Not looking too good for 777 if we are to believe the rags, apparently Moshiri is looking elsewhere for potential investment, hmmmm.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 22 Apr 2024 16:35:25
Not opposed to that GB. Could be a blessing in disguise.

2.) 22 Apr 2024 17:46:12
Would think if we change to different potential buyers it will take months again for the Premiership to decide if the new buyers can meet the requirements needed.

3.) 22 Apr 2024 17:50:28
His boss prob told him to get my money back.

4.) 22 Apr 2024 19:27:55
Price must be dropping week on week.

5.) 22 Apr 2024 21:39:44
Now ya getting it GB.

6.) 22 Apr 2024 23:04:14
Amazed it’s taken 7 months for him to seek alternative purchaser - there have been so may red flags around 777 I’m amazed he’s left it run as long as he has.

For a supposed billionaire he appears to have little sense when it comes to money.

7.) 22 Apr 2024 23:40:07
With a step closer to staying in the premiership, a new stadium and changes coming to PSR, now is the time to search for an alternative owner.
It doesn’t make sense to persist with 777, they obviously don’t have the funds for this.
Get out to Qatar and do some begging.

17 Apr 2024 16:55:30
Hey Ed 025 I am reading now we could back half a point or less in our appeal, how does that work say we finish 0.5 of a point above the third bottom Team we stay up that's the same as 1 point we still stay up, makes no sense.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - it makes no sense to me either GB..

1.) 20 Apr 2024 10:06:51
Half a point! I’ve heard it all now.

15 Apr 2024 18:18:28
Hi Ed025 what do you make of this latest report that the Club will not own our new stadium, sounds to me like we selling our very soul to the devil mate, what is happening.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - its just another thing on top of this crap show that is Everton GB, they say it never rains but it pours and thats certainly true with us mate, its one thing after another and nothing surprises me these days and to be honest i can see us going to the wall, and do you know what...sometimes i think the sooner the better..

1.) 15 Apr 2024 19:07:51
I keep thinking we will stay up this season and then I think what is going to happen to our Club next, it’s just one thing after another mate, then I wake up and say xxxx them we are Everton and we can beat this COYB.

{Ed025's Note - you certainly have more resolve than me GB, these days i tend to wake up and say...i dont really care mate, i have had enough now i think..

2.) 15 Apr 2024 19:32:09
Always been a Blue Ed since I was knee high to a grasshopper, if we go down I go with them, but we will stay up and get out of this mess.

{Ed025's Note - so have i GB, but even if we do stay up mate it all starts again next season i feel, im sorry to sound so negative mate but this club have finally broken me im afraid, in my heart i still love the ethos of EFC but these past few years have ground me down so much that i have lost all faith that we will ever become a force again..

3.) 15 Apr 2024 20:56:39
Feel exactly the same Ed. We deserve so much better. Far more important things going on than this farce of a club. We need a reset. Simple as.

{Ed025's Note - your dead right Mocker..

4.) 15 Apr 2024 22:04:08
I completely agree with you Ed25 and I’m not even 40 yet. Just can’t be doing with building my hopes up every summer to be presented with this cocktail of anger, sadness and complete frustration. It’s doing my health in no ends.

I just wish we could sort ourselves out. If it’s taking this many seasons to do it (and we are still far from being mid table) then we must be rotten to the core.

In a free seasons, there will be a super league of European clubs and you can bet we won’t be part of it or anywhere near it.

{Ed025's Note - and dont deserve to be BR..

5.) 16 Apr 2024 03:31:01
You guys were probably not alive the last time we were relegated, I was. I was eleven and it was devastating. I do care Ed025 and put the blame for our demise fully on Blue Bill. He brought in Moshiri and he stood back and allowed him to ruin this club. I never bought on to the "Boys Pen" rubbish, I went in the boys pen once and it was like being in a cage, anyone in their right mind would go in only once. Kenwright sold out to Moshiri because he allowed Bill to remain as Chairman. He must have known that Moshiri was a figurehead for Usmanov. Now we can look forward to the 777 lot, probably being a tenant at our new stadium and owing a fortune at high interest. How can anyone with any business acumen allow us to get to this position?

6.) 16 Apr 2024 13:26:57
Spot on BR am 34 meself havnt seen us win anything know more about the reds cabinet and years they won it then me own team has been took from us i honestly think we are gone lads can't see us getting many points between now and then hope wrong.

08 Apr 2024 12:27:50
Being reported we will accept bids of over £40 million for DCL, is this value about right.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed002's Note - Everton really need assured sales by June 30 and clubs will know that.}

1.) 08 Apr 2024 12:36:21
Looks like big changes are coming concerning our current Team.

2.) 08 Apr 2024 12:37:19
What a mess.

