Ed had it been confirmed how long barkley is out for?

Believable6 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - no one can be certain yet blakey, he will be assessed over the next few days, but if its his metatarsal as feared, we are looking at 6 weeks mate..

Hi ed could you see us getting a loan signing to cover his position or would we recall one of the youngsters on loan? or even get ince in now and play him there

thanks

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i cant see us recalling a youngster eddy, but a loan or ince are deffo possibilities mate..

3 to 6 weeks confirmed.Huge loss for the derby.Always happens us for that game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Crazy how within a couple of weeks were so short, barkleys energy will be sorely missed in the middle

Roberto Mancini apparently wants Gareth Barry at Galatasaray in the Summer. Going to have to be quick if we want him permanently.

Manchester United fan here. Easy decision for Barry if that's case Everton all day long. Premier League Or Turkey? Come on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally think he will go, seems to have realised his england times up so what's the point in playing here? he could earn more money abroad?

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry is getting on a bit, and he could be a flop abroad because he has been playing in England for such a long time. It would also decrease his England chances IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - I totally agree mike..

Ed do you think we are close to signing this young striker from standard liege michy batshuay seem quite strong rumours about him?

Believable10 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - i would be guessing on how close we are juice, but we are in pole position mate..

I presume you're in possession of some inside info Ed025 as O' Keeffe is suggesting he's not even on the radar?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - as far as i have been informed DB, he has been the radar for a couple of months now mate..

Cheers Ed. He did also say McGeady wouldn't be signing until summer so maybe he can't be taken too seriously, or maybe he's under instructions to keep it under wraps.

Can't say I'm overwhelmed as I've not seen much of this kid other than YouTube footage but he is highly rated by most accounts. But I trust El Bob would've done his homework on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

One things for certain and that is that we need a striker with Jelavic going, someone like Batshuayi would be good, and surely it'd allow Roberto to make some big signings in the summer?

Just watching the highlights on sky snf and have to say the football we are playing is a joy to watch the true meaning of the beautiful game. If we can keep this up and strengthen when needed the title is ours within three years! IRWT COYB

Believable13 Unbelievable11

Agree. I saw our closing down is so tough. Bobby has already lifted our game. I can say 3 years may too long if we get the right choice from transfer market or our academy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately when permanently richer teams see our threat they will try to poach our best players or manager - they don't like anyone rocking the boat these days

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is closing in on Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi to boost his top-four hopes, writes Alan Nixon in the Sunday People.

Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have been linked with the 20-year-old Standard Liege star. But the Goodison club are ready to offer the £7million it takes to trigger a transfer clause in Batshuayi's contract.

If Martinez gets his man, it will clear the way for Hull target Nikica Jelavic's exit.

Batshuayi's agent Christophe Henrothay, who has strong links with the Toffees through other players, said: "The situation is simple. If a club triggers his release clause, he can sit down and start negotiating with them."

Would much rather sign lukaku kenwright has to make cash available for us to sign him put some money in for once

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed039's Note - It will take a mighty fee to sign Lukaku on a permanent deal)

He doesn't have that much money, shakey. It's not that he's being tight, it's like me saying to you, 'come on, buy us a £25m pound player already. If he had more money, we'd get more money.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 million would get him I think Ed, not completely out of the question I honestly think with the Jela money we could squeeze that. We should defo try for him

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed039's Note - I honestly dont think Chelsea would sell for £20m, especially when next season they are going to be looking for another striker, I think he will get game time, and I dont think Everton will be paying £20 million either, even with money for Jelavic

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CREATE A PROFILE AND LOG IN TO POST GUYS. I have let this one through but only registered profiles will be having their posts logged :)

Hope this isn't true. The lads attitude stinks and he will cause nothing but trouble and ruin our team spirit

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Richris, but this kid plays and lives in Belgium. What would you know about his character?

Agree1 Disagree0

Read a Belgian football experts review on ssn who went on about his poor attitude so would think it's pretty accurate
