Hi Ed could you cast any light on how long it takes for due diligence to carried out on our books any info would be appreciated Cheers GuermseyBlue.

It depends on a number of factors GB, for example how many people and resources both the potential purchasers and the club are willing or able to put on the search. In addition the complex web of accounts, loans, expenses and ownership at the club could complicate the due diligence stage. I can't imagine the potential new owners wanting to hurry this process even though it might be beneficial to inject some funds before the end of the January transfer window. The two Americans have been given a six week period of exclusivity I understand which takes us to about the end of January so we will see.
