfed by another side. Inter, Marseille, Spurs, Brighton, Everton, Sunderland, Rennes, Monaco and Borussia Monchengladbach are just some of the clubs who have been attending Utrecht games to watch him this season. A move in the summer will happen - to where is unclear, but it won't be to Beijing Guoan or Norwich.}