We need to sell players to raise funds, therefore we need to get the best prices available, however if we need guaranteed sales before 30th June which other clubs will be aware of that which automatically weakens our negotiating position!

Just hope that whomever we do sell (likely Onana and DCL) there are a couple of interested parties to help us get a reasonable fee for them.

3.) 08 Apr 2024 12:53:02
Looks like our Team as we know it will be no more, maybe getting rid and hopefully finding replacement players from the lower leagues will help us move on, could be a blessing in disguise.

{Ed002's Note - Certainly the club have been scouting a replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite. I think there will be a lot of departures in the summer.}

4.) 08 Apr 2024 12:53:29
Surely we can't get anywhere near £40 million for him now?

That was the reported fee back when he was actually scoring goals. That was years ago now, the lad is older and scoring a much lower rate.

Realistically, which teams would be after him that could offer that sort of money?

5.) 08 Apr 2024 13:13:48
On the plus side, he’s been fit and playing for a while now. He still had the attributes that managers will be looking for. I would think 25 million would be more realistic.

6.) 08 Apr 2024 13:14:30
If we get £40 for him before 30th June that would be great business. I would imagine Onana, Branthwaite and Pickford will follow. Then what? We will have no sellable assets at all, so just delaying the inevitable.

7.) 08 Apr 2024 13:23:39
Get rid of the lot. We need a reset needs must.

We won't be only club facing this if various reports are correct on PSR.

8.) 08 Apr 2024 13:52:45
Yep wouldn't surprise me at all if looking at League Table and say to themselves let's give them -4 PTS, in the hope of keeping all clubs happy and us not moaning with it still being in our hands albeit game in hand against the Reds.

Said for a while this season relegation will be decided in a court room not a football pitch. Ridiculous and expect more of the same not season with possibilities of more clubs involved and both ends of the table.

It's not football, it's who foots the bill!

9.) 08 Apr 2024 13:59:35
Think if DCL proves his fitness and scores a couple more, one of the midtable sides would think about 30m+, shame but we'd have to take it. Branthwaite and Onana will bring in some cash. Hopefully we can stay in the prem and get a young hungry squad built to recover. Can't see who'd buy Pickford though.

10.) 08 Apr 2024 14:17:10
I would take 40 Mill for DCL but he will go for less, Onana and Branthwaite should go as well. 10-12 weeks to reduce our losses a fing mess. Need a decision on take over as well.

11.) 08 Apr 2024 13:17:29
Thanks Ed.

12.) 08 Apr 2024 15:14:15
Ed02. Do you know a ball park figure of funds that need to be raised?

I've tried to keep well away from and the debt, points deduction saga but I remember seeing a figure of around 85m to 90m loss. So should we be expecting to make around that in sales?

Assume onana branthwaitte Pickford will have to go and be replaced with players out of contract and on lower wages.

I really don't see the point of us playing next season. We may as well just accept relegation.

{Ed002's Note - The year end figure for June may well see Everton needing to raise something like £80M to avoid a further charge. I would expect Branthwaite and Onana to be made available. Additionally, they will possibly need to sell to add players and have been looking at up and coming CBs as an example.}

13.) 08 Apr 2024 15:45:19
Fat Chris phase 2 of my prediction for the Dyche era. Turns us into a team full of hard 6'6 turds and we bully ourselves to survival ala Stoke circa Pulis 1st 2 years. Everyone worth a bid is for sale at anything that sorts the bank balance. Expect around £120m for Onana and Branthwaite. Expect Pickford to maybe go Germany or stay as I can't see any EPL side needing him but he's surely worth close to £20m and can be replaced. Retire the old units and get Coleman in the coaching team. Goofball is going to be the order of the day. Get those season tickets ?.

14.) 08 Apr 2024 17:27:45
20m for Pickford is a joke mate. He's the established England No1 and, bar the occasional rush of blood to the head, has been more consistent than ever the last 2 seasons. I'd expect a lot more for him tbh mate.

15.) 08 Apr 2024 18:29:57
If we can sell Onana for £60m+ and try and offload some wages then we might sell some other outcasts for £20m….

16.) 09 Apr 2024 17:10:43
Thanks Ed. Worrying times.

FBS. I think the times of stupid transfer fees are gone. Look how much got spent in January. I don't think we will get anywhere near 120m for branthwaitte and onana. Maybe the cira 90m figure. We still need to clear more of the none playing senior players but I imagine they will go on frees or loans.

07 Apr 2024 08:42:33
Any truth in the rumour this morning that two Everton fans want to buy our new stadium as part of a deal with 777.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - first I have heard of that GB..

1.) 07 Apr 2024 11:40:56
Andy Bell and George Downing a Swiss based company owed millions by 777 apparently would strike a deal to buy the stadium, could be a load of hogwash Ed mate.

