Looks like we won't be getting El Shaarawy then, fractured foot, out for two months.

Bloo

1.) 26 Jan 2015 18:07:18
So the search continues for another injury-prone player to take up a spot in our squad without ever appearing in the first team regularly.

{Ed025's Note - same old story sid..

01 Sep 2014 00:15:25
Hi guys, hearing rumours about Raul Albiol potentially joining us. Personally I think it'd be great. Heard anything Ed?

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - nothing this end on him bloo mate..

Hey guys, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but apparently both Baines and Rom are out injured for the Arsenal game :(

Bloo

1.) Sorry but that's just not true. The club has said that the only unavailable players are kone, Oviedo, and Barkley.

2.) Just listen to what RM says in his press conference.

3.) 23 Aug 2014 02:09:38
Saw Bainsey today running around Waitrose , he looked fit and I wished him luck for tomorrow , he looked fine so after reading the above post gave him a kick on the shin so your post would look half decent .

4.) Both played against Arsenal.

11 Aug 2014 00:24:28
Heard we are in for Memphis Depay. Don't know how true it is but if we did get him, that'd be great business. Has lots of potential.

Bloo

1.) We should go for him instead of atsu. Miles better and more potential. He would be more expensive but it would be worth it.

2.) 11 Aug 2014 06:56:34
No chance out of our price range

3.) More chance of seeing Jesus of Nazareth doing kick ups.

4.) How can he be out of our prize range when we haven't. Even touched the TV. Money yet lol?

5.) 11 Aug 2014 11:46:13
Haven't we? The new facilities being brought into finch farm? Are the council paying for it? Maybe, except martinez specifically said the tv money was going towards that, so uh yeah, depay isn't happening

6.) What lol over 80m?

7.) 11 Aug 2014 13:02:35
It woud certainly be a bit, there is no way (not counting finch farm additions) we would have the whole 80m plus set budget from fellaini, vic etc, no way did we, at the start of the season, have over 100m to spend, 34 on lukaku, barry and besic, finch farm additions may cost 15-20m at a quess, there is no way we have over 50m left to spend, if we did, I doubt we would be getting loans and stalling over a 3m deal for a frigging 18 year old, the majority of the rest of the (imaginary) budget would of gone somewhere else, banks, debt, elstones new leapord skin wallet or lord willing a new stadium, maybe its being kept for january or next season, maybe its spread out I don't know, what I do know? There is no way in hell we have 15m left to spend, never mind 50 odd

8.) Or kenwright back pocket lol

9.) Jeeez, people just do not get finance on here do they?
The TV money, we got the TV money, 80 million of TV money.
We have always relied heavily on TV money as our single largest part of revenue. Its not like last season we got no TV money and this year we got 80 million. The increase is by around 30 million.
A lot of that has been put on increased wages, the signing of Lukaku and Besic as well as Finch Farm adjustments. That extra 30 million from the TV money is essentially 25 as we operate on about a 5 million a year loss. So really Bobby had a bonus of 25 million to spend on what he felt he should.
So STOP saying we got 80 million as if it is something new in to our revenue stream, it is just an increase on our biggest source of revenue anyway.

Some papers are reporting that Martinez is considering a move for Celta Vigo winger Nolito. He's a left sided winger and scored 14 for them last season in 35 appearances, helping the club to finish 9th. Our scouts were at the game vs Burnley at Carrow Road during the 2-2 draw.

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - we may be able to judge him tonight bloo..

1.) Let's bloody sign him, now!

2.) 06 Aug 2014 19:55:39
Just one thing. don't Burnley play at Turf Moor?

3.) 06 Aug 2014 20:29:23
He's got a hatrick already.

4.) After tonight we need to sign him up ASAP! he's torn us a new one tonight.

5.) Yeah RVBlue but they played a friendly at Carrow road. We need to sign him up, we have nothing down the left hand side.

This is so disappointing, I hoped that we could challenge for champions league this season but at this rate we will be in the championship. Not good enough at all but what can us supporters do? It's down to the board, the manager, and the players. I'm also sick of reading about how "we will be better next time" to be served up the same rubbish week in week out. Something has got to change, surely? We can only hope.

I don't care if I'm branded fickle. That was the most disappointing performance I've seen for a long time. Not disappointing because of our lack of control on the game, but because of the lack of chances we make. Everybody in the box waiting for a cross, what do we do? Pass it 57 times around the outside and then surrender possession. Enough is enough. Besic was our best player tonight, he gets subbed, but Barry stays on? Unbelievable. The players look scared to shoot, for fear of losing the ball. If we would've actually had a few shots, we may have won the game there, there were so many ripe opportunities not taken. And the less said about Mirallas, the better. This was the last straw for me, Martinez surely has to go. Replacements? I'd go for Slaven Bilić - former player, okay he did have some issues off the field, but surely coming back as a manager, he can atone for them? In the meantime I worry for our club. I was fortunate enough to be too young to see the mike walker days, but from what I've heard, this isn't much better. Unbelievable

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - yep..

1.) Ed can you honestly see any way out of this? I don't know what's happening to our club

{Ed025's Note - only if we act now bloo..

4 straight defeats. Not looking good for the team, or the manager. I don't know how we will turn this around with our next few fixtures against City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool (not in that order), and at this rate I can't see us sticking with Roberto. If he were to go, who would be your ideal replacements? Realistically, of course.

Today wasn't good enough. After playing brilliantly vs QPR I would've thought that the Bešić Barkley partnership would've remained. How clueless does that make me? Barry was brought in again and was woeful, Barkley was ineffective on the wing (I wonder why? Oh yeah he isn't a winger) and today again proved you can't play 4 number 10s. Thanks roberto and Everton for ruining my mood just before Christmas. Merry Christmas to all Eds and posters, hope you feel happier than me

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - i dont know where you get..we played brilliantly against QPR from bloo?...i thought we were poor in that game as well mate!, lets all just enjoy crimbo and see what the new year brings fella..all the best guys..

