Hate it when we have no games. Since it is quite I thought I would ask a question about where supporters were born. By the way no disrespect to those not born in Liverpool, they are the greatest for supporting Everton.
I was born on the 18th February 1940 in the old Mill Road Hospital. Always been proud that my birth certificate states I was born in the sub district of EVERTON.

Anyone else have the same? Six months after I was born the Germans leveled the Maternity Ward killing many Mothers and Babies.
Mill Road Maternity Unit was closed in 1993 so you have to be older than 32 if you were born there.
Transferred by my company to the USA in 1978, still miss Liverpool although it has changed a lot since since my youth.

Your a bit older than me mate I was born in 1949 in Guernsey 4 yrs after the Second World War and after being the only place in the British Isles to be invaded by the Germans in 1939 through to 1945,we hold our liberation every year on May 9th the day we were liberated by British troops, have seen two Everton games over here in Guernsey when Howard Kendall brought the Team over, I was so lucky I met with Howard and the Team after one of the games and he gave me his Everton tie as a souvenir which I still have, I hope to get over to the new stadium in the new year looking forward to that mate.

15 Nov 2025 19:49:28
Think I was Mill Road in 84. Whippersnapper compared to you two! Left the city in 2002 and briefly returned for a few years in the 2010s but now supporting from afar. Desperate to get up to the new stadium with my lad but he’s fairly young for the colourful language of the Premiership games.

Plus, getting hold of a ticket seems crazy unless you are willing to sell a kidney to pay for one.

15 Nov 2025 20:34:20
Me mum was born in mill road meself I was born in 89 at Whiston hospital can't class the 95 fa cup final as would of been 6 years old but hopefully fingers crossed be nice to see us win a trophy in future.

15 Nov 2025 20:39:27
Guernsey, I believe Jersey was also occupied by the Germans.

15 Nov 2025 20:39:53
Hell of a decade the 80s for the Toffees mate, what a Team Brilliant footy.

{Ed025's Note - yeah great times GB..

16 Nov 2025 10:04:49
To all the above posters, I was born in 1942 in Yorkshire and moved to Liverpool area around 1954. Went to watch Everton just before Jonny Carey was sacked by John Moore’s and remained an Evertonians since.

How I would love to see the teams that Harry Catterick put together playing for the club today. I think all of the players would walk into any Premier clubs team if playing today.

16 Nov 2025 13:27:56
I was born in Sefton General in 1958. Brought up in Moon Street in the City centre (University built there now) . Got moved out of the city at 8 and lived in Southdean Road, and went to St Dominic’s school for good catholic boys and girls ?
Lived in Tuebrook for a while when older then moved to London and started my own print buisness.

Sold that and now retired to become a full time grumpy bugger.

{Ed025's Note - i was born at home in Barnet St Edge Hill in 1958 weighing in at 2Lb, kept in a drawer until i got bigger, went to St Hugh,s catholic school then Sir Thomas A Becket until i left, served my time as a street mason pavior then worked for the council for 40 odd years, retired now but still do little jobs to keep the wolf from the door..

16 Nov 2025 15:45:54
Agree Pojo the Channel Islands were invaded by the Germans which are made up of Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Sark and Herm mate.

16 Nov 2025 21:38:14
I was born in 1977 down sarf! Medway towns to be exact

Had a mate who was a bit older than me I looked up too and he supported Everton - I copied him at the age of 7 or 8 and I’ve followed them ever since ……. as does my son too from birth as is 20 now . The daughter who is coming up to 4 also has a few kits and has memorised a few songs word for word which is quite funny to watch! EVERTON * clap clap clap * EVERTON * clap clap clap* WE’RE FOREVER EVERTON!

16 Nov 2025 23:58:30
Born in teesside in 1978 but from county durham.

17 Nov 2025 01:59:18
Liverpool women’s hospital in 1998

Never seen us win anything and my greatest memories are still beating Arsenal 3-0 in Martinez’s first season and our brief Europa League run the following season.

17 Nov 2025 08:48:49
Born in a hospital called the Coombe in Dublin in 1981. Been a toffee since 85. Haven't had much to cheer since but what can you do.

