Does anyone know what time to be at the ground to meet the players before a Game??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2 hours before kick off mate, they go in the corner of the Park End and bullens road then walk through the inside to the family lounge.

Here we go again boys. The cup was almost a relief, an escape although could be a mare next Tuesday. Hold on to your hats and hope for something completely unlikely tomorrow. COYB

Ed025's
more like PINBALL WIZARD.
same zero/zero vision!

looks good for us tomorrow.
CITY have all their strikers back,
& we have a forward line that couldn't hit their
own backside with a banjo.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if we cant get up for this one hendo, then i really fear for us mate..

09 Jan 2015 14:04:14
Jimmy Mac, peanuts & the Dustbin out tomorrow,
other than that a full squad, no excuses then!
but Roberto Marmite will find some if we lose AGAIN. a full moon, wind in the wrong direction, the Toffee lady didn't turn up.
the problem I have with him, is he actually believes what he says post match, & so does the other loon Kenwright.
the only people who can see what's really going on are the paying public!
talk about "The Kings Magic clothes"
Maybe BK will turn us into his new west end musical?
any suggested tittles for this upcoming hit from the blue think tank.

{Ed025's Note - the wizard of spin..

How about - 'Cat', 'The lying King', 'les Miserables', or 'the Blue Jersey Boys' or 'The Non Commitments'?

Wouldn't Petr Cech be a good signing no more than 8 million an its not like he's a has been he's still got it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes a great keeper bateman, which is why he would cost a lot more than that mate..

09 Jan 2015 15:57:02
Hes still one of the best in the world, but let's not forget, chelsea have just let mark schwarzer leave, courtois isn't doing to well and would be the only keeper if cech left, cannot see them selling him yet.

Got nothing against lennon, if he signs I hope he does well but I would be underwhelmed if he signed. At least he s better than mcgeady but I don't think he is a player who will take us to the next level in my opinion. See eto is now being linked away any truth in this?

09 Jan 2015 12:09:17
10m for Barkley? Go up to twelve and we might even get it signed and framed for them.

09 Jan 2015 11:23:01
Hey guys if we let Eto'o go to Sampdoria what do you think about getting Januzaj on loan on the left, Lennon on the right and Mirallas just playing behind Lukaku, that could be pretty devastating just a thought.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Jan 2015 12:12:10
Thats the least frightening thing I've ever seen, its like david walliams coming at ya, there is nothing remotely scary about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where would you play Ross?

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jan 2015 13:13:33
I think Naisy's been our best player this season. Not exactly tough competition mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah a lot less frightening than Atsu and McGeady? Who would you rather have Swan? Ross has all the potential in the world but what has he done this season to warrant a permanent 1st team place? Maybe sometime out of the limelight will do him good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley could sit in crnter mid slong side mccarthy

Agree0 Disagree0

No point in having a devastating front line if we can't defend

we need a couple of centre halves

kjaer a defo for me was solid for lille
van dijk from celtic a defo

few loans in that will do till the summer, then it will be a huge summer for us

barry
distin
alcaraz
pienaar
osman?
howard
eto
hibbert

should all be moved on or retired

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - dont forget mcgeady dazza..

09 Jan 2015 15:13:03
Problem is mate, atsu and mcgeady don't play together, its kev and mcgeady or kev and atsu. So yeah, unless your op was an attacking lineup you WONT see and I've misread it, but if that's what lineup you want to see then, god help us all.

Agree0 Disagree0

When I said Atsu and Mcgeady they were the two wide players who haven't done a great deal in my opinion I'm just thinking if we could get two better wide players (and trying to think who we could realistically get) and move Kev into a free role there would be a lot of pace and flexibility in that line-up. I was asking which players you thought we could bring in to improve us .

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jan 2015 16:37:54
But lennon and januzaj are not improvements, you just have less pace (januzaj) and even more lightweights (both lennon and januzaj) with even less (if possible) end product. i'd keep kev out wide and get a proper left winger. Ayew (big fan of his, plays for marseille, we were linked with him last month actually) or deulofeu (love him). I don't know exactly who is possible or guarantees to do well, i'm just saying that both are better than adnan 'no pace' januzaj and aaron 'headless chicken' lennon. Christan 'im crap' atsu and aiden 'roll' mcgeady are both awful, so we defdo need replacements, but I just think januzaj and lennon are a load of tosh.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you think about Nolito? He was linked in the summer and I don't think he'll demand a huge transfer fee, worth a gamble?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he was great against us for celta vigo duaney, but i have not heard much on him since, he would cost around £5m apparently..

09 Jan 2015 20:42:04
Another thing that annoys me is when players have a good game against us and instantly beg to sign them. His record is good, in the spanish league, but so is iago aspas', he is 28, which isn't that bad, but i'd prefer we went for someone better, rather than someone with a decent game against us and a few goals in the spanish and portugese leagues on his record.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do think he'd be a gamble but I saw him against Barca and he looked a real livewire, I think he scored in that game and I had heard of him before he destroyed us through watching la liga, he could do a decent job for us for a couple of seasons. I know it isn't a long term fix but it might give us that spark to get us out of the sh!t we are in now.

