Good old Davey playing for a draw..negative bloke. {Ed025's Note - hardly played for a draw!...battered them, without the killer instinct..

Believable1 Unbelievable18

Can't believe people still have a downer on Moyes we should all be just praying he doesn't leave us, can't see who would do a job like he has done with no resources COYB stick together

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha the blue union, I almost forgot about them. What a joke they were

Agree0 Disagree0

Hav a word lad

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been negative in the past but not so much these days. The only negatives are his substitutions, which are baffling at the best of times. Always leaves it too late. It was clear Swansea came for a point therefore negating the need for Neville to sit in. He could have gone with Hitz and brought Vellios on earlier but to say he was negative ? Behave

Agree0 Disagree0

OP talking through his behind.. Oh and second poster, BU are massive Moyes fans!! They're opposed to a regime who lie to their fans and fail to attract investment!
As for NEGATIVE and playing for a DRAW!
Just so clueless!

Heitinga "injured" again, he says on twitter.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Time to get rid--the most over rated player to put on the royal blue jersey

Agree0 Disagree0

He says he's injured but he's been dropped because of a poor attitude in training. he's being offered around to anyone that'll take him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you hear that about his attitude? I find it very hard to believe, he's always the last player off the pitch after aplauding the fans adn whilst he`s been out his tweets offered support to the team which does strike me of someone who has a bad attitude.

Agree0 Disagree0

We startin to sound like the bunch across the park now, heitenga, great year last year, a full season, he plays couple bad games this season and you say get rid, anichebe, 4 or 5 years of nuthin, couple good games and he is now a top player, lets get real.true blue efc 4 life

Agree0 Disagree0

The current player of the season at Goodison Park, how can anyone say he's got a bad attitude?
Ste Old Swan

Agree0 Disagree0

You can do a switcheroo on that though. Been at the club for 3 years and been crap for two. His head is never right and he's looked a liability this season. Big Time Charlie I reckon. I still haven't got over him saying he's one of the top 5 centrebacks in the world cos he played in a world cup final! JP

Vadis is in Liverpool to discuss a loan, probably the usual twitter talk but let's hope!

Believable8 Unbelievable5

12 Jan 2013 17:34:27
I hope its true, our squad is at it limits.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville to be frank was just really average today in the middle of the park to say the least and when Moyes took him off and dropped Fellaini back it effected our play and changed the whole dynamic. We are in need of a real commanding rock in midfield who can pass forward and is comfortable on the ball, this guy looks like he is just that, so figures crossed!

Agree0 Disagree0

Vadis aint in Liverpool to sign he is still here in Marbella unless he has a twin, i watched him play Saturday and i hope we do get him he is class.

moyes won't sign anyone we are already in debt but would love us to sign sinclair

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Poor comment, pretty much football clubs are in debt of some kind. If football worked like that no one would get signed. We may have money in the accounts to spend but still be in debt as the banks allow it as they consider it a good debt (asset) which they are guaranteed to make a constant flow of interest on. We should have a few quid spare in our accounts from recent sales so to write of making any signings due to the debt is wrong, it would be up to BK and Moyes and how much is there.

Agree0 Disagree0

We were in debt when we broke our record when signing felli, we have been in debt a long time and still bought players!

and on sinclair, no chance, he has already played for 2 clubs this season, can't play for a 3rd

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times--sinclair cannot play for another club this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we can afford Sinclair... scored a great overhead in 1997.

Think we will get rooney back sooner than you think

Believable17 Unbelievable18

I wudnt want him bac I know he helped the club with the fee we got but it was is attitude wen he went ther think he 4got we made him his head swelled with greed and fame no thanks with moved on !