17 Nov 2025 08:50:09
I'm very fortunate Swan, watched the team run around the pitch with the First Division Trophy and was at Wembley in 1966 when I was about your age and again in 1995 when they won the cup.

I hope that you see us win something before you become an old man like me. It would also be nice if I could see us win something again before I get old!

17 Nov 2025 13:24:36
You've seen it all then BlueMike. I was lucky enough to understand what was going on with football at a young age and got to see mostly of the fabulous 80s team. Then in 9t I thought we had finally turned the corner and would start winning cups znd future titles along the way. i'm still bloody waiting lol.

Scottish Football's European Reality Check

Who drops out of the back c/defenders if Branthwight is back? Answer, know one, we simply move Keane to centre forward. Hell we couldn't do worse, at least till the Jan window.

Agree0 Disagree2

15 Nov 2025 19:04:58
I said that a while ago Always blues, tongue in cheek as Keane is for corners and set pieces, doesn't have the pace either.

15 Nov 2025 19:52:00
I’d say Tarks should be the one to step back out of him and Keane.

It’s transformational how Keane doesn’t look like giving away a goal every time he touches the ball. Long may it continue. Bargain of the summer for us. If only we had bought someone who can score a goal… we’d be in European places! Give Keane a go up front. Can’t be any worse than what we’ve had. Maybe play him alongside Barry.

16 Nov 2025 23:59:37
Remember in the 90s when teams started using centre halves as strikers. Paul Warhurst was banging em in for Sheffield Wednesday.

14 Nov 2025 17:49:07
Anyone know what happen with Roman Dixon? Featured prominently in pre season a couple of years ago and looked decent, albeit very attacking minded, had a rough Prem debut then disappeared.

Not saying he's the solution by any means, but our right back situation has been so bad I'm surprised he's not even been considered - or, if he simply isn't up to it, why has he never even been loaned out?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2025 18:09:49
Also Alexb what's happened to Reece Welche.

15 Nov 2025 07:31:43
Didn't Dixon get a bad injury? Welch was noted as training with the 1st team this week. If Garner or Coleman start at rb then that's sound, OBrien Didn't do much wrong but is simply a better cb than rb.

i'm not overly worried by the rb situation.
Goals is the biggest concern, I'm confident Barry will come good given time but like most on here we do need a goal scorer in Jan ideally, but who?

15 Nov 2025 16:31:56
Had a bad injury and I don’t think he’s very highly rated at the club.

17 Nov 2025 00:00:42
I think there was talk of selling him in window just gone but is injured i think.

14 Nov 2025 09:25:41
Good to see Seamus played 90 minutes last night against Portugal. Looking at the way the team lined up it appears O’Brien played on the right of a back 3 with Seamus in a right wing back role. Anyway minutes in the bank for Seamus. I’m not suggesting bringing him in to the starting 11 but at least he’s an option.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Nov 2025 11:03:43
I’m hoping the more games he plays the less likely he is to get injured again

Always a solid option

Actually incredible how he went from being a very attacking right back who was limited defensively to an insanely good defender when his legs started to go.

14 Nov 2025 12:03:54
Absolutely brilliant high accolades to Jake and Seamus from the media well done lads good win.

14 Nov 2025 16:53:09
Swan, you said he was 200, not bad for such an old fart! Read O'Brien has Diabetes, he seems to handle it very well. We tend to gorget these athletes are normal human beings with their own health issues.

14 Nov 2025 17:37:10
Yeah type 1 he found out when he was 14 horrible illness i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. can be hard at times to keep it under control but drinking doesn't help lol.

14 Nov 2025 17:46:10
I'd have him ahead of O'Brien for the RB position hierarchy. Behind Garner, but definitely ahead of O'Brien.

14 Nov 2025 06:01:03
Anyone seen much of the Coventry striker we have been linked with hadji Wright ???think that's how you spell it.16 game's in the championship 9 goals so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2025 11:04:36
He’s 27 and hasn’t exactly been prolific since he joined them.

No thank you.

14 Nov 2025 12:33:18
If one of our strikers had 7 goals we’d be in the top 4.

14 Nov 2025 17:41:00
Cheers swan I don't like Googleing players i would sooner hear what people think that have actually watched him ?? and by the replays not many have ????.

