If we where prepared to pay some compensation, would we be able to being Dowell, Browning, or Connally back from their loans in January?

JCW100

{Ed002's Note - without knowing the terms I don’t know.}

1.) 01 Dec 2017 00:13:55
In all fairness I don't think we should. Unless the situation dramatically changes before then, can we afford to be playing people who are untested at this level? They could surprise everyone and be brilliant straight off the bay but they also might not be ready and our team cannot cover for seasoned professionals at the minute, nevermind inexperienced youth.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 09:18:56
Browning has played a few games for the 1st team already. He played at LB, and personally I like to see him play there over Baines who has lost his speed and can no longer get back once he has gone forward to cover the counter attack.

Southampton game is a prime example of that.

3.) 01 Dec 2017 11:33:48
Browning played right back.

4.) 01 Dec 2017 11:42:17
He has played a number of games a left back for the 1st team.

5.) 01 Dec 2017 14:08:57
I'd leave him at Sunderland for remainder of loan and register garbutt in january.

6.) 01 Dec 2017 16:24:09
Robinson is the best young left back at the club.

7.) 02 Dec 2017 08:09:46
he is scoundrel mate by far bit he's at Bolton at the min.

16 Nov 2017 23:06:36
Allerdice has had a change of heart, and will sit down with club officials over the weekend.

JCW100

1.) 17 Nov 2017 01:54:43
Ofcourse he will.

2.) 17 Nov 2017 02:06:01
please. NO.

3.) 17 Nov 2017 08:34:54
Felt good when I got up this morning. Nice long weekend off work. Lots planned and some xmas shopping. Then read JCW100s post. Now I think B&Q for 5 metres of rope may be top priority!

4.) 18 Nov 2017 07:59:46
B&Q might be out of stock of rope rather rapidly if that’s true!

15 Nov 2017 01:14:07
The line comeing from the press, is that the delay in an appointment, is due to a split in the boardroom.
I find these reports as very odd, there may be some differances of opinion, but surly, at the end of the day, he who pays the piper, calls the tune. The owner of the largest block of shares is the new owner, plus the fact the he is putting up the cash for paying off Koeman, and putting up the money for any compensation we may have to pay to bring someone in, so bill can stamp his feet all he likes, there is only one person who is going to decide, and it's not bill.

JCW100

1.) 15 Nov 2017 11:07:41
And so it shouldn’t be Bill, I have no doubt Bill would’ve loved a fairytale reunion with Moyes or to give Unsworth more time, Moshiri is the main man and should make the decisions, no more small club mentality, no more losers at the club.

{Ed002's Note - So you want a businessman making footballing decisions? Recipe for success.}

2.) 15 Nov 2017 12:58:10
No, I want ambitious people making footballing decisions seeing as how the footballing man wants Unsworth given more time.

{Ed002's Note - I think you have missed the point here.}

11 Nov 2017 22:49:45
In the cast around for a c/ back, young, good in the air, and able to complement keane, we could do worse than bringing back shanne duffey, sold to blackburn for chicken feed, and would cost a lot more to bring him back, but has proved himself at brighton and at international level.

JCW100

1.) 12 Nov 2017 01:35:01
We are Everton not Shane Duffy.

2.) 12 Nov 2017 08:35:53
He certainly has improved massively since leaving. Would he be an improvement to our centre backs? Personally I would say, yes, most definitely.

3.) 12 Nov 2017 11:07:35
Your all off your head Shane Duffy is a liability who can't play foodball.

4.) 12 Nov 2017 13:14:42
You obviously haven't watched him much lately bigduncan. He can certainly play for Ireland. Anyone complimenting Williams on how he is playing? Or any centre back at the club?

No, didn't think so.

5.) 12 Nov 2017 14:10:28
People complain about the lack of pace at the back for us and you want to bring back Duffy? Oh my!

6.) 12 Nov 2017 16:36:25
NBTB your name should be changed if you think Shane Duffy is good enough for us he's never going to play for anybody in. m the top 7 and nor should Ashley williams. If you want nothing but the best then you need to be hoping for abit better than Shane Duffy and Ashley williams. I'd rather play holgate CB on his own than then two in the team. I want nothing but the best myself and settling for players like Duffy an managers like alladyce is nothing but but the most relagation standard professionals your going to get.

7.) 12 Nov 2017 19:22:37
NBTB but I'm not delusional. We need to improve the team step by step. Does anyone think the top centre backs are knocking down the door to get in?

As long as we are improving we are going in the right direction.

