Henen brought back to everton.
From what I've seen in u21s he wasnt very good.
Same at fleetwood scoring once.

All the trouble we had getting him too.
Next season i'd loan him to villa or sunderland if he doesn't cut it get rid!

11 Apr 2016 22:41:34
. so you think 2 seasons of complete failure and bottom half of the table finishes warrants him staying on then? I won't be renewing my season ticket for next season until the muppet is gone!

Too many variables in the equation to even hazard a guess. For example, what will we do with the remaining games in the league? How will we do in the cup semi-final and the final if we win the first game? Who is available who would be a marked improvement on Martinez (yes I know, anyone) ? What position will Kenwright take on replacing Martinez? Who will make the decision, the board? How quickly will Moshiri get involved in such decisions?

I will be renewing my season ticket, this year, next year and every year until I can't for whatever reason.

You not renewing will not change anything whatsoever. The club will either sack Martinez or not, and it will have little to do with a few supporters not renewing.

I will be supporting the team on the pitch whenever I can, irrespective of my feelings on Martinez. I don't have a clue why any long term season ticket would not renew 'in protest'.

Renewed mine already. i'm an everton fan doesn't mean I like the management of the team.

. Ed, you've mentioned in a number of posts of late about the fact that David Moyes is very likely to be strongly considered as Evertons next manager. I'm sort of getting the impression that you might have some inside knowledge on this being true? I think we're so far gone as a team and squad just now languishing in 14th place that maybe what we need is a bit of stability back in the short term. so maybe give Moyes the job for 1-2 years and see where we are at that point as to whether or not he can take us any further than he did last time with the cash at his disposal which he didn't have last time. watching Leicester yesterday reminded a bit of Everton under Moyes when he was last in charge. yes, not always a pretty game but uncomplicated football, defending well with that cutting edge up front in Vardy and Mahrez. so I guess if Leicester can win the league playing that style of football with a great spirit then just maybe Moyes could at Everton. after all, he does have unfinished business here to undertake as he is yet to win anything for us long suffering blues. as you say Ed - there has to be a long term plan and maybe this is the answer as at the moment we all want quick fixes whether it be top named managers or splashing the cash. but the fact is we already have a great team/ squad which needs to be managed properly and not the way it currently is by you know who. a week ago I would never of entertained these thoughts. but there has to be a longer term plan for success which I guess involves different stages and processes at the top to bring us back from the mire where we currently are!

The only way Martinez could go is if we don't win the cup and our league form (which is highly likely) gets worse. With the investment we now have, if we are to be taken seriously we need a big name who can attract big players and make the "better" players we have stay imo. I really don't think he will go even if we don't win the cup but hope i'm wrong because I can't stand his sh*t any longer.

I believe Martinez has said today he would die if it would get us winning.
I think this could be a plan lol the best words he has said in a while, petty I do not believe a word he says.

In response to Eds suggestion below, I did some research on Lucien Favre. Other than being vaguely aware that he did good work at Gladbach I can't say I know too much about him.

He's been credited with reviving a sleeping giant in German football (Gladbach) and taking them from relegation material to champions league in a few seasons. He's also credited with developing Marco Reus and Ter Stegen through the youth system.

This is a very good article on his tactics at Gladbach for those interested. Sounds perfect for Everton and reminds me of what Leicester are doing this season.

My only worry would be how different he is from Martinez in his tactics - potentially putting the likes of stones and Barkley back in their development having spent the last few seasons learning a more possession based style.

I for one think that this guys style is more suited to our play. And he's available! Great shout Ed, thanks for the heads up!

Hello there fellow blues.
Now don't know if this is a rumour or not lol.
Now I live in a small town called Great Yarmouth. The irony is. It isn't that great, anyways. I swear to the big man upstairs. I've just seen Tim Howard. The beard, the bald head the eyes. If it wasn't him then it literally was his identical twin. He was driving a lime green car, I probably should of took note of the make of the car, but I was too busy thinking what the fudge and working out if it was or wasn't. I'm writing this here because Norwich city is the major football team round here and they have previously brought our keepers. Probably nothing but it got me excited and I thought I'd spread the news.
Can anyone shed any light.

Which will come first the announcement of a new manager or new stadium your thoughts Ed.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hopefully a new manager skylark as i dont see the new stadium being on the agenda until later on in the year mate..

11 Apr 2016 17:08:17
When a football club like everton go in for a new manager do we sort it out behind the back of the existing management or will he be informed or sacked first then start looking is it all cloak and daggers or will it be out in the open I no we all have are own ideas as to how it happens but just wondering Ed if you could enlighten us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - there will be a shortlist skylark it will probably be about 3 or 4 possible candidates and will depend on availability, things will go on behind the scenes and managers approached underhandedly in the same way all clubs do but will never admit to mate..
