Apparently Martinez has enquired about bringing Arda Turan on loan because he can't play for Barce til January!

{Ed007's Note - Nothing will be decided until after the Barca presidential elections as Turan could still be sent back to Atletico if the new president wants to cancel the transfer.}

That's a good point Ed, though I still cannot rap my head around that transfer. They are going to send the lad back to athletico after he was so thrilled to have signed for them? Either way I would love to have him here if only until January.

It's a disgrace that Barca are allowed to conduct any such business while under a transfer embargo. What is the point in sanctioning them but letting them buy players? Makes no sense, there is no punishment or a deterrent if they can flout the rules. The only ones to be affected by the embargo is the players they sign as they can't play for them for 6 months or so! Football gets crazier by the year

Realistically, the only way to punish these clubs is with either a European ban or a points deduction or ideally, both. Uefa won't ban Barca though because the TV companies would be up in arms as would be the case domestically. It really is about time someone grew a pair in these situations.
