Always rated davis the LB for Ipswich was going to message b4 he scored reminds me of a fit luke shaw but they also have a number 8 called eghill or something who is 1 to keep an eye on he is a forward playing on the wing 19 years old 1st touch awesome looks a big lad aswell.

Don't normally watch championship but there are some bargains there.

Garner and Tim in CM
Or
Garner and Dewsbury-hall, Bring Alcaraz in at 10.

Agree1

28 Nov 2025 18:38:27
The latter for me Bunks.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 19:39:07
Newcastle’s midfield is far too physical I think for KDH and Garner. Tim should be brought in.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 19:51:44
I said that on another post JB but think he will start Tim i do like Tim and if he starts i hope he takes his chance he does get his long legs in and intercepts when I'm not expecting him to. Just needs to watch the runners inbehind him more.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 20:00:13
He’s been hit and miss for me, mostly miss.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 20:52:48
I just want him to get his form back from when we 1st signed him b4 the injuries when he played along idrissa. Now we want him to step up and replace YODA. (Idrissa)

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 23:11:29
I’d like to see KDH play deeper and get Alcaraz running at the Newcastle defenders. It worked last time we played them so we’d be well placed to do it again with us at home.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 23:30:59
Actually thought Tim played well at right back when he came on. Perhaps there’s a future for him there. Get Gardner back in midfield then.

Agree0

29 Nov 2025 10:34:34
Moyes rates KDH as the 10 and in a system (striker still needed) that works well. Once AFCON comes the likes of Dibling and Alcaraz will be slotted in.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 11:02:12
Grealish an excellent player but why the reluctance to shoot.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 13:24:33
I think pep drilled it out of him with wanting him to pass all the time. Hopefully he will start shooting again and are forwards will get the tap ins from the keepers parries. Can't wait for tomorrow 3.2 I'm going for COYB'S 💪💪💪💪.

Agree1

28 Nov 2025 15:23:06
It's not only Grealish, I wish players like Barry would try to shoot more from distance like DH did against United. For some reason the modern footballer sees to have it drilled into him to pass rather than shoot. The tendency these days is to try to run the ball into the net.

Agree1

28 Nov 2025 20:00:15
It is annoying when u could cross it or shoot but end up going back to the keeper to keep posestion. Get to the byline and cut it back simple.

Great to see that video of Idrissa and Keano in training. Team look together for once.

Just seen that mate, great stuff. Goes to show that there is no hard feelings between the two and that, although it was questioned by some, the dressing room seems to be pulling in the same direction.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 07:57:17
Good to see onwards and upwards mate.

My money would be on keano 👊👊👊.

Agree2

28 Nov 2025 18:48:37
Dm, read a few articles that questioned whether there was more to it rather than a moment of madness. I wasn't suggesting that people in this forum had said as much although, reading back, it could seem that way mate.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 23:07:29
I certainly questioned it DMS. Within 13 mins of a game after one United chance. It reeked more than just that game for me. All very odd behaviour.

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 22:53:35
Idrissa getting no younger an will likely need replacing in the summer with a starter who can battle in the middle. I think as well as that, we need a decent dictator in there too. Someone who can get on the ball and manipulate the pace of the game and also play those killer passes.

Always tentative to rate players from the Dutch League highly, given how poor they translate to the PL but Joey Veerman doesn't rely on physical attributes for his game but pure technique. He is easily one of the best passing midfielders in Europe right now, he has enough experience at 27 and maybe won't be on the radar of the top top clubs.

Would love to see us take a look at him in the summer.

Agree0

lamine camara for me mate - i'd also like to see us go for kees smit.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 10:59:32
It could be fate! Boom boom!

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 15:58:50
Can't say I have seen much of Camara mate.

Kees Smit is a great shout though. I didn't want to mention him as well, as that would be another player from Eredivisie and we know what happened with a Mr Klaasen in the past haha. I also think Smit might be out of our reach. I read that Newcastle, Madrid etc are pushing for him in Jan but he wants guarantees of minutes. Not sure he will get that with the brilliant midfielders they have though.

Smit and Veerman would be the perfect blend to revamp our midfield. One dictating play. One breaking it up and breaking the lines in a swashbuckling manner.

