Ed what happened to Gareth Barry? It's cooled down a bit.

PKBLUE

{Ed002's Note - Everton would like to do a deal for him.}

To all the Kenwright haters. You do know that all the money DOES NOT GO TO BILL Kenwright for example if Elstone has 10% of the share then he gets the 10% of 86 million and it is HIS choice to give the money to Everton Football Club or keep it for him self. And so on with other owners etc so if Bill Kenwright has the larger amount of the share let's say 30 % he gets 30 % of 86 million pounds and then decides the amount of money goes to Everton Football club from his share.

PKBLUE

1.) I believe Bill will discuss to Martinez for budget and target before share to shareholder.

2.) 13 May 2014 18:33:12
The same applies surely to running costs of the club then, that bill would only be accountable for his 30% share of costs. let's be sensible and consider not all monies into the club are not divided by shareholders but are invested into the business as it would in the business world. Shareholders then take a salary plus dividend from the club earnings as their income.

3.) Firstly Elstone is CEO he is an employee not a member of the board. Secondly any owner of the club could only get a dividends payout from profits not turnover. Why can't people understand that 86 million or whatever we get from tv money this year is not profit it is simply an increase in our turnover and therefore may relate to an increase in profits but not by 80 odd million, it's an increase in tv money by about 25?million which if out costs were comparable to last year means a profit increase from one million to 25-28 million not 80 odd as some seem to think, it's as if we never got money from sky before. Which if that was the case would have seen us bankrupt and non existent years ago

4.) Everton is a limited company and BK and other board members are the major shareholders. The idea that the board can just "divvy" up the money - other than by paying out a dividend (which I don't think they do) or pay themselves a salary or fees (which I don't think they do either) or pay themselves exorbitant expenses (which I think their do either) - seems ludicrous to me.
Maybe Bill Kenwright is expecting too much from potential investors - and is making our club too financially unattractive or is trying to retain control (and the chairmanship) - but IMHO his problem is merely that he's not Bill'ionaire' Kenwright.

5.) Text correction - it's a killer!
The comment about exorbitant expenses where my posting read "which I think their do either" should, of course, have read "which I don't think they do either").
I really should check my postings ;-)

6.) Wow. Only 2 words to summarise this doggerel. Unmitigated hogwash.

Ed are we looking at Defoe? would be a class addition imo

PKBLUE

{Ed025's Note - no mate..

27 Dec 2013 16:53:21
are we looking at Joe Ledely?

PKBLUE

{Ed025's Note - lets hope not PK.. :)

1.) Is he bad?

{Ed025's Note - no mate, just average..

2.) Average? Agree not as gifted as Barkley or Mcarthy & certainly would find it tough to get a game in your midfield but to say he average is really harsh. Chris30

24 Dec 2013 11:11:01
Ed honestly what is the worth of Bainesy in your opinion? 16 million + a player would do for me

PKBLUE

{Ed002's Note - Leighto Bainso would likely fetch between £15M and £20M if he were to be sold.}

1.) I think 20 Million is a deal that would work for everton. Baines is a fantastic LB, but 20 million for a 29 year old LB is a great deal. We are going to need a significant amount of money to buy a forward next year.

2.) By selling Baines we would be letting everyone know that our best players are for sale if the price is right. We should be keeping hold of Baines and his like and sending out the message that we are not a selling club and we are here to compete with one and all. Mike

3.) I'd take 20m. Once Lukaku returns we don't have a centre forward and that kind of money could find us one. Besides, Oviedo has done a great job as a stand in.

Pod

4.) All this about take this and that because of his age. Sorry guys stop talking rubbish. He is the best left back in the country. We need to sign him on 4 year deal and put end to it

We're just in a rut and Europa has a big role in that. We just need 2-3 in a row and we'll be back COYB!

I'm all for Martinez at Everton. But he really needs to have a plan B.I'm frustrated with our style of play.We need to mix it up with Lukaku. He's strong and we have to use his strength to our advantage. Martinez wants to make him a silky smooth striker like Aguero but that takes time.He needs to practice on his first touch. He really needs to use Lukaku in the right way. Surely it wouldn't harm Lukaku's progress by just switching his style for the last 10 minutes. I really think we need to give Martinez another season before we can make a judgement as he is relatively still young. It's the first time he has managed a club aiming for Europe. The only past experience he has is with Wigan. He needs to experience highs and lows and needs to learn. I hope the board give him at least another season and see the progress before making a decision.

PKBLUE

1.) Would you still give him another season if we are in the championship? I was all for the patience but we don't look capable of winning games playing the same boring predictable football

23 Dec 2014 10:40:34
We're only about 10 points behind 4th we can still do this.City won the league after a similar difference we can as well. COYB!

PKBLUE

{Ed025's Note - love your enthusiasm PK..