8.) 12 Nov 2017 20:17:58
I understand that but he's not an improvement on what we have, he might be a brick s. house but is he going to take us to the next level no. Take it on the chin that that was a bad shout. Moshiri said we bid 60m for koullibaly, moshiri said he wants sineone, he won't want to be paying over the odds for Shane Duffy, an the next manager whoever it maybe, if he's interested in Shane Duffy then I give up with Everton. We want nothing but the best and trophies come with that, sorry for going on at you mate but your still in the moyes era and thank god your not manager haha.

9.) 12 Nov 2017 22:40:22
bigduncan its fine. Me manager? Can't even manage myself. I just think we need to steady the ship. Duffy is improving an awful lot as of late. If he keeps it up he will attract the better clubs.

I'm big supporter of Moshiri and never gave him anything but praise since the moment he arrived. At the same time, just because Moshiri says he wants someone doesn't mean it will happen. If it does I will eat my humble pie with the biggest grin on my face. As I said if I could pick any manager in the world it would be who you said in the above post so gladly eat humble if that happens.

10.) 13 Nov 2017 00:30:40
Look mate I'm not deluded I'm not expecting us pull off simeone I'm just saying expectations are a lot higher these days. Every players have purple patches before williams signed he had a belter euros with wale but does he play like that every game for us? We should be going for a more expierenced an better all round quality centre half I don't know say a Vincent kompany or someone with the same sort of quality. Michael Keane has got the potential to be quality an if he had someone next to him he can trust an they can trust him it will get the best out of him. Shane Duffy don't offer that in my opinion.

11.) 13 Nov 2017 11:07:11
Fair enough bigduncan. We'll have to agree to disagree. I wouldn't rule any player out as they can develop with time. You seem to be only keen on proven talent. That's fair enough I just think that's not a viable way going forward to challenge the big boys as that way involves an obscene amount of money.

Something which the big boys have a lot more than us and also offer champions league football. We need to be smart in our in our approach and look for ways around that. Hence buying potential talent and developing them.

12.) 13 Nov 2017 12:10:35
Hello. I’m definitely not one to be shooting down our excellent youth players but Holgate has been far from premiership quality this season, I’m even quite sure he’d admit this himself. I know he’s young and he’s learning more and more each game but I don’t believe this warrants a first team starting position. Of course my opinion and I’m not looking to argue with fella fans or getting on the players back, I’m just struggling with this one.

13.) 13 Nov 2017 12:43:53
Holgate hasn't been helped by the constant change in position between RB and CB, plus the number of changes in personnel alongside and in front of him. We need some consistency in selection. Just pick a formation and team then stick with it rather than changing things every game. No wonder none of the new players can settle and there seems to be no particular style or plan when we change six players every game.

14.) 13 Nov 2017 14:00:29
Ino that mate but right now we need someone who can come in and make a difference And make a big improvement on what we have. i just don't think Duffy offer s that one bit. If you ask me we need to get rid of Steve walsh what has he done since he came apart from sign lookman an gueye. WE have spent 200m+ since walsh came in and we are no better if not worse.

15.) 13 Nov 2017 22:39:18
Fair enough bigduncan. I agree we don't seem to be getting value for the money used during the summer. The whole Walsh situation seems peculiar. I hope it can be sorted. He does seem to be someone that can do work for the club. Maybe in a different role that he is in at the moment. That's why I wouldn't like to see him go.

26 Aug 2017 21:24:27
ed25; I know it's become a guessing game, but have you anything on us putting an offer in for Troy Deaney, told we asked when we where disscussing Lennon going to Watford.

JCW100

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 26 Aug 2017 23:28:27
Troy Deeney? Troy Deeney? Really? We'd be better going for Troy Tempest!

{Ed033's Note - With no strings attached - P.W.O.R.

NOW WILL ALL THOSE WHO WHERE SO SNIFFY ABOUT ALLERDICE, GET REAL, WE SHOULD GIVE HIM WHAT HE WANTS, AND BEG HIM TO CHANGE HIS MIND. THAT WAY WE MIGHT STILL BE IN THE PREM NEXT SEASON, WITHOUT THAT ALL THE BIG PLANS, NEW GROUND AND ALL, GO DOWN THE DRAIN.

JCW100

{Ed025's Note - i still cant stand the guy JCW but we do need a manager ASAP, just not him imo..

1.) 23 Nov 2017 22:52:53
JCW100 - I agree, mate, but there’s no need to SHOUT!

2.) 23 Nov 2017 22:55:41
Here here, we need long time manger mate.

