So let's be honest. The majority of us are happy with blue bill. Good question mate. Put it into perspective. We're in good hands. Just shows a lot and I mean a lot of people who have doubted it know realise how lucky we are

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Unfortunately those of who disagree don't feel we can contribute to this site anymore without being vilified by contributors and editors alike. {Ed025's Note - That's not fair mate..it's all about opinions, and no doubt you have yours, but don't cry in your soup if not everyone agrees..

Agree0 Disagree0

So do you think the 3000 still outside the ground queuing for tickets at 7:45 before the Leyton Orient game think we are in good hands? They were still coming in at halftime near me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Replier about tickets... That's got nothing the do with Bill, that's the ticket office... Any excuse to have a go at him now, getting ridiculous.................

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

OK Blue Bill has got a few transfers done in the window. He never used any of his own money, it was from the sale of Rodwell , TV money and the banks. Don't forget the old lady is getting old and we are going to need investment real soon just to bring the ground up to safety standards. Blue Bill put the club up for sale some time ago and we have had no takers. Why? Is it because he doesn't want to sell , if so then take the club of the market and come out and say so. Bootle Blue

Agree0 Disagree0

But it should be Bill's business as the most senior officer of the club. We need a more professional board who are hands on!

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding the Orient game, in the local papers, all over the local news and through every official club channel fans were urged to go and get tickets in advance or at least turn up very early if you had no ticket on the night. The only other thing they could have done was refuse to let people walk up on the night. Is that what you want?

I love it when people decide to turn up 15 mins before kick off, knowing they need to go to the box office first and then moan and blame the club when they miss the kick off!

Agree0 Disagree0

The people queuing had been there from 6 oclock and had purchased the tickets well in advance.

Agree0 Disagree0

They purchaced tickets in advance, but decided to pick up on the night, the club advised people not to do this! as they expected large amounts of people turning up and doing on the night! if you get warned and do it anyway, who's to blame? look in the mirror!

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem is the antiquated methods the box office use, they put the tickets in a glorified shoebox in alphabetical order for collection from the bullens box office. In an age when all you need do is present your plastic and then they print them off there and then.
Why is there no ticket office facility at Everton 2?

hey lads i was thinking that as Gibson might be out we could play Oviedo in a sort of pranjic way. Possible formation:
----------------Howard-----------------
Hibbert-----Jagielka-----Distin-----Baines
-----Osman------Fellaini-----Oviedo-----
------------Mirallas---Pienaar-----------
-----------------Jelavic-----------------
thoughts? Blue kaz

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Where's Naismith?

Agree0 Disagree0

Id switch mirallas for osman leaving felli as a holding midfielder and play naismith behind jelavic instead. apart from that good team

Agree0 Disagree0

My preference would be pushing Fellaini back alongside Osman, should Gibson not be fit. But if you want to include Oviedo, then you would have to stick him out on the left and move Pienaar centrally (although as LCM, so he can still keep his passing game with Baines).

Just as long as I don't have to watch Phil bloody Neville in the middle of our midfield completely ruining our passing style. {Ed025's Note - I think you are being a bit harsh on Phil there....the guy never lets us down, ok he's not messi, but someone has to do the ugly things, and for me he does it well..

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone gives Neville stick when he plays in centre mid but I actually think he does a decent job, he's no creative genius but he breaks up play and his pass success rate is brilliant. Against United 1st game of the season his pass rate was 94% and 67 of his 89 passes where forward passes. If he was 25 people would be calling him Joe Allen and the kopites would pay 15 million for him because essentially that's what Joe Allen and even Jack Rodwell do, don't get me wrong i'd prefere him to play right back but when he is in centre mid I don't get worried and slag him off like most do on here.

MikeTheBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah phil Neville was useless in central midfield when we dominated man Utd opening day. He is versatile, v rarely loses the ball and he breaks up play well. People should have some respect for our captain, who in my opinion is our most important signing of the last decade. He has been the perfect leader. As a man he is first rate and respected by all. As a player he has won everything and he would give anything if it meant he won something with us. He is a legend as far as I'm concerned and under DM he has transformed the mentality of our club. I hope he signs a new deal to keep him here for another 2 years. His role will diminish but His presence in the dressing room is key to our team spirit. The team spirit which is recognised by most pundits as being unrivalled. I hope he ends his career with us.

I think any british team would fair badly with fifa as revenge for british media exposing the 40,000$ brown envelopes to 25 fifa officials for world cup allocation there has been other scandals under BL**TER like millions in kick backs from sports firms but he,s like the teflon don. If the reasons for rejection dont add up it should be challenge in court if neccessary. BL**TER seams to be accepted for the name of the ba**ard perhaps it could go in the oxford dictionary. thgfest

So we didn't get this Belgium lad. It's gone now, so what...... we knew nothing about him and let's be honest we were all happy with what we had anyway. Were Everton, we get on with it. People saying there is no cover in the middle, we will cope untill the January window, we have Gibson, Osman, Fellaini, Pienaar and I know it's not ideal but we also have Neville and Heitinga who can play there so plenty to get us by till January!!