One can dream hey mate.

what a chance we have of leapfrogging a few Teams above us with a win at home against Newcastle this weekend, really looking forward to this one so it’s once again 2-0 COYB.

Agree8

27 Nov 2025 18:06:30
Won’t be an easy game, but we should approach it with confidence. Loves KDH’s post match chat of developing an approach to take the game to teams and not sit back and wait. We’re far from the finished article though.

{Ed025's Note - but heading in the right direction JB..

Agree1

27 Nov 2025 18:18:24
Agree JB but suddenly with new players our footy is good and with a couple more additions we will be a match for anyone.

Agree2

27 Nov 2025 19:26:10
Newcastle haven’t travelled well this season so far. Hope that continues this weekend.

Would be a good time for Barry to get a brace. If the lad starts scoring, I think he could go on a bit of a spree like Beto last season.

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 20:00:59
Agree BR I never saw the footballer in him like some on here, but pleased to be proved wrong, he’s definitely improved and as you say once he hits the back of the net the floodgates will open hopefully, really good to be able to say I love watching Everton play football again.

{Ed025's Note - you have not been proved wrong yet GB, yes the lad is working hard but his job is to hit the back of the net on a regular basis and he has not hit it once yet, im still very sceptical as to whether he has the skill set to make it in this league mate but of course would love him to prove me wrong..

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 20:21:19
It will come mate hopefully on Saturday he will have his shooting boots on.

{Ed025's Note - we seem to be saying that every week GB..

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 21:10:36
We’ve got to get it right one week Ed.

{Ed025's Note - maybe Saturday is that time BR...lets hope so mate..

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 22:04:53
KDH and JG despite being at these big clubs and winning stuff seem to have their heads screwed on and know what it means to us. I hope their attitude affects the others then we’ll do alright.

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 22:39:59
Is that little rubbish who used to play for us fit to play?

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 22:40:00
The game at the weekend will be won in the midfield. That is unequivocally where the Barcodes are strongest with Bruno, Joeliton and Tonali. Gana will certainly big a huge miss in that regard.

The red card and the injury to Rohl couldn't have come at a worse time really, as I don't think Tim is defensively astute enough to play in the deeper role. I would personally prefer Tim to come in though, as I think he can get about the pitch better and is more physical to handle their lads.

Hopefully the atmosphere under the lights and momentum of our recent wins will help us get a decent result.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 03:05:41
Think we will win this one mate lads are playing well.

Agree1

28 Nov 2025 10:24:49
I know we was down to 10 men but I thought KDH was more effective playing deeper he isn't a number 10.

Agree1

28 Nov 2025 15:46:03
Agree Ron put him in for Gana and put Alcaraz in at ten.

Agree2

28 Nov 2025 20:55:48

Our owners will be able to take a good look at Franculino tomorrow. Hopefully they don't poach him for their own side as they are pushing for the title in Italy tbf to them and aren't blessed with a goal scorer themselves.

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 18:03:50
If he does come I hope he does better in real life than he has for me in Footy Manager, signed him, scored on his debut then injured his knee in training and out until April.

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 19:27:54
Hahaha that sounds a lot like how it would go for us in real life Swan. Screams of Gbamin.

Agree0

28 Nov 2025 01:48:28
Swan, get Castro in from Bologne, he's a machine on that game! Think we were linked with him for real a few weeks ago as well.

Agree0

26 Nov 2025 13:07:59
Gana red card took us equal with Arsenal on 110 red cards since the Prem started. Equates to 1 red every 12 games and 3 a season. Rather unsurprisingly big Dunc contributing the most with 8.

Agree0

26 Nov 2025 16:21:51
Still can’t wrap my head around so many of them, Allan, Rodwell, Hibbert, Cahill etc.

Agree0

26 Nov 2025 20:29:40
Definitely, swan, quite a few dodgy red cards just against our neighbours over the years!
Got to. admit though, I hate the way these stats only include the league in it's current format, totally disregarding that football existed before the it's. I'll have to google who has the most reds in the history of the English top flight.

Agree0

27 Nov 2025 12:43:16
That and we are one of only 6 clubs to be ever present in the Premier league so inevitably our red cards will be higher than most.