3.) 23 Nov 2017 23:00:09
Every 3 years someone calls for Big Sam to save them. Guess it’s Evertons turn. Maybe he can kick things in the right direction. If Sam can’t perhaps my first trip to Goodison will be to see a League game versus Exeter.

21 Nov 2017 01:06:38
Dutch football has run out of ideas, and so have Dutch managers, so silver if we can get him, but, Unsworth is a good coach, and hope we keep him, but he's no manager.
Thus the safe option is the guy from burnley, and as far as I know their is a fix price for his compensation 2.5m. think we can live with that.

JCW100

19 Nov 2017 16:28:45
Watford have said no deal, so let's move on, in more ways than one, he is another Martinez, tip tap, and very poor defending, particularly at set pieces. Although Allerdic has again said no (miffed at not beeing first choice) in our situation that is the type of manager we need, even if only till the end of the season, just to make sure we are still in the prem come the end of the season.

JCW100

1.) 19 Nov 2017 16:46:40
Pulis will be available soon. I'd rather him till the end of the season than Allardyce.

2.) 19 Nov 2017 16:51:06
Even if we wanted him, Pulis isn't going to sign a six-month contract any more than Allardyce was going to. Plus we don't want him.

3.) 19 Nov 2017 18:00:23
I would rather nail my teddy bear to the table than have those two.

4.) 19 Nov 2017 18:18:49
Forget silva just go sign richarlison perfect partner for DCL.

15 Nov 2017 21:38:46
The crap about tapping up, surley, tapping up only occures when you speak to the induvidual without consent of the club, you are free to talk to his agent or representative at ant time, at least, that is my understanding, so eds, is that correct?

JCW100

{Ed002's Note - Yes, that is correct.}

1.) 16 Nov 2017 10:04:42
I was going to ask the same question JCW so can any Eds shed any light on where the story has come from have we actually approached silva or have we approached his rep to see if he would be interested then offered compo to his employer who rejected it as it only the mirror who have ran the story I believe it's a load of bull (or I hope more like)

{Ed002's Note - Approaching Silva directly is not allowed but Everton can speak to his representative. Everton have approached Watford to ask to speak to MS, but they said no.}

13 Nov 2017 23:53:45
So, simply put, how much are watford going to take, 2, 3, 5 mill?

JCW100

1.) 14 Nov 2017 12:17:26
Maybe it’s a smokescreen? Unusual to be still rumours and the Echo not confirmed it, it all seems to be National as much as not everyone likes the echo they usually quick with such things and must have close connections. It’s just a gut instinct saying things will move pretty quickly now and it maybe another candidate.

Know idea what the hell is going on in Barkley's head, but he does seem to be listerning to some very strange advice, for all the fact that this lad has betrayed all those supporters that stood by him in a whole range of substandard performances, you still hope that someone would sit him down and tell him a few home truths. Frances Jeffers is a sad tale of someone who could have had a great career, but ended with a host of regrets.

Would not have Wellbeck as a free gift, unt got rid, poor goals per game, this aspect of his game has not improved at Asenal, must be rubbing the hand, just to get him off their wage bill, "low price" is an indication of just how keen they are to get rid.

Gylfi is a good player, but, for 50mill, we could go to europe abd buy a real world class creative midfield player, if we get him, he will get my total support, but we will still have paid 20m to much.

ed25. You now seem as piss off as the rest of us, but, are you now ready to accept what so mant of us have been saying for years, the problem at everton can be sumed up in one word Kenwright.
He may, yeaars ago, saved us from the big bad wolf, but since then it has been a string of brocken promises and, misted oppertunities, if we are ever to have a succsesful club, than the time to stand aside is now, and in truth, should have happend years ago.

JCW100

{Ed025's Note - im not putting the blame on just bills shoulders JCW but there is something wrong somewhere, im not giving up on them because they are still my club but the frustration is driving me insane mate, we seem to have a small team mentality and i cant see how that will change anytime soon, you would think after 59 years of it i would be used to it by now..

For football reasons, and for the resolution of his domestic difficulties, it would be better for Rooney, and for the club, for him to make a fresh start in January's transfer window for him to move to the MLS.
Rooney has been a great player, and I truley wish him well, but, the odd flash of what he used to be, is not enough to command a starting place in the first 11.
Whatever you might think of unt's manager he's no fool, even when unt where strugerling for results last season, he strugled to even get on the bench, and it was only Kenwright's misguided sentimentallity that brought him back to the club.