Good post. Why worry about matters outside our control. Let's concentrate our energy on supporting the team as passionately as always. The match against Newcastle on Monday week will be a yardstick for the season - how the team responds to the West Brom defeat, how our international players are upon their return, and how we perform against a team who IMHO are in the same sub-CL group of teams as us this season. Let's make Goodison rock.

Across the midfield including the wings we have, pienaar, felli, Gibson, osman, Neville, Naismith, Barkley, Coleman, Olivio (wat ever his name is) and heightinga, even marallas can play on the wing... That's 11 by my count and I've probily missed someone there, I'm not worried

Do you know what Eds and lads, I'm not too bothered about the FIFA decision. The players we have are top quality. It was nice waking up the day after the deadline to find out that we did a sneaky one, but I was genuinely excited about what we had already.

We got a nice little break and time to get our boys sharp and ready. Also Jelly scored again, Felly was awesome as usual. Kev got 45 mins. Not to mention Bainsey looking at home in the English set up.

Really excited still, very sure we are looking at Europe next season. This may be a season to remember for us blues.

So FIFA, if you are trying to upset Evertonians you need to try harder. And do your homework on us please then you will find out that regardless of your hatred for THE FA we will go on undaunted supporting our boys.

Here's one we want extra numbers in midfield how about reo Coker on a free transfer don't think he has signed

Believable1 Unbelievable3

There's clearly a reason - known to those "in the game" but not to me - why no one's taken on Reo-Coker...fitness, wage demands, ability (or lack thereof - like most posters are stating), or attitude all spring to mind. As always, whoever David Moyes wants - and Bill Kenwright can get - is fine by me. They've got many a gem - and very few duds - up to now IMHO.

What have FIFA got against Everton. Its not the first time is it didn't this happen with Victor Obinna aswell. FIFA are a joke

Andy {Ed025's Note - Dead right Andy..

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I don't like FIFA, think they are corrupt, but to blame them for EVERTON conducting the transfer after the deadline isn't really fair.

We had 3 months to get a midfielder, it is our fault and at a push Brugge fault for not conducting the transfer earlier

Agree0 Disagree0

First off, the Premier League and the Belgium FA wouldn't have allowed the deal to be done if it wasn't done on time.

And second, we didn't have three months. We had 1st July - 31st August. That's just under 2 months. You might say we had from the 1st June to negotiate a deal, but we simply can't until we sell, and the deals don't go through until the 1st July anyway.

FIFA gave Tottenham longer time over the Moutinho deal, so why not us? Well it's simple. Tottenham have more money than us to give the corrupt Governing Body FIFA.

Here's another reason for them being corrupt: After we (England) had a legit goal not given because of goal-line technology, S**p Bla**er said that these decisions happen and GLT would take the fun away from the game. Then we had a GL decision go our way against Ukraine, although it was offside anyway but that isn't relevant to the point, and the day after that decision, S**p Bla**er said that goal line technology is a must. Now if there isn't something going on there then I'd love to be given an explanation into reasons behind his statements, and more importantly the timing of them. It also shows Bla**er's hatered for the English, well the English who do everything normal and by the book, not the English who give them money as they love that.

I won't carry on any more as I've made my point: Everton did the paper-work on time and both FA's allowed it, then a corrupt Governing Body comes in, and it all goes pear shaped.

Keith EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

They hate England tbh, we are not the only club they hate, remember russia have the 2018 world cup when england should have it

ToffeeMike

Agree0 Disagree0

The reasons behind the FIFA ruling need to be fully explained especially when both the Belgium and English FA's sanctioned the loan deal.
My concern is Vadis looks a real class midfielder and I would hate to see another club 'stealing' him in January.
Hopefully the legal people at the Club's disposal can mount a convincing case to have what appears to be a petty decision overturned.

So the FA and the premier league approve the loan deal for Odjidja-Ofoe but FIFA don't?
Why doesn't this surprise me one bit!? It's easy for them to upset Everton I suppose, I can guarantee one thing if Man United had tried to sign him and FIFA had to rubber stamp it, i'm sure they would of approved it straight away. What a joke!!

Evening Gents and Eds. Two things. Firstly, a massive congrats to our very own Bainsey for what was simply the best free kick I ever seen. I've never seen a ball curve like it. It almost looks like it took a deflection ;) well deserved Bainsey! Second, Ed do you know why FIFA have said no to the loan signing? I thought everything our end was do before 11pm? I just hoping you can shed some light on it for me.
