I heard, read or maybe imagined that Landon is going to train with us during the USA trip. If it wasn't something I imagined does it bode well for Landon signing for us. Your knowledge and opinion please Ed {Ed025's Note - i believe he is going to train with the squad.....but signing him seems very unlikely...

What some people need to understand is we would be lucky just to keep our hole squad together. We have talent not much pace on the wings but we can play some nice football too. Just a crazy idea maybe a way of fitting in all our best players in the team. I know this formation is not popular but we have to make the best of what we have:
Howard
Jags, Jonny, Distan
Coleman Banies
Felli
Rodwell Arteta
Cahill
Saha/Becks/Yak?
Just a thought what do you think?
A good team, solid back line with plenty of players that can get forward and score goals. Coleman and baines could get forward and give his width. Would still like a couple of signings though {Ed025's Note - me too

Interesting but all i see is a back 3 who will be super fatigued, no way would distin play every game of the season being in a back 3
I put it as 3 center backs baines and coleman as wing backs felli holding in front of the back 3 rodders and arteta in mid and cahill behind the striker just did not come out like that on the page. fell distan is still pretty quick but point taken. just thought id thrown a different idea out there as well theres not much else to talk about at the moment

True that no way osman should lose his place rodwell doesnt deserve to be in starting 11 imo neither does cahill id have beckford playing off saha with osman in for roddes and that wud be prob good formation
So where does are captain play neville and osman {Ed034's Note - Although there are better footballers than Neville (well my Nan is a better footballer) his influence on the field is undeniable and his experience will be needed to help bring through some of the promising youth players that we have. Also i agree that osman should not lose his place until someone shows that they deserve it more

We had made an approach for dale Jennings during a few transfer windows and snubbed Orem teams don't exactly knew him but mutual friends and he told a few people
He's away to Bayern...
We already had dale jennings in the youth academy, so did liverpool but he was let go by both because of his poor attitude

I am a Man United fan from Manchester & can only apologise for dicks like this. I have worked on the building sites of Manchester & Liverpool for the last 30 years & now realise that we are both very similar, thats probably why we clash so much. I have met hundreds if not thousands of scousers both red & blue & 99.9% of them are sound lads & good friends. Please dont think we are all like this cock cos believe me we are not.

In answer to your question the player is called Lewis Holtby. He's 21 this year and plays for Schalke 04 in Germany. The kis ismeant to be really good, he's spent the last 2 years out on loan though and has returned to Schalke this summer where there expecting big things from him so I don't think they will want 2 let him go. He is a blue though as his Dad is an english solider, from Liverpool who is also a blue, and was stationed in Germany, his mother is German so he can play for Germany or England, but i think he's recently said he wants to play for German though

Some of you have very short memories before we had the current manager/chairman. I get frustrated with no transfers activity but i would rather have bill and david in charge than some of the idiots around the game at this moment in time. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE has ruined the PL and without money for player signings and wages, thats all we can hope for midtable and upwards. Better that than relegation like the hammers.
I honestly can't understand people complaining about the lack of funding available its a business and EFC is run very well. If you want to help then buy a season ticket and cheer the boys on every week.