Agree0 Disagree0

If we show that we can compete for trophies and have the financial clout to do it, albeit with a new owner who can provide, then of course Rooney will come back. Rooney left us remember for football reasons to win trophies, we were in a different place as a team than we are now, and he can see that. He loves Everton, and if he returned it would be like the Messiah, believe me, the Rooney haters would welcome him with open arms providing he can still do the business on the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

Move on, he's over rated. JP

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because you think it, doesn't mean it will happen! Nonsense!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Overated? you are havin a laugh.rooney is one of the best players in the world and no one could blame him for wanting to go and win trophies plus we couldnt afford to pay him what he was worth and we needed the money.rooney will come back and if we can get this new owner Kenwright keeps promising us then he could be sooner than you think

COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll always be one of our own, we couldnt match his ambition at the time rightly or wrongly (which mainly he's achieved). For me he is still up there with the best European players and if we can get that into our team it can only make us stronger. Still love Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rooney did ever come back it would be a novelty/luxury buy. There are far more important roles we need to be filling and strengthening right now (present day) to even care about if Rooney may come back if we get investment to be quite honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he's a good player but where would he fit in and we don't have the finances to support his wage demand

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to throw a different perspective on the reason why Rooney left us. I was very fortunate twelve months after the Rooney deal to sit next to and share time with a guy on a flight to Nice. This guy proved to be the infamous Willie McKay who is the biggest and most successful football agent in Europe. This guy funds most deals that come from France and many other countries and instigates, and has an interest in most of the big deals involving British and European clubs. This guy is the top of the tree in his business. Paul Stretford who is Rooney's agent works with / for McKay. During this flight McKay told me many, many stories and I did not want the flight to land. AS an Evertonian we discussed Rooney and he explained that he was directly offered Rooney by Everton, initially to go to Chelsea. Kenyon who was at Chelsea at the time, refused the offer of Rooney because Kenyon believed that Rooney was much too young for the London scene at that stage in his career. Rooney was then offered to Ferguson, who as we are all now aware done a deal with Everton. The key to this is that Rooney did not want to leave his beloved Everton and that on the day he found out he was to be sold it destroyed him, he broke down / sobbed and similar on the day of his transfer finalisation.
McKay then explained that the reason Everton sold Rooney goes back to the Kings Dock project and when Gregg was involved with Everton. Gregg (And others) had invested heavily in the Kings Dock project in the belief that the new stadium was a formality. When this did not transpire then Gregg (And certain other investors) demanded that the club repay them. The only way to repay these temporary investors was to sell Rooney. Please don't blame Rooney. Rooney did not wish to leave. This was purely down to repaying money to investors / opportunists and disingenuous so called Everton fans.
Willie McKay told me so many interesting events / stories about other clubs, players it was an eye opener during my time with him. I shared a lift from the airport and he dropped me off in Nice as he continued to Monaco. Gave me his mobile number and suggested to keep in touch and call him should ever I need tickets etc. Still have the number today although I've never called as I feel that I had the best from him during the flight.

What a load of crap.
An old mate of mine's uncle(Dave Higgins Tranmere) used to get info from Stubbs and we heard a completely different version of events from that time.
Ferguson had been watching Rooney since he scored a free kick against Villa (youth teams) and told Everton to name their price. He wanted to go and we wanted to sell. End of story. There's no romantic scenario involving that rat. His family pushed for the deal and were always expecting it to happen. We offered him £50,000 a week and promised to build a team round him. Not sure why when we were commited to selling. Maybe a last minute change of heart or a smokescreen for the fans.
Pablo

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, think people need to realise that we needed to sell Rooney, because financially, as he pointed out, we were screwed. He saved this club from the rubbish, and his fee played a major part in our rebuilding phase which has seen us competing for Europe.

As for Rooney, you would be mad not to take him back, the quality on the pitch, he is world class and if his head is screwed on, can take us onto that next level. Keep an eye on the contract, runs out when he is 28/29, and given that he actually really does love this club, wouldn't surprise me, crazier things have happened in football!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wayne Rooney is on £250,000 a week at United! Would you take a 66% wage cut... Can't see this happening for 5 or 6 years!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest, Rooney could retire tomorrow and still be financially well off to fund his own and an entire 3 generations of family life to a comfortale lifestyle from what he's earned at nited, so don't harp on about if he drops wages.... £50K a week i still a lot of money. If he was a true evertonian, like the rest of us on here we would play for our club for nothing, so taking a drop to £50K sounds sweet don't you think? can see him returning to us to play the end of is career from a free transfer, as again lets be honest, the players hold he aces when it comes to deciding where he wants to play and how much his contract is worth.
