Its says on Sky sports that "Last week Cahill reportedly turned down turned down a 16million dollar (£10.3million) three-year deal from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia." now I Love Tim Cahill, I wasn't around to witness the 80's so to me this guy is my all time favourite Everton player, but if offers like that do come in we just can't say no, 10 million for a 31 year old is a brilliant price! Thoughts?

No mate it means they are offering Cahill the 10 mill and us probably 3 millionish.
Blue kaz

Agree1 Disagree1

I think you will find the 10 million was the wages offered to him not a transfer fee.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cahill is a legend

Agree1 Disagree0

He on 70k a week at everton that is more than £10m over three years.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry mate, the 10.3 million is what the deal would be worth to Cahill signing on fee + wages (over 3 years).. not us. We'd probably get 2.5.

Agree1 Disagree1

Would earn that much at everton in next three years on his current wage, plus he can get more in sponsorship deals etc playing in prem. I don't think we will get more than a couple of million for him and can't see anyone paying more than we are now so think he'll wind down his career with us, was a great player but no where near what he once was! I'd take any deal to get him off the wage bill and free up the cash for a good loan or free agent! Harsh but no room for sentiment in football!

Agree1 Disagree0

We have already made him a multi millionaire at Everton so why would he uproot his family? his lads are good footballers and i think they could even play for us in the future.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we have to lose 1 important player.I prefer Tim.Very appreciate him but club have to go forward.

Agree1 Disagree1

He's only got 2 years left with us - to be fair I think is would be a deal that suited all parties involved - the new club, us, and Tim - it's a win win win all round as far as I can see - not often that happens

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldnd pay as much tax so would be better of good luck to him been a great player no disgrace if he left to benifit us both

Agree1 Disagree1

Everyone talking about how hes lost it..how? he had 1 season where he didnt score as much as usual hes a midfielder hes not supposed to be scoring plus hes an everton legend think he should stay hes such a clever player and when he is in goalscoring form hes unstoppable.. would love to see him as captain sometime

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry I know I read this wrong, realized soon after I posted on here, but still its interesting how many people wouldn't mind him gone, I'd sell at the right price but it would be really sad to see him go, I don't think he's 'lost it' though, but at his age if the right bid came in...
Toffeepidge

Agree1 Disagree1

I would be gutted if we sold Tim Cahill. He has far from lost it and him and Jelavic could do some serious damage next season. He is a star.

Tim Cahill's future remains uncertain amid interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and China.

The 32-year-old featured in Australia's World Cup qualifying draw with Japan but could start the new season away from Everton, despite having two years remaining on his current deal.

Fresh interest from Al Hilal comes a week after Cahill turned down a lucrative $16million (£10.3M) deal to join an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia while reports claim Chinese outfit Guizho Renhe, have made an official approach for the Goodison Park midfielder.

Source: Loads of news reports.

What I'm wondering is how much we were offered for him? If they're paying him £10.3m, we must be getting at least £5m.

The Manchester evening news says man utd to step up there intrest in baines and will. Get there man for 15 million as it looks like felliani is also likely to depart I expect moyse to depart, and with the imminent takeover by the Chinese I say we go for rafa Benitez he's available very experienced and is a certain to get us champions league football,he can spot a player and has good tactical nouse wat does every one think ,..........gandolph

Believable8 Unbelievable46

This isn't the real Gandolph, surely? His stories are normally better written and far more entertaining. This is just the work of a very bored (and clearly not very bright) individual.

Gandolph....Shut Up

Very amusing.

Yeah and King Kenny his assistant! Oh and Super Kevin Keegan as our technical director

Agree0 Disagree1

Was funny the first time, now it's just cluttering the website. Stop.

Agree0 Disagree0

Edd can you ban this blurt from this website {Ed024's Note - Banter and silly rumours keep us amused and we always get a good response, if anyone becomes abusive then they will be banned.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spelled moyes wrong but benitez right, proof of a redsh**e

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok boys just asked the question no need to get abusive.....I thought you loved me. If not rafa ...who........gandolph

Agree0 Disagree0

Gandolph i love you,i believe everything you say, in tribute to you ill have your name tattoed on the left cheek of my backside.Cheers mate.

Agree1 Disagree1

He's the one who got abusive by saying that the fat Spanish waiter should become our manager, that's swearing in my book

Agree1 Disagree0

With Kenwright in charge we will be lucky to see a takeaway.....never mind a takeover.

Agree1 Disagree0

Gandolph should be banned from this site, this kind of rubbish is a waste of everyones time in reading, and why do the eds allow it to pass to the pages when many other rumours and comments from REAL blues get rejected

Agree0 Disagree0

It's looking more and more likely that redknapp is leaving spurs and the guardian have moyes as the man to takeover,so why not Benitez with big dunk alongside if it's ok for players to switch sides why not managers, the only sticking point is he called us a small club so he will have some explaining to do there, but you cannot deny he's a top coach he took on real Madrid and Barcelona and beat them to the title and has clearly done more in the game than moyes ,weather he would be welcomed with open arms that's another matter

Agree1 Disagree0

So he'd managed a small club would he, and we'd accept that fat c#nt? doubtful in so many ways. think

Agree0 Disagree0

Tris this is getting a bit old mate

S.naismith, s.whittaker, S.davis fees dependent on rangers predicament moyes interested in all 3. nominal fees or free transfers.

