Does anyone know if there is any substance to the rumour that Everton have ditched 'Umbro' as their kit manufacturer in favour of 'Hummel' I though EFC has signed a multi year renewal with Umbro last summer.

It’s just rumour at the moment but we did agree a new deal with Umbro however the rumour suggests we will pull the plug due to the lateness of the kit release . Hummel are just a rumour at this stage.

Probs will not happen but would certainly be an upgrade on what we have.

Still think we are crying out for a left footed centre back.

{Ed025's Note - well our current ones are non-footed so that would indeed be an improvement bobslad.. :)

Why don't we get Jake the Peg. Then we can cover LB, RB, and CB all in one lol.

{Ed025's Note - love it nick..

Stones was very solid for us, and would definitely be an improvement despite some of his dubious 'play from the back' mishaps. i'd like us to re-sign him. The thing is, would he really want to return? a lot of fans (myself included) gave him hell after he left and i think that will always be a factor in his decision.

{Ed025's Note - hes a professional worcester and i dont think that would be a problem, the fee and wages might though mate..

2 years left and 2 midfielders ahead of him for a cb position. He's got to be available this summer? Pep has never really been convinced and I think when City sign another CB in the summer and Laporte comes back from injury, he's got to be out on his ear.

Will he comeback though? He left with a chorus of the usual hyenas slagging him hard when he went. He would be a massive upgrade and should start to blossom in the next 12 to 24 months too. I'd welcome him back instantly.

{Ed025's Note - me too mate..

Well I hope he's matured or is it just me who remembers his forays upfield with no chance of getting back into defence. Not to mention the cruyff turns whilst being surrounded by 2 attackers.

Hmm. great defender but let's hope Pep has trained that out of him.

He hasn't Smit. he's an upgrade, just, but not the answer.

He takes too many gambles and costs goals at important times. We already have Pickford who does that, we don't need any more.

I want the next Jags or Watson. Dependable, authoritative and demanding. We need that new spine to be like granite. The problem we have now is there are no leaders anywhere on the pitch.
