This happens with some of these Oliver types, feed em once and the bowl comes out for more. A strange thing to say but don't concentrate on what is going on, on the pitch to much at the moment because you have to get the foundations right first, and in that we have made huge strides in just six months. Remember RK said two years, I believe him.

J mario from inter now that would be what you call a playmaker. 😎

I know we should all be over the moon with the fantastic additions so far, but don't you find it's like a drug, the more you get, the more you want, I'd like another striker minimum because if lukaku gets injured we are up the creek with out a paddle, the rest I think we will be ok till the summer,

13 Jan 2017 19:43:27
Goalkeeper Mattia Perin of Genoa was a target for Everton until the player got injured according to his agent

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it just shows you that we are in the market for a keeper sealand, and the sooner the better mate..

13 Jan 2017 20:42:10

Hi Eds, what's the chances of signing Depay before he goes somewhere else for 15mil he's got to be worth a try?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan to be honest AB, my worry now is that with costa playing silly buggers will chelsea come back in for rom?

13 Jan 2017 19:29:32
Just tell thme no eds. there is no way ronny will be stupid enough to sell him in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i really hope not fanatic, but he has said he has unfinished business with chelsea, it might just be me being paranoid mate..

13 Jan 2017 19:43:19
Looks like Costa's had a barney at Chelsea we could do with another striker. What do you think Ed hahaha

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i like him AB but i cant see it mate, maybe if they give us him plus £30m for lukaku we can shake hands mate.. :)

13 Jan 2017 19:44:28
im with you ed, i think Chelsea will sell costa and come in for rom.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they dont even need to lose him daz, but it looks like they will want another CF and rom will definitely be in the frame mate..

13 Jan 2017 20:05:31
Chelsea's owner has says there is no way he can go and he's got some money. Roms with us till the summer

13 Jan 2017 20:23:49

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - as many as we bring in AB, which could be any number mate..

13 Jan 2017 20:36:46
I watched Tom Davies on sat Ed and that lad can cover some ground, what the chances he will get a good run in the first team mate

Article in the echo with Pep saying Stones will show us what we are missing. I'm guessing that will be a worse goal difference as he let's us score 3 whilst he is puddling about in midfield wondering how he just lost the ball. Yeah Pep we really do miss that.

13 Jan 2017 19:31:02
Yeah and don't forget the cruyff turns 10 yards from goal, I really miss those

Hi Ed I think with R K coming out and saying some players have no future at the club indicate that he is far from finished with his spending in this January window and more will be coming in, goalkeeper and defence I hope, if he can get the deals done, I think we have to thank the board in backing him with what he needs, long may it continue, GuernseyBlue

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what he has said and typically players will be unhappy hearing managers saying things like that in public - it really is another unprofessional thing to say.}

13 Jan 2017 17:16:48
Hi Ed yeh agree, but we don't really know the truth about what he said, it could be the rags saying 2 and 2 is 5 as usual, but most us on here said we didn't feel the team were very good earlier on, i feel he has seen enough by now and knows what needs to be done, I have complete faith in him and Steve Walsh we have been waiting so long for this cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - As I said I have no idea, but if that is what he said it is entirely unprofessional.}

13 Jan 2017 17:23:29
Totally agree with Ed002. I like and wanted Koeman. Only gripe I have with him is the comments he has been making about transfers and players. As Ed002 says unprofessional. Before anyone gets on my back I'll say it again I love Koeman and want as manager. Really like what he's done so far.

Hi NBTB yeh agree mate but if it bucks them up and they realise this is last chance saloon they might play to their full potential like we know they can cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

Hi MEVERTON agree mate we have been putting up with mostly second rate players for far too long and this guy is the real deal, they know who they are in the team and R K says it how it is happy days for me mate, GuernseyBlue

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 18:30:54
The premier league is littered with managers who make comments that could be interpreted as unprofessional. I doubt someone with Koemans experience in football would ever be bothered by people's opinions.

It's possible that The Special one didn't view his comments about clearing out the Chelsea squad he inherited to a more manageable size that he likes were seen as unprofessional or Klopps comments on sturridges pain threshold being unprofessional. The way Pep spoke to the press recently concerning their 2-1 win with only 10 men. Or even the way SAF spoke about past players for him as Big Time Charlie's. I won't even mention some of the things the great Brian Clough said.

The fact is if we stick around long enough listening to what these managers are saying to the press we're very likely to here something we don't like and see it maybe as unprofessional.

Let's face it. If he's not being specific and embarrassing one of his players then allow him a bit of honesty. Not unprofessional in my humble opinion

Agree5 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 21:49:30
Fair enough. You make some good points Toffee Ace. It is mind games MEverton. Still don't agree with it.

It's the rawness of I suppose more than anything. There's a way to put it mildly. Koeman obviously knows what he's doing and doesn't care about what people think.

Why should he? He will be gone in the future. Whereas the club will have to deal with his choices after he's gone. I think the club will be in a better position when he's finished doing his thing. I have no doubt about that. I just hope the club can sustain with the spending it is doing and is being demanded.

The club is my main concern. I'm chuffed with everything. Long term I hope it never ends. Walsh knows what he's doing and is well experienced.

I am aware that Koeman was giving all involved a kick up the you know what. I just hope the club don't go too far. Long live Moshiri, Koeman and Walsh.

Opinions are like A holes everyone has one who cares about people's RK Opinions. In the past we missed out on decent transfers from our lack of execution in a cut throat market. If we get the team we deserve RK can get on my back and call me daisy, you got to crack a few eggs to make an omelette and all that. For me unprofessional behaviour is excepting mediocrity.