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me mate..

2.) 07 Apr 2024 12:02:43
Could be right old ding dong mate.

3.) 08 Apr 2024 10:01:30
The problem with selling the stadium is we become tenants only, probably paying to use the stadium and getting a lot less revenue back so the new stadium does not help us financially. For me it would be better if we own it and use it for more than just football and increase revenue.

4.) 08 Apr 2024 14:20:06
I would take the deal, wipes out 777 loans from the two lads and they may turn it into a going concern that benefits all. Would rather the City took it over but they are brassic.

Great game and well deserved win, told you Ed 025 have faith in your elders mate.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - im converted GB.. :)

24 Apr 2024 15:30:21
Kouyate may get a chance tonight if DCL is out, either way 1-0 for us tonight, one win will be enough to keep us up COYB.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 24 Apr 2024 16:20:42
Be more than happy with a draw GB. BIG ask tonight. Could be on wrong end of a thumping. It's the Derby tho so COYB indeed pal ??.

{Ed025's Note - i usually go to the pub with my mates to watch it Mocker, but not tonight mate, i cant see us getting anything if im honest but i would love to be proved wrong..

2.) 24 Apr 2024 16:43:16
Yep likewise Ed, be at home watching nervously no doubt.

We could nick a draw, history says good bet. What is it 5 of last 6 at goodison been draws, 4 of which 0-0. 9 of last 11 been draws.

We due a win not beat them in 2010!. Can't see it tho myself. A few cans to settle nerves I think (yes on a school night ? special occasion)

{Ed025's Note - im watching it from behind the couch Mocker.. :)

3.) 24 Apr 2024 16:54:37
May well be doing same, never know we might find some loose change underneath. Could add it to our £2.40 summer transfer budget hey pal. ?

What will be will be. Let's try enjoy. ?.

4.) 24 Apr 2024 16:58:51
Never know Ed mate you could be pleasantly surprised tonight, guys on Sky reckon one more point will keep us up, good news fella eh.

{Ed025's Note - i would love it if we get something GB...for a couple of reasons mate.. :)

5.) 24 Apr 2024 17:10:27
Well there’s a bookmaker offering 100/ 1 if we win the game lol.

6.) 24 Apr 2024 17:47:23
Yeah right Woburn pull the other one mate.

7.) 24 Apr 2024 18:32:02
Tonight is about a bit of effort but priority is protecting our GD.
Yes sad I know, but realistic COYB.

8.) 24 Apr 2024 19:23:15
Very true Chalkie mate.

22 Apr 2024 12:37:16
Reading the posts below I can't help but think Sean will be gone before the next season starts,777 or whoever takes us over the first thing they will want to do is impress the fans and a new manager will be high on their list, personally I would like to see most of present Squad gone just had enough of them bar a couple it's time for young blood, the books have to be balanced so the big earners will be moved on, bring in players who actually want to wear our shirt, I've had enough of this tripe and now at the end of this season is a very good time for action.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - i agree GB but the problem comes when trying to get these freeloaders off the books mate, only idiots would give them the sort of wages they are on here...so it wont be easy..

1.) 22 Apr 2024 14:21:14
Is there anyone you would keep GB?

I would keep tarkowski, garner and if possible branthwaite. The rest can go with my blessing!

2.) 22 Apr 2024 14:38:54
We get gomes, allí and gueye off the books this summer anyway.

Branthwaite is great but £80-100m is a huge fee to help ffp and re invest in the squad.

I would also sell Pickford if someone offered £50m because as good as he is, you can pick up a good goalkeeper for way less, and a lesser salary.

I actually think DCL is a good striker but is wasted under Dyche and injury prone, again his sale would help ffp and get him off the wage bill.

Also Doucoure if someone comes in for him.

The problem is, say you bring in the best part of £160m for DCl, Branthwaite and Pickford.

I don't trust the board/ recruitment or Dyche to use it well.

I thought we had turned a corner after flogging some big earners but bringing in Maupay, beto, chermiti and Mcneil just hows how bad are recruitment team is.

The joys of being a blue haha.

3.) 22 Apr 2024 14:51:42
Tarks, Branthwaite, Garner and maybe Myko rest can vamouch,

4.) 22 Apr 2024 17:53:46
But surely new owners would mean a new board?
Gomes, Ali and Gueye means we are getting rid of three big earners. Two hardly ever play and one’s getting on a bit. Not sure we would miss them tbh.
I would let Onana go if we could get good money for him. But I would try everything to hold on to Branthwaite.
Need a right back, two midfielders and two wingers who can beat a man and cross a ball. NOT Harrison.

5.) 22 Apr 2024 18:14:41
And let's refresh the coaching staff too.