With Rangers going under on Friday Everton to get Naismith on a free as all the Rangers players contracts will be terminated.

Believable16 Unbelievable17

The players contracts will be transfered to the new co along with all the other assets. it depends on the player if they want to be transferred. if they chose to leave they can for free.

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Jun 2012 12:25:56
Looks like Rangers could go to the wall on friday,so we may get Naismith free! {Ed001's Note - all the player contracts will revert to the SFA, you will have to agree a fee with them, but it will be lower than the Rangers asking price, I am sure. I believe that is what Everton were waiting on.}

Daily Mail reporting that fellani happy to consider move to Chelsea as he wants Champs League and will play with his friends in Hazard and Lakuku.......... Bummmmmerrr if happens.

Believable8 Unbelievable29

Listen guys if he goes {god knows i want him to stay} then he goes, yes i will be gutted but the club and the fans will still be there so lets not worry just yet. There will allways be other players out there that will come in.Terry blue

Agree1 Disagree0

The interview was on a belgium radio station and if you go on to the Bluekipper site the majority of the interview is on there and unlike the Daily Mail does not take it out of context.

Agree1 Disagree0

Read the whole article please, not just snippets, he says hes happy with us, if someone comes in and its right he may well leave, but hes enjoying playing at Everton so don't help this sort of stuff spread

Agree0 Disagree0

Please read the post two down from this from a chelsea sports editor both fellani and baines are happy at everton! please stop tje scare mongering and DON'T PANIC.....grbefc

Agree1 Disagree0

Im not scare mongering just forwarding on what i had read in a national newspaper, and as you can clearly see i said 'considering', i would say this comment is informative as oppose attempting to scare people...... also on that note to be Scared someone might leave our great club is a wee bit pathetic, a bummer - yes, replacable with right money - yes... much easier to replace than say Baines

Agree1 Disagree0

Fellaini made the perfect statement. He basically told Evertonians he is happy to wear the blue shirt, while at the same time telling Chelsea (or Real maybe) that he wants to play for them.

It was a politician's statement, and he pulled it off perfectly.

You can bet that behind the scenes, his dad will be touting him around.

In saying that, fair play to him for signing his contract last season. This gives us the upper hand, so the lad showed some loyalty by allowing us to get our money back should we sell him.

This is a reply from a Chelsea sports editor in a local newspaper to a Chelsea fan who was asking about Fellaini;

"Fellaini or Baines will not be made available by Everton and the club will only consider offers in the region off 20-25 million for either player I have been informed."
"It has become clear both players are happy at Everton but also open to moves if the club accepts a considerable offer so regarding Fellaini i will say maybe, if not both players will not force or cause a stir and will be happy to remain at Everton so it all depends on how much he wants him"
"This leaves Everton in a strong position however with both players coming out to say they are content at Everton and both stating that they wouldn't be fussed if the club refuses offers, basically the noises being made at the moment is that if a club is interested in either player the bid will have to substancial, weather Roman wants to end up paying over the odds is another story"
"Despite all the talk of the two players in question, rumours in our inner circle inform us that Phil Jagielka, who is currently on international duty with England at Euro2012 the player who is attracting interest, with Arsenal prepared to offer as much as 15 million for the 29 year old centre back, now that is a player I personally would like us to sign great cover for Terry and Cahill and much better than Luiz."

This was in the sports page, replying to a reader who is avid Chelsea fan and was asking there sports editor (who is a well informed person in regard to Premier League news) if Abromavic was interested in Fellaini why he went on about Baines and Jagielka i don't know, thought i would share anyway. Interesting reading!

Believable7 Unbelievable18

If clubs are offering 15mil for Jagielka, Everton need to take that, we need to think about money sadly, we are a business, and 15mil for a near 30yr old is good business for us, especially since his price will drop year by year now (Take Arteta as an example, we rejected a hefty bid (believed to be in the 20mil range from City, then the next season 10mil to Arsenal). Besides, I really do think for this Heitinga and Distin are the most compatible CB pairing, that is when we have looked our strongest.

It pains me to say this because Jags is a top professional, but 15mil for a player, who I personally wouldn't have in the starting XI, is business that is too good to refuse, of course, needs to be on the basis that Moyes sees ALL the money, if not, then don't bother, but if he does, he can pay for Pienaar and still have 11odd mil to spend and buy a new winger, new AM. I mean look what he did with 5.5mil, he would have double that now.

Also, great to hear that Baines and Fellaini are happy at Everton, they are our two most influential players, and if this club has ambition (which I would like to think we have a little bit, otherwise what is the point) we need to keep these two at the club.

Agree1 Disagree1

Good info m8 very informative thanks for passing it on,......tristen

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the paper?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Tris, that's the first sensible comment you have ever made lol

Guess who

Agree1 Disagree0

If at 10-15million bid for Jagielka comes in I'd bite their arm off. Yes he's very good, but we have Distin for another season at least, who's always consistent, Heitinga who's by far been our best defender last season and is very happy at the club. Plus Duffy coming through, and to find a cheap reliable defender as back up wouldn't be hard, maybe even Rodwell could get a shot.
