Don't know if this is true or not. Not a hanging offence I guess for club employees to give out this sort of unofficial information, but, if I was running the club, I wouldn't be happy that people couldn't be trusted to just do their jobs and maintain confidentiality. Swapping Rodwell for Pienaar and Defoe would be a bad deal imo. Rodwell needs a bit of time but will be a classy and valuable player for us. Defoe is 29, Pienaar 30. Short term additions to an ageing squad... Rodwell is young and 3 decent CMs is not too many

Why Defoe? We already have a forward who is something of a poacher how about someone who can create chances or work hard.

Why are people so desperate to get rid of Rodwell in two years he will be a great midfielder and we won't have a shot at being able to afford him.

Utter nonsense this post, people seem to think that Everton Have first 11 and thats it, and that there is no plan for competition for places.

Moyes is looking to build a squad that can perform all season rather than just the second half so all the midfielder will get a chance a some point and they will have to perform to a higher standard to keep the place. Pienaar is vital to Everton he had the biggest impact on us finishing strongly last season. His partnership with Baines is the best left sided partnership in British football. So yes, if it is 5m we must pay it, (SIMPLE) really.