6.) 22 Apr 2024 19:08:24
I imagine we will be going after the likes of Johnson free and brown hill free.

I liked the look of that lad for Cov yesterday sheaf. Thought he had a great game and looked like he cared. Joe Parkinson eat your heart out type of performance.

Give me those type of players of the current shower we have all day.

7.) 22 Apr 2024 19:38:23
Personally onana would be numero 1 on my list to sell. Seems clubs are willing to pay top dollar for him. I have to agree with carragher in that he's absolutely bobbins.
God dare I say it I would keep gomes on present form as we can't possibly sell all of them in 1 summer. Get rid of:-

Onana
Young (give him away)
Michael Keane (he can get a lift with young, I will drive! )
Dacoure
Idrissa
Patterson
Dcl
Danjuma
Mcneil (woeful this season)
Pickford (agree, can get as good a keeper for a lower wage)
Mykalenko.

8.) 22 Apr 2024 19:42:00
If the new board were competent and targeted actual improvments to the squad, which let's be honest shouldn't be difficult. I'd get rid of most of the team, I don't mind selling Branthwaite as long as it is a massive fee, as he is worth every penny payed for him.
I'd happily take Johnson from West Ham at rb on a free, Brownhill, Che Adams also free. We also have to use the loan market far more effectivly and sign player we actaully will use haha.
Would any take Barkley back? I would be not if he had ridiculous wage demands.

{Ed025's Note - Ross is better off in a place where his past cant catch up with him for me ST, he almost imploded when he was here mate..

9.) 23 Apr 2024 06:14:33
I can’t think of many other options for an attacking minded player who won’t cost the Earth Ed.

Why can’t we unearth another Cahill from the lower leagues is beyond me. What do our scouts do?

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know BR, they are useless mate..

10.) 23 Apr 2024 09:47:34
Amen to that ED, there are lots of people in this Burg you don't piss off and Ross! young as he was did exactly that.

{Ed025's Note - your dead right DFS, very talented player mate but the baggage he came with in this city makes it a no no to coming back..

21 Apr 2024 15:37:20
Good win this well chuffed.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 21 Apr 2024 15:50:15
Yes mate, good win, but lol.

2.) 21 Apr 2024 16:11:14
3. Clear cut penalties from Young for them, guess we got lucky for once mate.

{Ed025's Note - dead lucky GB..

3.) 21 Apr 2024 16:17:32
Even I say we got lucky there, bloody hell Young is a liability mate.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely GB, but hes not the problem mate...its the guy who picks him week in week out..

4.) 21 Apr 2024 16:20:15
Pleased we won. Worried we won’t have a striker fit for the next few games though!

What happened to Beto? Just a collision?

{Ed025's Note - bad clash of heads BR, stretchered off but did give the thumbs up as he was being carted off mate..

5.) 21 Apr 2024 16:28:55
I've said it before, I'm convinced Young has got something written in his contract about starting games when available. Or he's got photos of Dyche suckin off a horse.
He's garbage and can't understand why he's in the squad nevermind the starting eleven.

6.) 21 Apr 2024 16:30:54
So so lucky! My word Young is frighteningly bad. 3 crucial points though.

7.) 21 Apr 2024 17:48:37
Did anyone see the statement from Forest about the VAR operative being a Luton fan? If so, it makes a complete mockery, once again, of the system.

Young shouldn’t play again for this club. Idiot could (and should) have cost us the game.

8.) 21 Apr 2024 18:20:34
Have to beat Luton and Sheff Utd or not lose and we should be okay.

9.) 21 Apr 2024 19:01:30
Came out of Hospital last night was in Bed 12A. Then we win today! Only saying.

10.) 21 Apr 2024 19:50:14
After all the decisions that have gone against us this and last season we DESERVED those breaks today, and tbf we are due a barrel or two load more.

By no means we out the woods, but one step closer. Smiling evertonians in this household and all looking forward first MOTD in 5 months. COYB.

{Ed025's Note - im afraid i couldn,t watch that again S&G, once is more than enough of that tripe mate..

20 Apr 2024 15:58:31
C Mon Brentford yesssssssss.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 20 Apr 2024 16:21:44
Terrible when we’re so into other games going our way but we’re all doing it.
Come on Brentford!

2.) 20 Apr 2024 16:52:21
Needs must mate, it can be goal difference or a 0-5 point above third from bottom as long as we stay up, do not care how we do it.

3.) 20 Apr 2024 17:37:38
Absolutely GB.
The weekends we haven’t played, or sun/ mon games we’ve done well.
Hopefully the luck keeps on coming COYB.

4.) 20 Apr 2024 18:27:40
Just hope we get 3 points tomorrow and move on big week coming up mate.