13 Nov 2025 18:22:06
Well I never I have just seen a question on Tv, which Team colour has won the most matches since 1946 to the present day, red white or blue, you guessed it red, no wonder we lose out on VAR hmmmmm.

Agree3 Disagree3

13 Nov 2025 18:45:24
Many Teams lose out on VAR and every Team think VAR is against them. Yet every season Teams vote to let VAR stay. My take is ever since referees turned pro the standard has been atrocious. As for VAR, the fact they look at replays over and over to get a decision means it is/was not clear and obvious. Very surprised that fact is not raised.

13 Nov 2025 19:09:32
Agree mate.

14 Nov 2025 09:33:53
Use VAR purely for offsides. No going back and looking for reasons to disallow a goal. If offside can't be decided immediately (say 10 sec for example) then go with the onfield decision. If the error is that small I think most people would accept it.

16 Nov 2025 11:08:50
Also I don't see how a players toes are offside it can be called a clear and obvious error by the linesman.

13 Nov 2025 17:50:30
Does anyone know if our new owners have actually attended a Premiership ship match yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2025 11:05:22
I’m not sure, I know they tend to stay out of the actual football affairs and run it like a business, hence why we don’t see them on the radio talking to Jim White every day

Thank god.

14 Nov 2025 15:46:10
Amen to that Swan ?.

Why Liverpool Should Revisit The Diamond Formation

We all agree another striker is needed and Beto needs to be allowed to leave. I appreciate his hard work while he's been here, been a top professional but he's not good enough long term.

We all agree a natural right back is needed as Coleman is 200 years old, O'Brien is a centre back and Patterson is garbage. Garner is very good there but some games we may need more pace there.

But seemingly most people are fine with our left back, I have to ask, why? He doesn't cross the halfway line, when he does, his end product is terrible, he never wants the ball, he can't defend and athletically he's so poor. Statistically he's actually worse than Cuco Martina was for us, yes, RIGHT BACK at LEFT BACK CUCO MARTINA was statistically better for us than Mykolenko.

Agree3 Disagree2

12 Nov 2025 20:43:57
Can't argue with any of that mate think we definitely need a rb fought aznou would of been playing by now he in my opinion should be taking mickys role and a center forward is a must like aswell.

12 Nov 2025 23:59:56
Been wanting him replaced for years Swan. 2 good games against Salah and Saka has warped some fans takes on him.

13 Nov 2025 11:25:16
Please don't exaggerate Swan, Coleman is still a young man, by my standards anyway! Can't understand the strategy of recruiting young players like Aznou and Dibling and not giving them a chance. It seems that the management recruiting team and Moyes are on a different wavelength. We obviously need a center-forward and a right-back but have needed those positions filling for years.

What happens to Aznou if we recruit a new left-back?
So we recruited Alcarez, Aznou, Dibling, Rohl and they have not featured much. If Moyes does not give them playing time before the African Tournament he will be saying that they are not ready.

13 Nov 2025 13:11:03
Completely agree on all points Swan. I thought the summer window was generally very good, but kept waiting each day for when we'd move for a right back, and spent all deadline day waiting for it, only for us to only get Rohl and seemingly make little effort elsewhere. For there to be such an enormously glaring hole in the squad go unaddressed for an entire window, then for that enormously glaring hole to prove to be, shockingly, an enormously glaring weakness, is criminal. Genuinely think there needs to be accountability for that sort of thing.

In terms of Mykolenko, sticking on the theme of accountability; allowing Benitez to sell Digne, replace him with Myko for the same money, then sacking Benitez a couple of weeks later, is also criminal - and it's not like we even made a profit in the deal. We just swapped a left back who would still be a strong first team player for someone whose greatest strength is that you forget he's on the pitch. 3 assists in over 100 games from left back is absolutely shocking, and i don't think any of them have been from crosses. I think he might genuinely have never made a successful cross for us.

Also, absolutely classic Moyes to sign something like Aznou then not even give him a second. How bad can he think he is for that to be the case? And if he feels he's too defensively frail, throw him on at left wing. Just give the poor lad at least 2 mins so we can see if he is as bad as Moyes clearly thinks.