1.) Sorry Ed I meant Bešić and Barkley played brilliantly as a duo against QPR

{Ed025's Note - they did bloo, and naisy, which means the rest done sweet FA, and carried on where they left off today..

I know we collectively didn't expect a result today but that performance was disgraceful. It was another gutless, heartless, dare I say passionless performance from us. Martinez is supposed to be a tactician, I quote a commentator from the game against hull: "he looks at football like a chess player, waiting to make the moves to win the game" - yet he brings off Bešić who was constantly pushing us forwards, and leaves Barry on. Barry had his worst performance for me, he thought he was still playing for city. This was reiterated when after the game he was having a laugh and a joke with Milner. The players and manager need to have a good hard look at themselves after this week because to say it has been below par, is a complete understatement. Everton have ruined my weekend again, and no doubt my week, as every day I'll be reminded of how crap we are - aren't liverpool supporters great? - no doubt I expected a thrashing but watching city today we could've had a result, but once again we didn't capitalise. On a day when most of the teams we should be contesting for the top 4 failed, we again have missed out. I don't know what to say, is it wrong for me to expect my team to win games against Tottenham, Hull and City? I don't know. What has happened to our club? We've gone from high flying champions league candidates to relegation candidates. I thought Martinez would: "rather die on his feet than live on his knees" - clearly he's happy with us rolling over week in week out then. I feel sorry for the supporters who have paid to watch that rubbish, and Andre Marriner should never referee a top flight game again.

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - besides eto,o there was a real lack of passion for me, coleman looked over priced at £60,000 in that role, we never started pressing until the 70th minute and there are too many players just strolling around the pitch as i see it bloo..

1.) 06 Dec 2014 20:29:56
The formation made no sense and clearly didn't work and I hope he never uses it again, if he plays a full strength team against krasnodar then i'm afraid that's it, if we don't beat a qpr team without charlie austin on monday then if possible, can we call this season off? In fact can we do it now? No win (remember, A WIN, nothing less) against qpr then I may have to bring back the early hashtag

2.) It's as if nobody cares. Nobody wants to give their all for the fans and the club itself

3.) 07 Dec 2014 00:13:08
We have been poor for weeks, I thought today was one of our better games, personally I am still not sure about rm, great first season but now teams worked out plan a we look lost, always side and back passing, we need a plan b and let's be honest for us plan b is look confused. But rm will have positives. Sick ov the "positives" I wona hear him say NOT Good Enough!

4.) 07 Dec 2014 01:30:29
Barry's season has been awful, I would go as far to say when james mac is back fit he should be starting centre mid with mo besic. Stones obviously needs to replace distan as he is now over the hill. I just don't understand the loss of pasion in our team, no fire in the bellies anymore and seem conceeded to mid table at best finish this season. let's all hope we turn in our better more consistent performances in the europa league so we not only can win a trophy, but also gain qualification to europe again, but this time buy quality players during the close season and properly prepare. Starting from the back we couldn't go far wrong signing either mcgregor or pantamillion to replace reckless howard. Lost us more points this season than ever and seems like he has a real anger issue this year. I also think its hibbos last year, he has always been poor going forwards but as a defender he was sound stopping wingers getting past him or crossing the ball, he is no longer able to stop them and by my count needs to leave. Obviously coleman is a starting fullback, but a decent replacement for injuries or suspension is needed unless browning is deemed good enough come the end of the season. That moves me onto centrebacks. Distan is retirement material now, alcaras is too calamitous, jags is suspect at times. So we have stones and possibly jags who I trust can keep clean sheets, another quality centre back is a must in the summer, winston reid is available on a free in the summer I believe. Pienaar is too old and his bainaar patnership has now all but deminished, time for oviedo to take the left wing reigns and make it his starting berth, mirallas has proved his worth to give him the right wing, barkley still has a long way to go to get to gazza standards and needs nurturing by bobby. Lukaku needs to work week in week out on how to use his strengths. Hold up play is going to be crucial if we continue to play slow build up football. Other players i'd like to see join us in the summer are kevin de brunye or konoplyanka to give wide players a run for their places and luis adriano to push lukaku to better things

I don't understand why Kev would want to move to spurs, he said he wants champions league football, and they're especially famous for being unable to attain that. What's the point?

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - the point is that he wants away bloo, he thinks he is bigger than the club and thinks he is good enough for the CL, as you say why spurs?...i am not a vindictive person but would love him to fall flat on his arse mate..

Would be happy with him, from what I've seen of him (mostly last season), he was class

I haven't watched him this season however, Karius is a very talented goalkeeper. He came into the side because their usual keeper was injured, and their second choice suspended. Suffice to say, he kept his starting place. Would be a better option than Robles, for sure

Bloo

{Ed025's Note - humpy dumpty would be a better option than robles bloo..

Personally, I think Guidetti would be good back up. Surely he's got to be better than Koné, whenever he turns up on his camel, that is.

Moyes was here for 11 years we won nothing and maintained some winless away records at arsenal etc. He's not a winner, he never will be. So not for me

Slaven Bilić - tactically astute and we've only ever won things when an ex player was in charge. Worth a punt surely? Could find some bargains as well. Gökhan Töre is a good player at Besiktas

Penalty incident aside, Mirallas is worth much more than 5 million alone. I'd say at least 15-20 mil, for levy however, he can pay 35

I heard that Kev had a slight ankle injury so couldn't play the full 90

{Ed025's Note - thats true bloo...but why not play a 10yr old kid instead of mcgeady?..its getting embarrassing mate..
