Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

He ed, been glued to this site for a long time now and over here in ireland I rarely hear of any rumours regarding everton. I've recently heard a rumour and its just a rumour and hopefully that's all it will stay. But i've heard that if Arsenal fail with their attempts to sign Daniel Agger that they will turn to our very own Phil Jagielka. It was also mentioned that RM would consider the move as he's looking for ball playing centre halves and he's not convinced with that jags is that comfortable with the ball at his feet. Hopefully its a load of crap, and as we've proved all summer we're not a selling club. Unlike others!

Doesnt matter if they want him or not, he's said very clearly he would never go to arsenal, he's our captain and is better than both koscielny and mertesacker, he's english too not to mention his outstanding loyalty, they have no chance, let them have liverpools fifth choice centre back, they will have to pay big money for either player, arsene can't risk loaning them, he doesn't do loans does he? Like song, try before you buy, he's a hypocrite, stubborn and above all else? Bitchy

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't really see jags interesting arsenal or arsenal interesting jags. We'd probably want 10-15m for him which no one would pay. But thanks for passing on the rumour anyway haven't had any decent transfer gossip for ages waiting for henen and atsu is boring.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's a load of crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

The original post is a good story for this website - this is a RUMOURS website after all - but I agree with the replying posters who just don't see there being much mileage in this story.
On the other hand, despite RM being (seemingly) over-loyal and sticking with the likes of Robles (and imho one or two other ageing and/or under-performing players), I reckon that he would actually be quite ruthless in moving players in/out if he believed it would leave us with a stronger squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

If arsenal came in for anyone I would rather it be Alcaraz!! Lol

Agree1 Disagree0

If a good price could be reached I would go for this before it is too late. I don't understand why Arsenal wouldn't want as ball playing Centre Half though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe alcaraz was sent by epl to destroy everton. that's just my opinion. I hope I never see that guy ever put on a toffees jumper. I was fuming at the tv in that game against man city at the end of last season

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2014 06:19:47
You were fuming? I was happy with his performance

Ed any truth in this Ben arfa rumour or just bull mate

Believable1 Unbelievable11

{Ed025's Note - there are whispers dixie, but it seems unlikely to me mate..

I know it's just hearsay, but his alleged attitude/character doesn't seem to be what RM has said he wants to bring into the squad, although he is undoubtedly a highly skilful footballer.

ED -Is Atsu confirmed now subject to work permit? will this be the last of the deals done until January now?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - the paperwork is not complete yet reefa, but it looks very likely mate, and there are still deals to be done..

Is the only deal to be done you think ed the henan deal or more apart from that

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i expect another one at least john, but maybe not before the season starts mate..

Any idea who ed or at least what position you think it will be

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note -i expect one to be a defender john and possibly an attacking mid mate..

Ed025: A defender? I find that surprising, as we look to have plenty in the squad, but what do I know :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - as much as me i suspect sid, but for me we do need cover for the right side of defence..

Biabiany being strongly links with a move to Everton

Would this be the same player who earlier this year extended his contract with Parma until 2018?

Agree1 Disagree0

Shout Sid lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour getting stronger

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - only from you mate..

Not only from him ed been reported across a few sites sky Italia too maybe something init and contracts mean nothing these days only have to look at suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2014 22:37:38
Apparently West Brom had a £6m bid for him turned down last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not only from me lol most reports are suggesting now lol

Agree0 Disagree0

When will people realise that these sort of stories are almost always just one single original story (that in itself is often questionable) that's being picked up by other media outlets and is simply being repeated. Just because a story is being reported in several media outlets, it doesn't mean it's been independently verified by each of them and it therefore doesn't make it any more accurate. I don't doubt that Everton are interested in lots of players and might even have had discussions with the parties concerned, but that doesn't mean that the media outlets who report this interest have actually checked with the club. I remain convinced that most stories are just regurgitations of info being peddled by press agencies, or the concerned parties (seeking PR), or - very rarely - some proper investigation by that most rare of creatures: a dedicated journo (and that'd usually be a local reporter who specialises in a particular club) who actually takes the time to check the story for accuracy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the voice of reason as usual sid..

Ok let's all remain doom and gloom then and say Everton are not going to sign anyone else. Must say some of our fans can be a bit strange at times

Anything on this Henen deal lads? Has BK agreed to pay the £3M + 20% sell on profit?

Believable6 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - not yet jay..

If we don't cough up we will definitely regret this one in 4-5 years!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's such a hot prospect, why aren't there any rumours about loads of other clubs being in for him? I'm not knocking his qualities (I've never seen him play), but normally there are plenty of rumours about plenty of players during transfer windows, but nothing more than some "interest" by the likes of Arsenal seems to be the size of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? He has been training with us. We know how much Bobby likes youngsters and if he felt he was special and on a par with Ross for example he would make it happen. If it doesn't happen it's not because we have not scouted or checked him out properly and it won't be money either

Just on ssn.
Coleman fit after scan, looks good for Saturday!
good news, let's have Atsu & Henen I the squad too.