13 Jan 2017 16:31:43
Hi eds just wondering if Walsh/ koeman have enquired about a goalkeeper? Imo Stekelenburg and Robles are not up to the standard the club is aspiring to be at. Or will we wait till summer to see if there is anyone available?
Thanks

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - a keeper is certainly on the list george, but i feel it may be the summer before thats solved unless something strange happens mate..

13 Jan 2017 15:53:14
Depay has the ability to be class! Let's face it he was in a poor United team last season! I believe he is better than what we have and would be worth a go.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

13 Jan 2017 18:25:44
Totally agree depay is class

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Jan 2017 07:50:51
A £15 mill asking price for Depay puts him in the bracket of Niasse, so maybe a clue why only Lyon have shown permanent transfer interest. Walshes input and influence taking hold already perhaps and more (surprises) to come.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - That is far from what Lyon has offered for him.}

13 Jan 2017 08:19:24
Ed if we don't sign depay do u know of any other wingers we would possibly look at signing

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Lookman has already signed and it was suggested yesterday that Cafu might be an option.}

13 Jan 2017 10:32:31
I think Depay will probably go somewhere on deadline day and most likely on loan if United haven't shifted him elsewhere by then.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 10:40:50
Ed out of curiousity what kind of offer do you think Lyon have made if any for Memphis? You would think United might eventually loan him he is a gamble at the perceived valuation close to 20?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to get in to the money too much but Manchester United do not want to loan him - they really want to sell him. Lyon has made an offer and I suspect Manchester United will look for a way to make that work - perhaps add ons of some type, squeeze a couple of million euros more out of them or whatever. The critical thig is that nobody except Lyon has talked about buying him.}

13 Jan 2017 12:29:04
Ed is their a specific reason why Utd are looking to sell him off rather than loan him out?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he has no future there.}

13 Jan 2017 13:08:35
Great. Thanks Ed.

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Jan 2017 13:15:46
So with everyone else looking at just a loan are they all just straight loans without an option to buy at the end? If the boy has no future then I get they want shot but would a loan with option to buy at the end not be another alternative?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are not interested in loaning him out - I am struggling to see why this is so difficult to understand. They wish to sell the footballer.}

13 Jan 2017 13:41:59
I understood that to be the case and agree with you Ed002, just making a comparison between him and Niasse.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is no comparison.}

13 Jan 2017 14:35:42
hmmm. but okay.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 14:50:02
I totally understand that they wish to sell and I am sure in the perfect world we would have wanted to sell Niasse but have done a loan with option to buy.
Let's say for arguments sake they want £18m but nobody wants to pay that could a solution not be that someone says ok let us loan him and if he impresses then we can buy for said figure!
Or is the situation now that if they don't get a better offer they will take what Lyon has offered.
We don't always get what we want.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There seems to be a certain futility in me saying yet again that they don't want to loan the player out - and this is what interested sides, including Everton have been told. So right now they are talking to a side who is interested in buying the player - which is what they want. And they will be attempting to get to some kind of agreement.}

13 Jan 2017 15:54:22
Mourinho is not soft and i know he wants to sell Depay, but if he can't sell him he will always loan a player to a club that he thinks might be able to get results against other sides to help his own. So you never know.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is absolute nonsense - sorry, you are just making this stuff up.}

13 Jan 2017 16:00:55
But if everyone is put off by his apparent 'dip' in form and nobody offers United the money they require then just MAYBE they will have no option other than to loan him out. At least that way someone else pays the wages (or a part of) and there is a chance his profile can increase again and they get the fee they require.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It must be embarrassing for the clubs like Everton who enquired and said no then.}

13 Jan 2017 16:07:36
Why embarrassing. They want a certain amount. WE value him at a certain amount and would prefer to 'try before we buy' after his poor performance to date in Premier League.

Not sure why that would be embarrassing.

But i suppose we will all find out if he is sold or loaned in due course eh

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Everton don't "value him at a certain amount" - why are you even getting the Kleenex out about him in any case?}

13 Jan 2017 16:25:37
Don't value him at a certain amount?

So clubs don't have their own idea of what a players value is to them and what they are prepared to pay?

And no kleenex - if he comes and it works then great. If it doesn't happen and we get someone else so be it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Everton made an approach about a loan and were told no. There was no discussion about any price or anything else. And that was the end of it. This is quite frankly ridiculous.}

13 Jan 2017 16:34:10
You must be right then if you are aware of exactly what the conversation was.
As i said before Ed i suppose we will see

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 18:14:10
Ok Ed so from what you know was the Everton offer merely to loan or a loan to buy type scenario?
If it was purely a loan with no intention to buy then I can understand you taking some issue However if it was a loan to buy scenario then surely they may revisit.
Unless the guy is that rubbish that they are concerned that anyone seeing him play will then run for the hills and rate him as only worth a tenner! Then I can understand why they wouldn't consider any sort of loan!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained - loan.}

13 Jan 2017 18:18:46
It is not so much down to dip in form or playing time it is more down to how much the team wanting him value him at. Schneiderlin has played as little as depay but Everton didn't ask for a loan because they value the player. Depay is a risk and therefore only want to loan not buy to eradicate their doubts. Man u don't want to loan as Ed said so they are only interested in talking to clubs who wish to buy. If they did loan him out they would still be in the same position in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2017 22:41:37
True Smit but he may have showcased his talents in the loan spell generating more interest to buy him, just my thoughts
