How much of a class act is Steven naismith he has just paid for Christmas dinner for hundreds of homeless people up in Glasgow.
I take my hat off to the man.

{Ed001's Note - I was just writing about that, good lad he is, this is not the first time he has done stuff for that charity.}

Now that is a real roll model!

{Ed025's Note - one of my heroes mate..

He has always done things like this and very rarely gets the recognition. Can't think of many football players that I would say are a better professional than him to be honest. It's a real shame that he is being kept out of the side at the minute and feels he needs to move on. But even if he does, I will always have a lot of respect for hI'm.

The lad has been doing this for years. In this day of overpaid footballers there are actually quite a few that do good things for charity. Naismith however has been doing this throughout his career, I mean the bloke was even doing it while 'employed' by Rangers.

Worth noting that he's also a good lad duncansmum, scumbags like Adebayor and Collymore do plenty for charity but are terrible people.

After watching my first game in season 58-59 and having witnessed many glorious moments inc the Munich semi and final in Rotterdam being just two I consider myself a true long standing BLUE.
Now Wayne and his son were at Goodison on Monday night . I take it he left us to win honours because no matter what people say I would never have left Everton for any amount of money, why want more than say £30,000 per week but then I not a greedy B like many footballers . With this in mind perhaps Wayne would be happy to play for Everton for free, because we are in his blood then his wages could be used for the fee .
Any player who did that would go down in folklore.
AND THEN I WOKE UP HE HE or would it be possible.

trebor, when did you have the opportunity to leave Everton F. C. as a player?

10 Dec 2015 08:46:33
An honourable sentiment trebor, but facts are this it is his career and he made the move for what he felt was best for himself and his family, in both earnings and to achieve recognition by winning titles, we have all changed jobs in our line of work so we cannot blame him, Everton is our passion not our livelihood!

Naismith has said that Martinez blocked his move to Norwich in the summer but promised him they would talk about it again in January. He is considering a move because of his lack of game time, now if he and Mirallas go in January that surely means replacements have to be brought in, but he was a gentleman about and praised the players playing ahead of him saying it's great watching the team play with no fear it's a great squad of players we have. If he goes which I hope not especially to another premier league side I think we might have made a mistake cause he is the type of player who can win you a game he has a nack of popping up and scoring important goals it could be a busy January.

Agree completely with this. He brings a lot to the club both on and off (even more so in my opinion) . I would fully respect his decision if he goes though.

Seems like another new grouned has has hit the buffers, surely time now to seriosly consider a goodison solution. If the church on on goodison rd can be persuaded to relocate, am sure the rest of the difficulties can be overcome.
Our CEO seems to have set his face against this option, yet has totally failed to find the fundind for a viable alternative. This, coupled with the record of poor commercial judgment, should lead our CEO to consider his position, and if he will not go of his own accord he should be fired with the legal minimum of conpensation.

Never had time for him myself, he seems to be at the root of most of our problems. Perhaps CEO is to grandiose a title.

After United's result last night I was just thinking how good were some of our results in Europe last year☺☺.

Wolfsburg away or Young Boys away, 2 quality games and quality performances. Still, don't miss the Europa one bit.

Thought the same thing myself and we beat them when they still had De Bruyne and Perisic in the side!

Shows how far Utd have come after spending almost £300m! Rooney come home! Loved the way you were there Mon night. True blue. Never mind the haters. Loved your documentary also, top player, top roll model, top human being!

Rooney is finished. I don't see where he'd fit in to be honest.

Ha ha ha, nice one Pod. Rooney finished, Love it. So you would rather have Kone than Rooney in the team then?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 16:45:10
Pod he is declining no doubt about it. They way he played the game has caught up with him. He gave 100% in every game he played. I know he's not considered old but when you think of what age he started at he done amazing to stay at the top for the length of time he did.

But I don't think he's finished just yet. Still good to play some role for another 3 seasons maybe.