I (happy) Claudius.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

If we sign henen he will go into the under 21 squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope that Coleman really is fit, as hamstring injuries are supposedly very tricky and I'd hate to see players brought back too soon. Last season, imho our lack of squad depth led to players not being rested, rotated, and not getting time to fully recover.

Rumour has it eto'o is on his way too Lpool but we are going to try and sign him as backup to Rom.

Believable3 Unbelievable17

I just don't see us going for Eto'o, but stranger things have happened.

Atsu deal agreed 'in principle', David heenan to come then will that be us ready for the season boys?

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Don't think so mate they be at least 1 or 2 more signings

Agree0 Disagree0

If the youngsters who've been training and playing with the first team squad during preseason are deemed good enough by RM, then we probably won't bring in other transfers (permanent or loan) after Atsu (and hopefully Henen) - but if the youngsters don't measure up, then RM will surely bring in some experienced players and moves for those could take right up to the transfer deadline.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2014 19:07:27
I heard the same comment on the radio today whilst in the car. I'm not sure that I am confident the deal will be completed, why in principle and not just that he has been signed?

Hi ed just wondering of any potential transfers regarding Townsend or wickham both seem to be destined to leave this window just think they would both be rest additions and young too.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - i cant see any of them coming to us mate, or even leaving their parent clubs for that matter..

12 Aug 2014 13:33:53
Wicham will probably leave, I want neither though, townsend thinks he's robben but will never be fit to lace his boots and wicham had a good month last season, other than that? he's pretty useless and I bet sunderland fans would be over the moon with 6m for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember swan robben at one point thought he was ronaldo at te time he wasn't good enough to lace his boots but now he is after finding his feet at the right club. Who's to say Townsend who has bags of quality couldn't go down the same path at Everton. And with wickham he's the best young English striker out there apart from ings and the Sunderland fans wouldn't be happy with 6 considerin they payed about 6 and there backups altidore ha.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see either of those two players moving to us, but stranger things have happened.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2014 11:23:19
Check the sunderland banter, they would be chuffed with that, townsend literally runs up the wing, cuts in, shoots over the bar, rinse and repeat, he is struggling to get in the tottenham team ahead of a player who missed most of last season, had a couple decent games for qpr vs norwich and fulham, wicham, i'd say, is the only young english striker given a chance, mostly because of how bad the american anichebe is and how injury prone fletcher is, I don't doubt some of our strikers are better, just haven't been put in the squad yet

Agree0 Disagree0

More a query than a rumour, just watching the match preview of the UEFA super cup tonight and presenter highlighting dangermen, one being Carlos Bacca. He then added that he was subject to interest from Everton. Remember a few whispers a while back, anymore on this? or is it just another name in the mix.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - the latter i suspect hugster..

Dont think he is possibilty as he cost around 20 mil which I don't think we will spend but they have enough decent dangerman in kevin gramiero

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2014 17:01:27
He was the fall back plan if Lukaku didn't work out. We won't be able to afford him anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now that we've spent big on Lukaku - and considering the lone striker system that RM plays - I don't see us spending big again on someone just to deputise. More likely imho we'll go with the forwards we have in the squad (Kone, Naismith, McAleny, Long, Hope, etc.) and perhaps bring someone (like Traore) in on a season-long loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2014 10:27:24
Got It from A good Source we are in for Nani class addition if we get him

Believable2 Unbelievable16

{Ed025's Note - do you think pablo?..lazy man imo mate..

Totally agree Ed.

Agree2 Disagree0

Also agree past his best

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Aug 2014 10:58:32
Lazy and selfish, but capable of the spectacular. He'd be he focus a lot more for us than at United and I reckon he could thrive. Martinez got Deulofeu to work hard, and he was notoriously lazy, too.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he would have to take a big wage drop AB, hardly the motivation for an already lazy sod to pull his tripe out mate..

12 Aug 2014 11:12:56
No! Been crap for 3 years and is on massive wages, he's capable of the spectacular, once a season! Not a team player and hasn't progressed in a long time, bad waste of space we should stay away from

Agree2 Disagree0

Totally agree, swan. he's useless

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't think about the wages bit, to be honest. I do genuinely believe there is a world class player in there, but probably not worth the risk. Plus, Moyes (inexplicably) game him a new 5 year contract last year, so he'd likely be overpriced.

Agree0 Disagree0

I always defer to RM in his recruitment of players, but please not Nani!
