Just looking at the odds for the prem title here the reds are 33/1 and we are light years behind them (in odds). It absolutely amazes me how they can be stupid (the public) to throw money at them like this in order for their odds to tumble like that. They're crap and have bought at best squad fillers and with the goofy little chinchilla on one they're laughable. Same today on talk Sh**e. Liverpool don't wanna sell to a top 4 rival! you mean a top ten team is trying to punch miles above it's weight by clinging on to the sad sad delussionary beliefs that they are still a big club (won it 5 times you know) then they start talking about teams hopes of CL qualification. Chelsea (fair enough) then the both Manc team (again sound enough) Tottenham (fair comment) Arsenal (again always there and there abouts so I can live with that) and I'm thinking right us next. " Also Liverpool" I nearly choked on my F***ing coffee when he said it and to make it worse they stopped even considering anyone else after that! Before anyone stats I know it's talk sport etc etc but these journos are as deluded as the weapons who support them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Take a deep breath Paddock lad. I know it is piggin annoying we get this garbage year in year out. But just think of the satisfaction you will get listening to the same sad journo's in the New Year squirming and making the usual garbage remarks about us "punching above our weight etc. " Or this year we may get how Robbie has revitalised us or something.

You have put my feelings into words. Thank you.

Agree0 Disagree0

These odds can help us fans out, throw a cheeky tenner on us, if we do win the league you are quids in, if not you have only lost a tenner

Agree0 Disagree0

All the Bookies and I mean all of them, have the usual suspects at short odds ie Chelsea and both the Manc sides then Arsenal around the 12/1 to 16/1 mark, then Spurs and the Red shxte at the same price, somewhere between 20/1 and 30/1 then us at 66/1 to 80/1.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but the point is we KNOW we are not going to win the league. What kind of d**Khead would back them in to that price.

I f****g hate them with all my heart, every year no matter how well we do we get forgotten about and they get bigged up like it's the second coming. Frustrates the life out of me.

I think we are getting ready for a knock on effect bale Suarez Rooney and Ronaldo all transfers waiting to happen once one goes there is a huge pot of cash to spend I get the feeling it will go crazy all this is good news for us because teams are playing the waiting game fellaini has buy out clause and time is ticking away I think it ends this week but no one seems to know I think we should go all out and bring Rooney back and make a statement to all the ex Manchester United and Liverpool pundits we are after champions league football I am fed up year after year being there or there abouts and then pre season not even being talked about whereas the red rubbish are yet they finished below us last 2 seasons how is this

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You make a good point, but for the last time; We aren't getting Rooney back. Get over it.

To our Ed

What would be the chances of you guys printing a segment every morning on what the back pages say, it would save us trawling their sites and Google for stories and thus enabling us to spend more time on this site.

I know you don't all sit on ye butts all day editing us mere mortals but possibly one Ed could knock a post up with this detail on and post it every hour from 0900-1200 hrs, you don't have to say what paper it was from either.

Just a though Ed

Cheers Degsy {Ed025's Note - i think newsnow do it for us degs, having the time would be an issue mate, but good idea..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There's a page on the EFC website doing exactly this - it's called 'what the papers say'

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton usually do a what's in the news article everyday on the official site in the news section.

Enjoy your retirement King Louis, some cracking skills blighted by injuries, top pro in every way.

Degsy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree.

The record for the fastest goal in an FA cup final has our crest on it thanks to you King Louis

Enjoy your retirement, I wouldn't begrudge you a minute of it even when I'm still working past 60.

I wish our club would just sell Fellaini so we can replace him and move on I just pray it is not a dead line day sale. He does not want to be here anymore so just get rid I don't see what is taking so long utd seem very intrested ginger balls knows the story with his release clause so just get done and get rid I am sick tired now hearing about Fellaini to Utd and that he wants to go so just sell him and move on.

Utd are playing the waiting game Stef trying to get him as cheap as possible, we need someone else to come in and bid for him to start a bidding war, with only Utd in for the guy and he is probably wanting a move we are not in a good position.

What makes everyone think he wants to go anyway mate, he has stated a number of times that he loves it here and wants to stay, I have missed the friendlies due to work and the need to sleep so don't know how he has played or his commitment shown on the pitch, can anyone enlighten me whether he has looked bothered or not.

Cheers Degs

Agree0 Disagree0

Opinions will obviously differ but I thought he looked his usual lazy, disinterested self and strolled through the majority of games.
Of course there are mitigating factors such as Ramadan and the heat over there in the US but he looked like he didn't want to be there on the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has he personally told you he doesn't want to stay or have you just been reading what the papers have said?

Agree0 Disagree0

I have just renewed my season ticket and would like to watch Fellaini playing thank you very much.
Ste

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini is as good as gone he has being trying to sell himself the last two years why can't people just accept that he will not be wearing an Everton shirt come the 3 of september what you want and what you get are two different things Ste. Baines is the 1 we must keep let's just hope its not a dead line day sale.

Forgot Yann M'Villa? If Felli I propose him to be Gibbo partner. Gibbo is ball distributor so his partner must be pure defensive player.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Last summer Yann M'villa had an offer to join Rubin Kazan, which he declined because he felt he would be racially abused by the Russians as has been the case with a few other players. Because of this I had huge respect for the man. Then, the same club offered him a second deal with more money. He accepted and lost all my respect. This shows he is willing to put up with racial abuse for more money. not the kind of money grabber we need at Everton.

with Britain's best diver, and one position wonder supposedly going to Madrid for a world record fee, and the reds all star, again a one position wonder being valued at over £40,000, 001. then IMO Felli, who can play in most positions should be worth at least £60m minimum, and Leighton is just priceless and absolutely unsellable anyway as he is irreplaceable. coyb. imwt. EVERTONPAUL

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You're CLUELESS! Although I do not think that any player can be worth these kinds of prices, Bale can play in any attacking position and still win games single handedly and Suarez although I hate him with a passion is the same. In my opinion Fellaini is not in the same league as these two are.

Agree0 Disagree0

If that is true Fazza, then no one will want him.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Not saying he (Fellaini) is a bad player at all, he is a very good one, but-in my opinion- the other two (Bale and Suarez) although they may both have their drawbacks are in the top 10 players in the world

Duffy out on loan, rather cash in on him to be honest. Sick of seeing him whinge on twitter about lack of opportunity, the guy is poor, he showed exactly that at Vienna. Could this mean we are bringing in Alderwiereld? Hope so!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some fans have short memories, couple season ago, distin got injured, duffy played 3 games in the prem and got man of match in 2 of those

Agree0 Disagree0

And what has be done since those two games? His attitude is awful, if he wants game time he needs to put in the effort, if he is being outplayed by someone the age that Distin is then he needs to be having a good look at himself. John Stones has be excellent pre-season so he is now 3rd choice and a waste of wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2013 09:45:49
If you're sick of reading his tweets then don't follow him on twitter, simples!

Agree0 Disagree0

'being outplayed by distin he needs to have a look at himself' so what if the guy is grtting on, still one of the best and consistent cb in the prem. most cbs are outplayed by him.