One left winger who has played well against us on 2 occasions in just this seasons europa is kevin de bruyne. Much better prospect than any player sho has been mentioned, bolasie, januzaj, nolito. Still only 23, has scored 6 goals for wolfsburg this season. I abree a centre back or 2, along with a gk is priority, but if we are talking about a replacement for pienaar on the left, playing garbutt lb and baines lw would do until the e d of the season when we could potentially afford de bruyne or somebody of his quality. What gk and cb would people like to see approached in this transfer window? Finally how about this set up for now:-
joel
coleman stones jags garbutt
besic barkley
mirallas naismith baines
lukaku

Omg craig, someone has FINALLY suggested an actual good footballer, although I see him as an attacking midfielder than out and out winger as his passing is very good, would love him here.

Something that concerns me with this link to Arron Lennon is that RM seems to go for players who have had some past experience and are either at the end of their careers or didn't quite make it. I would rather see signings of young up and coming players. eg John Stones, Baines, Coleman etc. The likes of McCarthy and Besic fit into this, but McGeady, Eto'o, Barry and now maybe Lennon are in my view not the way to go. Perhaps having one or two in the squad is a good idea, but to have three or four or more means big changes to the squad at the end of the season. When you think that Distin will also probably retire and Alcaraz is just not good enough, it means wholesale changes to an already struggling squad. Swan and me had some disputes about this last season, but I am really worried that our squad will have too many changes and what very nearly happened to Sunderland will happen to us. Squads need a bit of stability. If you also add in Osman, Pienaar, Hibbert, Gibson, Kone and Atsu will also not be here next season or at best will have limited playing time, then even if we don't sell anyone else, we may have to change 12 of our squad. In my opinion this will be devastating. If we stay up this season, we are likely to struggle the following one. Too many changes disrupts a squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - fair point degsy..

What sums it all up is that the clubs looking at him are Stoke, WBA, Hull and Sunderland, he 's late 20's and not on the way up in his career, he's an ex international, and soon to be ex top 6 club player! Is that the way forward for Everton?

Agree0 Disagree0

No it is not the way forward but we are dealing here with a Manager who has never been comfortable in the Premiership, a Chairman that says one thing and then does another and now add into that mix a very unhappy dressing room.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather see MAHREZ the leicester winger? Much younger than Lennon. Him on one wing and Mirralas on the other.Play 4-4-2 with Lukaku and Kone up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jan 2015 14:43:33
Lennon and Mc Carthy in midfield, just need a George and Ringo now that would really boost our international appeal.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it RIB..

I don't agree our future without three or four new young signings defence stones browning Coleman garbutt Oviedo jagielka Baines few more years each midfield Barkley McCarty besic mirallas Naismith striker lukaku who I believe can will still become a world class striker promising youngsters like henen Galloway dowell long ledson grant few others for me very promising future under Martinez who is still the way forward IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think we all felt like that a few months ago coby, but i think you may be in the minority now mate, but things can change so quickly in football, and it would not surprise me if he turned it around..

Look even I'm slightly worried about our form but I'm sure it will change soon Martinez was a god last year brought belief to our club again now everyone wants him gone if we lost him who would we get right now not many names out there at the moment have faith people Everton will rise under Martinez future is bright :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Cobyone, my post was not aimed as a dig at Martinez. Rather saying that we should be aiming at more youthful players than Lennon. If you consider our aging players.Howard, Distin, Alcaraz, Gibson, Osman, Pienaar, Kone, Hibbert, Barry, Jags. All these have at best one more season in them. We need to get in replacements. If we bring a senior player like Lennon or any other player with only a couple more seasons left in them, then that means we have to replace 11 players within 2 seasons. We also have to consider that we will lose at least one player to either injury or transfer to another club. That means we have to bring in probably 14 players within the next 2 seasons. No squad can cope with that much change. Whilst I have enjoyed the likes of Barry and Eto'o, they can only be viewed as one or two season players. I firmly believe that we need an influx of youth now. It is a similar situation to when Moyes joined us. He came in and turned the squad around. Got rid of dead wood and brought in more youth players. It is needed now or in 2 seasons we will really struggle.

Interesting to read RM's comments re medical staff changes. 20 hamstring injuries repeated leading to other injuries. He wants the new Medical Staff to discover cause and effect to determine eradication. Then I'm blown away by the fact that McCarthy is still growing and his injuries are due to growth! Well, its good to be surprised!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would have thought he had an idea if the number of 20 hamstring injuries is true. There has to be a cle in there somewhere. I have been saying for ages that we seemed to have a disproportionate amount of hamstring ones. But 20?? Wow!

Seems to be everywhere about Marshall and Lennon, Jesus km excited by the fact that they're not Wigan players!! Anyhow I'm a big fan of Marshall and think he's be a bargin for his ability, and the one thing Lennon would bring is badly needed pace and directness, he may be a one thrice pony but he's always going forward, and let's face it our current wingers ( super Kev aside) don't even have one trick!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whilst I understand the Marshall link, why Lennon? I know a wide right sided player is needed, but surely we need a player better at holding on to the ball? We already have McGeady who is well capable of going past one or two defenders only to then balloon a cross or trip over his boot laces. I guess two players of similar ability will be useful (not). This is one of our problems. Rather than a player who tries to run at defenders, we would be better with one that holds the ball up for the full back to over lap. If we sign Lennon, I am afraid the writing is on the wall for Coleman.

Mcgeady and astu have pace, lennon, I don't think has successfully went past anyone since patrice evra in 2010. He underplays every pass (like mcgeady) and has literally no skill, he cannot cross (like atsu) and is very very weak (like atsu). he's actually worse than both, which is saying something.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if he is worse than aiden...then god help us..