Cant believe the negativity on this site.

We lost to Manchester United away from home and I felt we always had the chance to win the game. United with players like DI Maria, Falcao, Rooney, Mata etc give the guys a break and get behind them.

PKBLUE

1.) Once a Blue didn't play.

What about the loss to the mighty Crystal Palace then. or the mighty Swansea. They have awful players and we still got beat by them.

We have been terrible all season, and Donkey looks like he couldn't care less this season.

We are Everton
#Wedontwinanything
That's what we do

2.) Swansea are a good footballing team.

3.) 12 Oct 2014 13:52:36
Swansea are a good footballing team? They are an okay side playing good football, they beat us 3-0, 3 bloody 0, its not acceptable, we also lost to crystal palace the exact same way we did last season, he has no plan b, we conceded 6 against chelsea, 6! At home!, we got beat by a team that had rafael, valencia, shaw and fellaini in it, again, unacceptable, we are about to be beat by a team that has a midfield of tom cleverley and joe cole, #martinezout

4.) Swan Martinez out? Give it a rest for gods sake he's done a great job since he came to us and fancy us strongly for the europa cup. And Mike as for the Lak the goals will come when he gets the correct service and will be a legend at the club I'm certain

5.) 1st time ever the Swans have beaten the mighty blues.
Martinez must have thought the team he put out were good enough but it back fired.
3-0 is a good hiding but what worried me more was the boss actually came out & said we were the better team for long periods trying to pull wool over my eyes.
We can't have been watching the same match then!!.

6.) Fellaini came of the bench shaw is a bright young star with a bright future within him and valencia is not that bad a player.

7.) 12 Oct 2014 17:04:03
Im not getting into players, martinez last season was unpredictable, this season we are so easy to play against, ge has no clue

10 Oct 2014 05:08:35
I think next season will be the season we really push on, we only signed the loan players from last season and we spent a chunk of the budget on improving the training facilities so we should have 45 million at least for next season and we can really sign some top quality players. We will have strength in depth no European footy ( unless we win Europa) and a squad that can get it's way into the to 4 COYB.

PKBLUE

1.) 10 Oct 2014 08:26:28
Probably a bit too optimistic that mate, I personally think we will finish the season very lucky if we don't get relegated, I predict mirallas, rom, stones, ross, coleman, mccarthy and baines to all leave and we will officially be a team that's in it just hoping to stay in it, like burnley and qpr, I think martinez will be sacked and we will begin a period of decline, get hodgson or pardew in, fast forward 5 years and we are on the blink of death as a football club, fast forward 30 years and no on will remember us, we had the first undersoil heating, that's the only achievement to be proud of, when told that kids will go 'who are everton?', the teacher or dad will go 'a story of potential never being reached, it doesn't matter who they were, they are a thing of the past', I feel we are slowly dying as a football club, i'm normally happy go lucky me but not now, not ever again, my beloved football club is about to vanish from the premier league, dark times ahead

2.) I feel we spent all we had in the last transfer window. and if we finish as low as I fear this season our spending will be severely effected.

we need at CB, RB, GK, Winger, FW.

3.) Great post Swan as always you brighten my day with your happy go lucky banter.

4.) 10 Oct 2014 16:36:03
Got to be tongue in cheek Swan or is that really your view? Said it the other day and I will say it again, no team has ever been relegated after 7 games in to the season. We may not be tearing up trees at the minute but we have an easier fixture list, in comparison to the teams we have played so far, that could well reap plenty of points. Stop being so negative mate, get behind your team in times of trouble. All they need is a few wins on the bounce and confidence will return

5.) 10 Oct 2014 18:44:50
That is my view, I think we have become wigan, I fully expect a relegation scrap

{Ed025's Note - talk about over the top!....i can assure you that we will finish in the top half swan, we will be back in top form very shortly...and you can take that to the bank!!..

6.) 10 Oct 2014 21:07:04
We wont, even if we do it will be 10th to 8th at best and martinez should be sacked regardless, ges ruined us, #bringbackmoyesy #welcomepards

{Ed025's Note - your unwavering support for the club is very touching swan.. :(

7.) 10 Oct 2014 23:49:57
Swan, you make me laugh but annoy me in equal measures! All will turn out ok, stop stressing out. We aren't Wigan, we haven't won the FA cup since the last century for starters.

8.) 11 Oct 2014 00:30:40
I want us to do well, but we simply wont, we have awful physios, no money, an endless injury list, an endless list of players too good for us, a fraud of a manager and a soon to be fight to avoid liquidation, its a shame really, I thought we might of done well this season, ah well, 23 home games a season next season :)

{Ed007's Note - Chillax Swanny bud, it's Friday night and you've got through another week safe and healthy....Positive things happen to positive people!

Here's a wee number I specially chose for you...
